Somewhat OT: SEC Sucks!!
January 1st, 2024 at 10:29 PM ^
The SEC has been vanquished!
Michigan fans took over this huge cruise ship in the Caribbean. Like Don Brown used to say, ‘You Have to Make Them FEEL You!’
Oh, they felt us!
Go blue!!!!!!

Yeah, kill that with fire…OSU just scored again on a crossing route…those Ds were awful against good offenses
January 1st, 2024 at 11:07 PM ^
They're changing the name to the Southern Ultra Conference.
Yes, indeed.
They SUC!
January 1st, 2024 at 10:30 PM ^
And another L for the Sparty and Ohio fans who jumped on that rickety Bama bandwagon.
January 1st, 2024 at 10:42 PM ^
Such a pathetic way to go down, clinging to Saban to bail them out. Not even he can do it anymore. Those poor, bitter trolls!
You love to see it! 😆

They deserve each other.

Reminds me so much of 2016, when Rutgers spouted all that bullshit about Ohio State being their “powerful ally.”
When in fact, I’m sure Ohio State didn’t give two flying fucks about the supposed plight of Rutgers.
Does MSU really think Alabama gives two craps about them? Does MSU really think that Alabama even acknowledges their existence?
January 1st, 2024 at 11:37 PM ^
MSU is just looking for a big brother. They can’t help who they are.
January 1st, 2024 at 10:30 PM ^
but but they beat PSU, osu, iowa, and wisky this weekend. You know the kind of teams Michigan can only beat because theyre bad?
January 1st, 2024 at 10:50 PM ^
I was sorry to see Iowa get beaten (humiliated), because their coach and AD didn't join the dogpile, but enjoyed seeing all the others lose.
January 1st, 2024 at 10:31 PM ^
Not worth it, just enjoying the moment…
January 1st, 2024 at 10:31 PM ^
Didn't want to start a thread, but this was too good
January 1st, 2024 at 10:41 PM ^
I agree this is too good. It should probably be its own thread but maybe wait until tomorrow.
January 1st, 2024 at 11:11 PM ^
That was delicious.

I was wondering if Day was covering for a disciplinary action with his comments that Hinzman had some bad practices while the OLine Day put out for Missouri had a terrible game.
While the Cotton Bowl by itself will be forgotten, the performances of the OSU OLine & QB have to be very concerning going into 2024. That was not a functional offense and the OLine was a big reason.Even though Hinzman started all 12 regular season games for the Buckeyes this season, he did not play a single snap in the Cotton Bowl showdown with Missouri as former starting right guard Matt Jones moved to center for the game with senior offensive lineman Enokk Vimahi starting in his place at right guard.
...
“Carson was having a tough time the last couple weeks of practice and we felt this was the right thing to do at the time,” Day said of the move after the game. “It was not that Carson will never play here again but based on the last couple of weeks of play, the decision was made that Matt gave us the best chance at center.”
...
But obviously, Jones played more than just a few reps at center in the bowl game – he played the entire game, and Ohio State made no changes to its offensive line even though it was by far the unit’s worst performance of the entire season.

Ryan Day is such a little bitch, and watching his slomo descent into mediocrity purely from just being who he is gets more enjoyable every month.
January 1st, 2024 at 10:32 PM ^
Really?
January 1st, 2024 at 10:44 PM ^
Really!
January 1st, 2024 at 10:32 PM ^
Future B1G: 8-5
Future SEC: 4-5
Go Washington!
January 1st, 2024 at 11:08 PM ^
I’m thrilled that we beat Bama, but the rest of the Big Ten sucks. Actual Bid Ten was 2-4 versus the actual SEC.
January 1st, 2024 at 10:33 PM ^
This OP is stupid. Alabama gave a great M team more than we wanted. They are a great program. They do not “suck”.
Lat year M squeaked by Illinois. In 2021 we were fortunate to beat Nebraska. It’s hard to win every week.
What are you - 16 years old?
Go Blue - we beat a very good team in Alabama.

