So of all the things on South Park over the years, this is where you draw the line for weirdness?

Nothing like an announcement thread 15 hours before the actual announcement. I font miss the offseason.

I feel like I'm watching the OSU game all over again.
|5 weeks 5 days ago||Haha yeah, I had been mulling||
Haha yeah, I had been mulling over it for a couple of days and realized that I needed to make a decision on Hill/Smith, hence the thread. They are now locked in, Hill is starting, Smith is not.
EDIT: Annnnnnnd Hill loses a fumble. Ugh.

If anything, that drives the point home even more, though. If Stanford is able to win with their restrictions on admissions, ND certainly should be able to.
|6 weeks 3 days ago||Regardless of what you think||
Regardless of what you think of the bowl system, the fact that the orange bowl is not on Jan 1 has absolutely no bearing on the quality of the bowl. To claim otherwise is borderline idiotic.
|6 weeks 4 days ago||What I mean by less||
What I mean by less functional is that Mac is simply not compatible with as many software products, and often their products don't feature as many ports, etc.
The main thing is that I feel that the majority of Mac users primarily use their machines as Web browsers, and you can spend literally a quarter of the money for a MacBook pro on something that will accomplish that for you
Edit: This is exactly what I'm talking about: http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/pros-and-cons-our-quick-verdict-on-the-new-macbook-pro/ar-AAl3PLl?li=AA4Zoy&ocid=spartanntp
No USB ports? That's just idiotic.
|6 weeks 4 days ago||I really don't get people's||
I really don't get people's insistence on using Mac. It's a less functional product and costs about twice as much as it should, yet people still buy it.
I also don't get the security argument - I have zero issues with security on my windows machine.

I'm guessing that his AP voter privileges were under fire, which was the reason for the apology.

Meh. The only thing worse than watching a mediocre team play basketball is early season mediocre basketball.

No one else cares how bad the refs were, and it just makes our fan base look petty. We need to drop it.
We're they bad? Of course. Will us complaining about it accomplish anything? No.

Yes, it could be worse. It could also be better.

The only thing more pointless than appreciation threads are threads complaining about the lack of appreciation threads.
|7 weeks 2 days ago||I've been arguing with a||
I've been arguing with a couple of guys at work today about the playoffs - I don't know how you can justify putting PSU or Wisconsin in over Michigan when Michigan has a 39 points win over PSU, and Wisconsin lost to both Michigan and OSU.
Michigan doesn't "deserve" a playoff spot, maybe. But if you think that, then neither does OSU. Wisconsin is only in the title game by virtue of which division they were in. PSU earned their spot there, but it's quite obvious to all involved that they are actually the third best team in the divison.
|7 weeks 2 days ago||It doesn't fucking matter. We||
It doesn't fucking matter. We lost, and we had a lot of opportunities to win the game, refs nonwithstanding. It sucks, but it is what it is, and it's not changing at this point. We just need to move on and win the next game, whatever that may be.
I think there's very little question that Michigan is one of the top 4 teams in the nation at this point. Let's see if the committee agrees.

We also blew it yesterday. Well, like 50% blew it. The refs did the rest for us.

If Vegas is hearing insider buzz that Speight is starting, I'd imagine that we would be hearing that buzz as well.

Are you using past tense in terms of the IU game or in terms of the OSU game?
|8 weeks 4 hours ago||I think this guy is confusing||
I think this guy is confusing 'the Big Ten' with 'MSU.' One of these is having a down year, and the other is decidedly not. On the flip side, MSU did great in the conference when it actually WAS having down years.

That's great, but I'm waiting to see where they are ranked in the CFP poll before I get too excited
|8 weeks 2 days ago||This is encouraging,||
but all of these stats were accumulated with a different QB. If we had a healthy Speight going into the game, I'd be fairly confident in a win. With O'Korn, not so much.

|8 weeks 3 days ago||I thought the run blocking||
I thought the run blocking last night was the best it's been in weeks, but the pass protection, at least in the first half, left a bit to be desired.
I really thought the team played well as a whole yesterday, aside from OL pass protection and O'Korn.

So many opportunities for Michigan to win this game, and they just didn't pull through. So frustrating.
|8 weeks 6 days ago||"A truly open quarterback||
"A truly open quarterback competition is suddenly much likelier over the offseason."
A couple commends on this: first, with Harbaugh at the helm this is likely true no matter what happens during a season. Second, I can't help but think that what Brian is saying here is an overreaction. Was it a bad game? Yes. Does that mean that Speight's overall trajectory is down and will be for the foreseeable future? No. He still has been improving over the course of the season and one bad game doesn't change that.
