that's unfortunate, but at least the interest is there on both sides

I support common sense. Never knew that was viewed as a "narrative".

"I would leave a terrible country if I hated it and had the capability."
Why can't they stay and help improve the place instead? You can't make criticisms without someone saying "well if you hate it then leave". That statement is often directed at certain groups of people but hey. The country isn't terrible but it's not perfect. Systems are flawed. People can say that and still love America/the idea of it.

"People fail to realize that being offended is a choice"... Please, for the love of all things great, stop saying this.

Just the college kids, huh?

"I tend to agree with Caesar that the failure of the tweet is that it basically says that you're not a patriotic American if you have a problem with the film."
That was my problem with the tweet as well.

How is using social media to express yourself any less respectable than radio/tv? You have a potential audience and a platform. Awareness is awareness, no matter where it originated. No need to pretend it doesn't have merit because they put it online. Most people solely get their news from online these days anyway so it's as good a place to share your concern as any, if we're being honest.
You can use the internet for almost anything (buy/sell, market, trade, research damn near whatever you want, hell you can even verbally ATTACK RECRUITS & other strangers for fun, etc...) but tweeting about something that's important to you and possibly your children is using the internet wrong? Try again.

People seem to think that simply signing up for the police academy or armed forces puts you into a different, saintly category than the rest of society. You can recognize/acknowledge their service without acting as if they can't make mistakes or blindly supporting just due to association.
It's like people think disagreeing with a man in uniform's actions at any point makes them less than American. I just can't get with that.

This board spent a year ranting about talent evaluation and development being the key to success. So much so that I got tired of hearing the words "develop" and "talent" used in the same sentence. We get a coach who can do just that, yet we're back worrying about star rankings/offer sheets?
We added an intriguing prospect from a place where we dont usually expect to be able to but because he's missing one silly star, half the board isn't sure how to feel about him yet.

makes this all worth reading. Thank you.

We have to find a way to embrace tradition without feeling the need to never change anything. Our fan base is terrible at this.
|3 weeks 1 day ago||The only thing keeping me||
The only thing keeping me from picking Spath's team is Wilton Speight being the starting QB. Overall I like that team better.
|3 weeks 3 days ago||1) There's no way Mark Donnal||
1) There's no way Mark Donnal is 6'9. Official roster lists him as that but it also lists Biefieldt as 6'8 which we both know is horse shit.
2) Even if he was 6'9, he doesn't play that big.
3) Neither Dj Wilson or Duncan Robinson played (or played much in Wilson's case) this year.
So there was definitely a lack of height on this year's squad. When you also subtract Caris' length, we were way too small against a lot of teams.

My first rd took 3 losses... On ESPN that's 10 pts each so I have 290 out of 320 for the rd of 64. Im guessing that'll take a hit tonight, though.

If true, it would have gotten out anyway so I don't see how or for what reason Harbaugh would hold it against Mack. Spring ball is all about uncertainties and contrary reports on Twitter. Let's enjoy it

He did. This story is from a few days ago.
|5 weeks 1 day ago||Good problems||
Anytime you have a 1st rd pick on your team you want him. More talent = Better Team. Look at Kentuckys bench vs M's. We were forced to play Longerman, they would've been forced to play another NBA player. Depth is a good problem.

As a member of one of the most popular African American fraternities, I can say that there are obviously traditions that get passed on that are much less than necessary. But it was never in an offensive fashion. For the most part, I couldn't be more proud of our organization in lieu of the SAE controversy.

Apparently they have quite the reputation to go along with this video. As a non-alum, I was wondering if anybody knows how their relationship with the community is at UM. A quick google search helped me find out they have a chapter on campus but I was just curious if any MGoBloggers were familiar with them.

We see well-educated adults do much worse for currency every single day. Not to say we shouldn't hold the athletes to a high standard, but holding grudges that span decades because someone who couldn't legally buy alcohol made a bad decision is equally ridiculous.

He has a very slow release, first thing I noticed as well. But he can be coached to release faster. At 6'9, that's a challenge you accept.