The SEC may still be really good at football, but it sucks all the same.

I was there. What a bunch of obnoxious hillbillies.
January 1st, 2024 at 10:34 PM ^
Michigan pulled the B10 bacon out of the fire. You’re welcome.
January 1st, 2024 at 10:42 PM ^
Well, after all the've done for us...
January 1st, 2024 at 10:58 PM ^
I am happy to see B1G teams lose in bowl games. MD and Rutgers did good. Fuck B1G
January 1st, 2024 at 10:35 PM ^
The comment section in the second half game thread here was pathetic. People crying for Harbaugh’s job. It’s the usual suspects like the Cube and others but you can always not post your stupid thoughts.
January 1st, 2024 at 10:45 PM ^
I preface this by saying that I was indeed frustrated and called our coach by Bo Harbaugh in the game thread. But, outside of the defense, there was legitimate concerns in the moment. So, it is easy to post something like this in hindsight. All I am saying is allow your fellow fans to face their demons without throwing in their faces...
January 2nd, 2024 at 3:49 PM ^
If one posts stupid shit in public, one is implying that they are A OK with being called out for posting stupid shit in public.
January 1st, 2024 at 10:46 PM ^
People calling for Harbaugh or Moore to be fired in the comments should be called out for their bullshit and deservedly so. Harbaugh and Moore are the fucking reason we were even here in the first place.
Minter too, but you know what I mean,
That said, the folks who were sitting around wondering if this was same old Michigan in the postseason? If they were going to blow it and let Alabama escape with a win? I still don’t blame them for having those thoughts, because I was absolutely one of those posters. I will absolutely call myself out over that. Because the truth is, Michigan gave us every reason to believe that was going to happen up until that final 4th and 4.
But they proved me wrong. And it reminds me that I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a more resilient group in sports. At ANY level.
January 1st, 2024 at 10:50 PM ^
I've given up on most of the game threads this year.
January 1st, 2024 at 11:00 PM ^
every year, every game. miserable people, almost entirely without exception.
January 1st, 2024 at 11:23 PM ^
MJ14 should be called out by username. Dude was bashing JJ all game. After the game, Harbaugh called JJ the greatest college quarterback in UofM history. How’d you like that, MJ14?
January 1st, 2024 at 11:00 PM ^
Doing the same has done wonders for my mental health during games.
January 1st, 2024 at 11:49 PM ^
Didn't see that nonsense, Unfortunately, it's a sports blog and random idiocy is unavoidable.
January 1st, 2024 at 10:35 PM ^
I want Washington to win tonight. For a lot of reasons, but especially because it would essentially be an all Big Ten national championship, and I don’t consider Washington to be a part of the Big Ten that tried to stab Michigan in the back a few months ago.
Honestly, it’s better than the Texas - Alabama match up that everyone was predicting prior to today, which which is essentially have been in all SEC match up. And somewhere, someplace, Greg Sankey would’ve been laughing maniacally over it.
January 1st, 2024 at 10:38 PM ^
Washington is shooting themselves in the foot over and over. Ewers is a good qb but there’s not much Michigan can do but play whoever wins. I also want Washington to win.
January 1st, 2024 at 10:41 PM ^
Michigan - Washington would also piss off Pete Finebaum too.
January 1st, 2024 at 11:17 PM ^
And besides, Washington has never got credit for being good this year even when they've won consistently.
It looks like they'll be a tougher opponent in the championship game, but what the hell. We'll beat whoever shows up.
January 1st, 2024 at 10:38 PM ^
The SEC definitely had a down year, but they've earned their reputation. They have dominated the national landscape since... 2008? This is only the 2nd year since 2005 where they aren't playing for the title.

January 1st, 2024 at 10:40 PM ^
The first championship game since 2015 without SEC representation!!!
January 1st, 2024 at 10:51 PM ^
I disagree. They are good. We are better.
