We moved to Atlanta before my senior year, played down south, went back up to Michigan for grad school.

struggling with all of these incidents that have recently come to light. I grew up on the wrong side of Flint, had a father who's dad was an alcoholic that beat him, also growing up on the wrong side of Flint. My father never put a hand on myself or my mom, but still had the anger/demons inside him based on his own upbringing. Unfortunately, I saw this rage directed at people who admittedly deserved it, whether it be guy in the bar or asshole in the neighborhood. But never at his family or those he loved. I was given the option of getting my own scholarship if I wanted to go to college, or go to the military. (My dad himself a Naval lifer). I earned myself a football scholarship and away i went. Not until after college, almost to my 30's did I come to the self realization that this anger/rage was also in me. I was mad at the world, took it out on everyone around me. Mad at those who were spoon fed, mad at anyone I felt had not earned what they had. NEVER have I put my hands on the ones who I love, but this rage/anger inside was not controlled, and I believe is also what made my coaches love the way I played the game. But it became hard being praised in some circles for my disposition, and reviled in others. Not until my current wife suggested that I look into Anger management classes before we were married did I realize that this was a fight that I would deal with the rest of my life.
Frank, this is a battle you will fight your entire life. You cannot undo your actions, you can only fight to overcome them. You will have to right wrongs with many people, and receive help along the way. I for one, am disappointed in the decisions you made, but that I am rooting for you.

Guess you better get them where they don't show, amirite??!!

I have worked for 3 professional NFL teams, and have first hand interactions in the locker room. I can definitely tell you that there are a few veterans/leaders in every locker room that set the tone for the ENTIRE locker room. What they allow and what they deem inappropriate, usually everyone follows suit. So for people to think that the Dolphins is a snapshot into an NFL locker room, that would be unintelligent. For instance, having worked for the Falcons, this sort of thing never went on there. The most relaxed, professional group I've seen. Sure there were light-hearted jokes, but nothing like what we're reading. It all started with Mr. Blank, what his expectation was in a player and his team, and that was trickled down through our President, GM, and coach. Any bad apples were weeded out. Why do you think our best pass rusher, a veteran player, was not re-signed when its obviously a huge need? Because he was slowly becoming a cancer, and Mr. Blank did not want that affecting the younger guys on the team.
So this whole culture tells me that it starts at the top, and judging by what i've heard about Jeff Ireland, that where the buck stops.
p.s. that player's initals are JA, if you must know.

of pure, unadulterated bliss. So great.
P.S. I think you're as much a gamer as me. I am a B4 guy as well, got sick of COD. Plus, i heard GHOSTS wasn't that good. Now just waiting on new Assassins Creed. Mixed in with plenty of FIFA14.

like Denny Green. "They are who we thought they were!!"

Creepy head-cocked pedophile is showing up in pictures on our Campus now!!
Hide ya kids, hide ya balls...
|2 years 15 weeks ago||Apples and Oranges dude.||
Hoke had just gotten hired, when most kids had already committed or had narrowed it to a few finalists. He took one look at the QB depth, and probably shit his pants. Bellomy was a very SOLID pickup at that point, not only providing depth but also having enough talent that he could be average to above-average backup.

We hired Coach Brown!

|2 years 17 weeks ago||You guys confuse the hell out of me when you||
use Bryan and Brian in the same paragraph. Can we say BMac and Brian?
|2 years 19 weeks ago||Maybe it didn't translate over to the college game,||
but for what it's worth, Scout listed "Athleticism" and "Running" as strengths for Connor Cook in their recruiting profile. So he might've be regarded as a decent athlete coming out of high school.

I never DNF, and don't play people who do.
|2 years 22 weeks ago||I typically hate all their speculative "projection" bs,||
but i actually liked this one once you read over the values they're weighting.
If you were trending this on a line graph, ours is definitely heading upwards. OSU is #2, which is hard to argue with when you consider their strength in each category. But UM at #5 is nothing to sneeze at, which also means that CFB football "experts" are noticing the job Hoke is doing as well.

