Chill out

I'm usually flaming the team at this point. But seriously, we haven't even played poorly. Vent and the refs, not most of the players.

A uncalled OPI gave PSU a TD instead of putting them on the brink of FG position. That's likely a 4 point swing.

Horrible uncalled DPI gave PSU the ball, instead of us getting at least a FG. PSU went on to score on short field. That's a 7 point swing probably.

Horrible called OPI on Nico gives PSU another short field. That might be a 10 point swing considering we were close to the end zone.

We're not beating Penn State with 3 horrible calls going against us like that. A fair score right now would be something like 14-14, not what it is right now.

Yeah I agree, the offense actually looks pretty great considering the circumstances. Yes there have been a few shitty drops, but there is also some promise for the first time this year.

Shea =  I just wish he would chill a bit and stop trying to do things so fast (which then makes him make bad throws) and stay in the pocket at times and take a hit to make a proper throw.  I like that they have been rolling him out though as he does well when doing that.  I just think he does not like to get hit .. like ... at ALL.

Hoping the 2nd half brings us the win either way.

We are still 100% in this game.

It is a big game in the Big 10--expect the shit from the referees if Michigan is one of the teams.

All R Referees Hate southeastern Michigan teams.

Considering how bad our offense has performed, this is about what we all thought would happen.

Undisciplined line play and poor qb play, this is a recipe for a bad loss

Let's hope this doesn't turn into a double loss

I'll somewhat agree. Once the offense started to move the ball, you're correct. The calls are brutal, but the offense was also brutal to start the game.  The hole we dug (largely bc of the calls/non-calls) doesn't help win big road games.

I didn't want to start a new thread for this (enough of those are popping up), but have you ever seen a QB in shotgun to neal it like Shea did at the end of the half? That was crazy.

We are still in this game but too many offsides calls and mental mistakes so far.  Hopefully they clean this up and make this close and pull out the win in the 2nd half.  I am always hopeful.

I would still like to see DM marched out there to be the QB.  Really would.  When Shea has time and can step into a throw he is fine but man he gets antsy wayyyyyy to fast.

Let's go !

I’m sorry but there’s far too much logic used in your post for my taste.  I only come here for the completely irrational hawt takes.

Am I the only one who heard Chris Fowler say this is the fourth different offense for Shea Patterson in his four years?

I think that matters.

Stats are pretty even good in the first half. We’ve hurt ourselves with drops and the refs have definitely fucked us too.  Let’s see how things go in the second half.

Yeah, great synopsys......  ifs, ands and buts.

Fucking A, Harbaugh is a great coach and things just keep going against his teams. TOTALLY not his fault......

What a stupid fucking post

I hate talking with anyone about officiating. If you post in on FB, or talk with anyone who isn't a fan of Michigan and the Lions, we just seem insane.  But, seriously, are there two teams that get screwed more than Michigan football and the Lions? Does every fan base feel the same way we do?

We cant chill out when the team looks completely unprepared.  A delay of game penalty before the first play of the game? Are you serious.    All those penalties all those poor defense of calls that allow them to have wide-open receivers?

This is the best Coach Harbaugh can do. We are getting embarrassed in front of a national audience. Who has it better than us?

In the B1G we are screwed forever.  Officials hate us and it is beyond just petty bias.  Hard to take any more.

Awful B1G officiating. UM getting screwed. UM folding under the conditions. Nothing new.

Bad things are going to happen. Winning teams fight thru adversity and just grind out tough games. This team needs a team psychologist who can team them perseverance and the team definitely needs player leadership to dig in and fight.

I’m generally in the party of “don’t complain about one bad call because refs are human and things even out.”

But when you have 3 massive horrible calls against the same team that changes the score by a double digit amount of point, you gotta get your shit together

Missed PI call - PSU’s TE pushes off Hudson.  Kirk calls it “nice Sunday move” which is code for that was a clear PI ... - 7 points

Missed PI #2 - DPJ is mugged for a clear first down in Red Zone ... - 7 points (gifted 7 from bad call).

Missed PI # 3 - Collins gets position and called for offensive holding ... - at least 3 pts

Total impact ... - 17 pts

just sucks

My biggest problem, and it’s been this way Harbaugh’s entire tenure: Very little resiliency after horrible calls/bad luck/etc. As soon as those plays went against us, I expected the worst, b/c that’s how it goes w/ this team (ex: I believe OSU scored right after JT got that favorable spot). Teams usually get their confidence/swagger from their coaching staff, and we tend to lose all focus for a drive or two after we’ve been “wronged”.
