Innocent until proven guilty but...yeah.
So much for resurrecting his career in the MAC. He'll always have that Purdue game...
I don't think anything good happens at a casino.
September 15th, 2014 at 11:44 AM ^
Nothing good happens at a casino...unless you own the casino and good shit happens like every 21 seconds.

Until the Society of Legitimate Businessmen stop by.

Their money spends just like everyone elses.
The only problem is when these cats show up.

smh. It was posted that he had a discipline issue at CMU, but no specifics. That's just plain fucking dumb. C'mon Thomas.

come on, thomas
September 15th, 2014 at 11:45 AM ^
He just needed a new purse to match his shoes. I get it.

Tribal Police responded on April 8 to the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort for a complaint of a stolen purse. According to the officer’s report, Rawls and a friend used credit cards stolen from the purse to purchase sub sandwiches and gasoline.
...seriously??

Beat me to it....

September 15th, 2014 at 11:55 AM ^
Why do you have only a tiny fist?
September 15th, 2014 at 11:58 AM ^
It's just tiny compared to my massive body.
September 15th, 2014 at 12:16 PM ^
Is your tiny fist at least big enough to hold your rag on a stick?
September 15th, 2014 at 12:17 PM ^
Just barely. It's the only way I can wash myself in between the folds.
September 15th, 2014 at 12:27 PM ^
Well as long as you still trying to be a big fat dynamo. Also remember to always go with the muumuu, you don't want to look like a weirdo after all.
September 15th, 2014 at 12:39 PM ^
Shake harder!

If it's a meatball sub, stealing a purse is totally worth it.
September 15th, 2014 at 12:20 PM ^
Now I miss WaWa. I moved from NJ to TN in 2010. I can't get a good meatball sub here to save my life.
September 15th, 2014 at 12:31 PM ^
You too good for Subway meatball marinara?

April 8th. Not August 8th, not even June 8th. It takes 5 months for this to get to the school? Wow.
September 15th, 2014 at 1:06 PM ^
is that the police waited that long to arrest him.
September 15th, 2014 at 1:33 PM ^
They had the video, but they might not have known who it was. I wonder if the publicity about his game against Purdue is what led someone to see his photo and realize it might be Rawls on the tape.
September 15th, 2014 at 2:29 PM ^
They might not have known who it was? He signed the damn credit card receipt with his own name.

Yikes! If the allegations are true, I'm just baffled how a college graduate could be so ignorant. The usual "he's just a kid" doesn't apply here.
September 15th, 2014 at 11:50 AM ^
Even worse, it's all on tape too. CollegeFootballTalk has their own article going here as well - LINK
Video surveillance from the casino shows Rawls entering a casino eatery with two other men, observing an abandoned purse in a chair, and sitting on it, according to an affidavit requesting arrest warrants filed by a Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Police officer. After sitting on the purse, Rawls hands it to one of his companions, who places it in a bag before the pair leave the casino, the officer said.
September 15th, 2014 at 12:32 PM ^
But on the topic at hand, that's what really baffles me. Of all places to steal a purse (c'mon) or anything really, a casino is the absolute worst place you could choose.
September 15th, 2014 at 1:15 PM ^
outside of certain government buildings and banks, casinos probably have the most security cameras per square foot of any establishments in the world.
September 15th, 2014 at 11:51 AM ^
A felony charge for what, $50? Was it worth it?
September 15th, 2014 at 11:58 AM ^
September 15th, 2014 at 7:02 PM ^
It was unlikely before, but somehow this incident makes it even harder for me to imagine that Mr. Rawls spends much time watching primetime network TV dramas.
September 15th, 2014 at 11:52 AM ^
I knew he wanted more time when he left Michigan, I just didn't think it was that kind of time.

After all this kid said in that MLive piece last week about having chances to turn his life around and make opportunities for himself through football... Graduating from college, producing for his family...
And then this?
September 15th, 2014 at 12:22 PM ^
Not to beat a dead horse, but that interview was done MONTHS after this happened. Maybe he thought he was off the hook because they hadn't pressed charges, yet.

I doubt he's going to prison over this, but someone has to push things over the line...
September 15th, 2014 at 12:01 PM ^
After the Ray Rice incident, everyone in America should know that every single thing that happens in a casino will be caught on film.
September 15th, 2014 at 12:01 PM ^
How does anybody in a casino not realize there are cameras everywhere? Unbelievable.
