Chill out
I'm usually flaming the team at this point. But seriously, we haven't even played poorly. Vent and the refs, not most of the players.
A uncalled OPI gave PSU a TD instead of putting them on the brink of FG position. That's likely a 4 point swing.
Horrible uncalled DPI gave PSU the ball, instead of us getting at least a FG. PSU went on to score on short field. That's a 7 point swing probably.
Horrible called OPI on Nico gives PSU another short field. That might be a 10 point swing considering we were close to the end zone.
We're not beating Penn State with 3 horrible calls going against us like that. A fair score right now would be something like 14-14, not what it is right now.

Dont tell me what to do

Are you in need of a SUPERVISOR?
October 19th, 2019 at 9:19 PM ^
Yeah I agree, the offense actually looks pretty great considering the circumstances. Yes there have been a few shitty drops, but there is also some promise for the first time this year.
October 19th, 2019 at 9:19 PM ^
I agree that it is depressing being a Michigan fan
October 19th, 2019 at 9:21 PM ^
"Pretty....ok" would have been a better phrase than pretty great. I've actually been way more pissed at the refs than our befuddled shitbaggery so far
October 19th, 2019 at 9:36 PM ^
Uhhhh....apparently the comment I was replying to went buh bye?
October 19th, 2019 at 9:27 PM ^
Shea = I just wish he would chill a bit and stop trying to do things so fast (which then makes him make bad throws) and stay in the pocket at times and take a hit to make a proper throw. I like that they have been rolling him out though as he does well when doing that. I just think he does not like to get hit .. like ... at ALL.
Hoping the 2nd half brings us the win either way.
We are still 100% in this game.
October 19th, 2019 at 9:59 PM ^
I agree they look decent, but the lack of execution is staggering and about par for the course. I’m glad that Shea is stepping up and running for first downs tonight.
October 19th, 2019 at 9:19 PM ^
I'm with you, but trying that field goal instead of going for it there, was fucking idiotic
October 19th, 2019 at 9:23 PM ^
Punt was the correct call. But, going for it was the better call than attempting the FG.
October 19th, 2019 at 9:58 PM ^
With the sort range guy in a non winning situation. Nordin says no sleepovers. Even he knows that a zero confidence message to the O
October 19th, 2019 at 9:20 PM ^
Just like all our losses to OSU def the refs fault... Let’s stop the excuses and being a delusional fan base.

Definitely a MSU troll

Now if y'all will excuse me, I'm heading out to the garage to smoke a fatty

You're going to kill Al Borges? Don't do it, man! He's not worth the jail time!
October 19th, 2019 at 9:20 PM ^
It is a big game in the Big 10--expect the shit from the referees if Michigan is one of the teams.
All R Referees Hate southeastern Michigan teams.
October 19th, 2019 at 9:21 PM ^
Fair score, realistic score, should be score. Only one score counts, the one on the scoreboard, the actual score.
October 19th, 2019 at 9:22 PM ^
Considering how bad our offense has performed, this is about what we all thought would happen.
Undisciplined line play and poor qb play, this is a recipe for a bad loss
Let's hope this doesn't turn into a double loss
October 19th, 2019 at 9:22 PM ^
I'll somewhat agree. Once the offense started to move the ball, you're correct. The calls are brutal, but the offense was also brutal to start the game. The hole we dug (largely bc of the calls/non-calls) doesn't help win big road games.
I didn't want to start a new thread for this (enough of those are popping up), but have you ever seen a QB in shotgun to neal it like Shea did at the end of the half? That was crazy.
October 19th, 2019 at 9:22 PM ^
We are still in this game but too many offsides calls and mental mistakes so far. Hopefully they clean this up and make this close and pull out the win in the 2nd half. I am always hopeful.
I would still like to see DM marched out there to be the QB. Really would. When Shea has time and can step into a throw he is fine but man he gets antsy wayyyyyy to fast.
Let's go !
October 19th, 2019 at 9:22 PM ^
If this if that then Michigan would have actually won, same thing every week. Give it a rest

