Hes been playing a ton recently. I think this is his 3rd start in a row. I watched him against the bengals and he was thrown into the fire against some really good WRs (Chase, Boyd, Higgins). Constantly on an island and as expected he got burnt a couple times.

he's gone toe to toe with Julio Jones this game and he's held his own. Couple big plays, but pretty consistent.

No shame is getting burned off the field - every corner in the NFL experiences that, at some point, every game. Even if its not a completed pass, they know they've been got. WR's experience it, too... It's the nature of the NFL, everyone is pretty fucking good!

Would have been nice to put him at nickel as he was our fastest player and a competent coverage man vs OSU in 2018 instead of watching Hill and Campbell fly by Brandon Watson all afternoon.

I’m a Niners fan too, Ambry is starting only because the cornerbacks of the Niners are decimated with injuries. He is at least another year away from being a capable backup.

Loved that not only was he a good cover guy who could fly but also seemed to relish getting physical in run support

Remember when he was still in high school? Nico came up for a clinic in Ann Arbor and Ambry drove over to AA and signed up - said he wanted to check himself against the best. What a competitor...
