You know exactly what you're doing. You have been trolling here for quite a while now. I'd bet you're just doing this so you can go back to your home base and talk about how many Sparty threads there are on MGo...

You're a sad human being, man. Seriously fucking sad. Pathetic even.

I grew up playing against Appling in AAU. Graduated the same year. He was a special, special talent. I wish he would have just gone and stayed as far away from Detroit once he left MSU.

I said this in another thread. Giving Sparty shit about their football woes is all well and good. Going after Izzo and appling for the rape is fair game. Ffs, they both should be in a cell right now for that.

but I do take issue with the addiction thing. Anyone that struggles with opioid addiction needs help not being kicked while they’re down. It could be the devil in the sweater vest himself and I’d say the same thing. It’s a disease that tears families apart and shouldn’t be mocked

If the system worked Appling would be off the street and Izzo and Dantonio would be in prison for everything they’ve done...just look at their history and the lives they’ve fucked up, but hey Bill Simonson like them so it’s OK!

My understanding is that the lines between dealer/user are often blurred. In many instances the dealer is someone who is an addict as well, gets access to drugs, and then shares it with/sells it to friends, family members, etc. I vaguely recall someone who almost ODed but survived, and then was charged because his girlfriend died from an overdose (and he had supplied her with the drugs). I think those sorts of stories are depressingly common.

Addiction is not something to joke about "staying classy"

This is a weak take OP.

I hope that Appling gets whatever help he needs and I hope his (alleged) victim gets whatever closure they need.

No, addiction is not something to joke about. Even though the PC thing to do today is to offer sympathy to the "poor victims" of the opioid problems, we're not talking about a case where a person got hooked taking Vicodin after a surgery. We're talking heroin. With a guy who had been given every advantage in life one could have. It's time we make people take responsibility for their actions.

maybe it's just me, but seems bit classless to make light of someone with a drug dependency problem. Throwing everything else in there is just low hanging fruit and redundant. Be better, go blue.

yeah.   I don't care that much about MSU and don't really enjoy hearing that a former player is on heroine.  That's sad.  Sports aren't that important to take Schadenfreunde joy out of that.

For a lot of folks, there's a significant portion of life spent dealing with consequences of events beyond their control.

Meanwhile, everyone is faced with choices to make every single day which affect their quality of life and the quality of life of others around them.

I think that things like this entire thread and Applings heroin addiction fall within the scope of the 2nd sentence above.

Choose now, live the consequences after.  At least I think that's how it works.

19 grams of heroin is a fuck ton by the way. This is going to turn out poorly for him, but I hope he comes out the other end of this smarter and healthier. Article says he was still involved in basketball abroad. Hope he gets clean and makes smart decisions and is able to live a mildly normal life.

Be serious, people. He's selling. That's not a "personal use" amount of heroin. Who knows, maybe he's selling to support his own habit. But either way he selling the poison and preying on people.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the addicts/victims, not drug peddlers like this dipshit.