Is someone going to startup an ONline dynasty? Coop, too bad you play on PSN, no Xbox?
|2 years 22 weeks ago||And yes I pasted some of the material behind the paywall,||
because screw ESPN and this is nothing "Insider"
|2 years 24 weeks ago||Same thing I noticed.||
Tom is about 5'9, which would put McCray at about 6-1. That seems accurate with Morris and Dawson around 6'3, and Taco towering over all of them. That's a little disappointing as I was hoping those concerns were overblown, but if he's a good football player I don't care how tall he is.

but I'd give it to Martha Stewart
|2 years 29 weeks ago||I love it here, and||
can't really see myself moving anywhere else unless it was Cali. Been here for 7 years now, and it just gets better.
|2 years 29 weeks ago||Well if our elected councilmen are any measure||
of the peoples voice, only 1 person voted in opposition. I attended the town hall meetings, and yes, while some were very vocal in their displeasure, many were not.
|2 years 29 weeks ago||Being an Atlanta resident,||
I can tell you the majority of the residents were in full support. The city has agreed to fund $200 million of it, NONE of which is taxpayer money. This will all come from hotel tax, so tourists are actually the ones financing our beautiful cities new stadium. While I do agree there was nothing wrong with the Georgia Dome, Arthur Blank has built up enough goodwill in this city to get the support he needs for a new stadium. This will further put Altanta right up there with the best hosting cities for sporting events in the future.
|2 years 30 weeks ago||I see Bayern becoming the Barca||
of this decade. Scary team is just getting better. They will slowly phase out the older Ribery and Robben, replaced with Shaqiri, Gotze, Kroos. They are the perfect "Pep" players, short, fast and technical. Gomez is a slow plodder who will move on as well. Not to mention one of the 5 richest clubs in the world.
|2 years 31 weeks ago||Exactly my thoughts.||
I laughed a little bit, because it is a little oxymoronic. By increasing their ranking with good showings and a good season, that would in turn increase our TEAM ranking. I get that they mean by going out and getting other top guys its about the team, but in this case focusing on yourself would be helping the team too. Of course none of this is objective
|2 years 32 weeks ago||Wow.||
Never saw those video's of Ross. That man has the makings of a star. Reminds me of Ernie Sims. Undersized, but fast and packs a punch.
|2 years 34 weeks ago||Anyone else||
Anyone else think he looks like Gary Cole??
|2 years 36 weeks ago||This, right here||
Argentinian's are some of the most smug people I've ever met. I know that's a generalism, but they seriously think every other country is beneath them in South America. Also racism is an issue there, partly due to the majority of them being of Italian descent. (Italians are pretty well known in Europe as being very intolerant).
Again, these are only my experiences, so not to paint a broad picture of them.
|2 years 36 weeks ago||Barry Sanderson?||
Was he any good? I bet he wasn't as good as Barry Sanders was though.
|2 years 37 weeks ago||I'm pretty sure||
that was probably since he's been on campus, much longer period of time. Especially once he tore the ACL, they typically focus on upper body strength and heavy lifting since he can't do much on his feet except rehab.

Long suffering Liverpool fan here. It's like being a Lions fan right now. You just look for things to be optimistic about, but you know its all for naught. At least I have booked my tour of Anfield for April, meet with legends like Dalglish and Gerrard, go in the locker room, then take in a game with the Kop.
|2 years 42 weeks ago||I live in Gwinnett, and attend many HS games here||
another thing people fail to mention is that this area is very affluent, and many pro players come to make this their home. At almost every HS in Gwinnett, you'll find ex-players sons playing in every sport. Orlando Brown's son plays for Peachtree Ridge, as did Cameron Heyward (of OSU). Richard Seymour's son plays at North Gwinnett. A HS game between North Gwinnett and Peachtree Ridge would have anywhere around 9-10 D-1 players in the game. They can also bring in the best coaches because of the support from the community (i.e booster clubs)