October 19th, 2019 at 9:23 PM ^
This is probably the best we have played on offense this year. The pick was bad but we are moving the ball
October 19th, 2019 at 9:24 PM ^
I’m sorry but there’s far too much logic used in your post for my taste. I only come here for the completely irrational hawt takes.
October 19th, 2019 at 9:24 PM ^
Am I the only one who heard Chris Fowler say this is the fourth different offense for Shea Patterson in his four years?
I think that matters.
October 19th, 2019 at 9:26 PM ^
Stats are pretty even good in the first half. We’ve hurt ourselves with drops and the refs have definitely fucked us too. Let’s see how things go in the second half.
October 19th, 2019 at 9:26 PM ^
Yeah, great synopsys...... ifs, ands and buts.
Fucking A, Harbaugh is a great coach and things just keep going against his teams. TOTALLY not his fault......
What a stupid fucking post
October 19th, 2019 at 9:36 PM ^
I’ve never complained in any big game ever. Including the 2016 OSU game.
Harbaugh is not a Big Game coach. That’s a fact. However, this game hasn’t shown shit other than that the refs have been horseshit and are directly affecting the score by double digits
October 19th, 2019 at 9:26 PM ^
I hate talking with anyone about officiating. If you post in on FB, or talk with anyone who isn't a fan of Michigan and the Lions, we just seem insane. But, seriously, are there two teams that get screwed more than Michigan football and the Lions? Does every fan base feel the same way we do?
October 19th, 2019 at 9:27 PM ^
We cant chill out when the team looks completely unprepared. A delay of game penalty before the first play of the game? Are you serious. All those penalties all those poor defense of calls that allow them to have wide-open receivers?
This is the best Coach Harbaugh can do. We are getting embarrassed in front of a national audience. Who has it better than us?
October 19th, 2019 at 9:28 PM ^
In the B1G we are screwed forever. Officials hate us and it is beyond just petty bias. Hard to take any more.
October 19th, 2019 at 9:36 PM ^
This is the typical Detroit Lions fan mentality. SOL and SOH. All Harbaugh's 4 and 5 Star recruits are officially Lionized and the fans are fucked
October 19th, 2019 at 9:28 PM ^
Awful B1G officiating. UM getting screwed. UM folding under the conditions. Nothing new.
Bad things are going to happen. Winning teams fight thru adversity and just grind out tough games. This team needs a team psychologist who can team them perseverance and the team definitely needs player leadership to dig in and fight.
October 19th, 2019 at 9:29 PM ^
Too many dropped passes and penalties.
October 19th, 2019 at 9:29 PM ^
I’m generally in the party of “don’t complain about one bad call because refs are human and things even out.”
But when you have 3 massive horrible calls against the same team that changes the score by a double digit amount of point, you gotta get your shit together
October 19th, 2019 at 9:43 PM ^
Missed PI call - PSU’s TE pushes off Hudson. Kirk calls it “nice Sunday move” which is code for that was a clear PI ... - 7 points
Missed PI #2 - DPJ is mugged for a clear first down in Red Zone ... - 7 points (gifted 7 from bad call).
Missed PI # 3 - Collins gets position and called for offensive holding ... - at least 3 pts
Total impact ... - 17 pts
just sucks
October 19th, 2019 at 9:47 PM ^
My biggest problem, and it’s been this way Harbaugh’s entire tenure: Very little resiliency after horrible calls/bad luck/etc. As soon as those plays went against us, I expected the worst, b/c that’s how it goes w/ this team (ex: I believe OSU scored right after JT got that favorable spot). Teams usually get their confidence/swagger from their coaching staff, and we tend to lose all focus for a drive or two after we’ve been “wronged”.
October 19th, 2019 at 9:58 PM ^
But when EVERY call is against you to kill any momentum it just is so deflating. So far UM’s resiliency has been outstanding. Need to make it a one score differential in the 4th quarter.
October 19th, 2019 at 10:05 PM ^
Yeah we're getting the short end of the officiating, but we're also not making any big plays like Cain's run or Hamler's TD catch. You gotta have those to win on the road.
October 19th, 2019 at 10:22 PM ^
Defense is going into shutdown mode. Offense needs to score 10 points to turn out the lights. Go Blue !!!
October 19th, 2019 at 10:29 PM ^
Holy fucking shit. That PI call is just garbage. Was the pass catchable by the penalized player? The pass went 20 yards downfield no way near the intended receiver. This sucks.
