"It's not about last year or who's here or who's isn't here," says your head coach. "It's about getting out here and competing and seeing who is here, and that's where we're gonna go."

I totally agree with you. I really have confidence in our coaches to mold the running game. I expect it to be well above average by the end of the year. The RB's averaged 5.4 YPC last year according to the article. They were tremendously improved last year and I expect them to be even better this season. It is a luxury having a lot of guys coming back even though it will be a different system.

DV cases are often resolved through MCL 769.4a which is a type of of deferred sentence resulting in a dismissal assuming the Defendant does well on probation. I'm curious as to why the case wasn't resloved in this matter. It might be because Frank Clark had already received HYTA treatment in Circuit Court for the theft. I've been a criminal prosecutor for 10 years and there aren't more difficult cases to prove than domestic violence cases.

I would take the over. I have a hunch we clean up on the in state talent this year.

I think most kids are going to have the opinion that something like this will never happen to me and that's why it keeps happening. How many of these stories have we had over the years involving Meyer or the SEC. I know I sound jaded, but it just doesn't seem to make a difference. Kids still end up lining up to play for the same coaches that are always alleged to be involved in shady practices.
|1 week 5 days ago||Honestly, it is unfortunate||
Honestly, it is unfortunate for the kid but I don't think it will affect Meyer's ability to recruit at all. He is going to get almost anyone he wants at this point. I would like to convince myself that stories like this will hurt his ability to get kids, but I don't think it will make any difference whatsoever.

Have you tried Perrin? They would certainly be in my top 10. That is a very good list even without Perrin.

My go to Spring/Summer beer....Oberon.

That is the one that immediately came to my mind. We would have probably played for the title that year.
|4 weeks 21 hours ago||This is very similar to how||
This is very similar to how MSU used Riley Bullough( I apologize for the MSU reference). He was redshirted his first season, and then played fullback his first year on the field. After they graduated some guys, they moved him back to linebacker where he played quite a bit. Sometimes you just want to get your best football players on the field. It doesn't mean they are stuck at that position permanently.
|4 weeks 23 hours ago||I think D will be quite a bit||
I think D will be quite a bit better this year and close to elite. There are a lot of guys who have played a lot of football coming back this season. The one thing that does concern me is the lack of pass rush. I'm not sure where the pass rush will come from unless we decide to blitz more. I'm still convinced there is a ton of talent on both sides of the ball.

I hated his guts when he was at Duke (because I was a dumb kid), but the guy was a great player. He has back to back titles, was on the dream team and played in the NBA. That being said he seems like a big whiner. Who cares a couple 18 year old kids thought you were a bitch or a pussy. It made for good television. He got the last laugh by winning that title game. I'm not understanding why he seems so taken back by the comments of Rose and King.

Prosecutor - Subaru Crosstrek
My wife is a Senior Partner at a law firm and she drives a Subaru Outback. We just aren't car people. The only thing I care about is having something reliable and something that can haul my bikes around all year.

I wish I could upvote you more than one time. Both those guys are absolute morons and deserve to be struck down by a meteor.

These incidents are tough especially when there are no criminal charges. This is a University that had allegations against a whole bunch of lacrosse players not that long ago that most believe were unfounded that destroyed a lot of peoples lives and reputations. The flip side is you don't want to end up like Penn State where it looks like you are turning a blind eye to people being abused.

I also am betting on Malzone to win the job. He could be our Kellen Moore (Boise State). He may not be the most physically gifted kid but has played a lot of football and looks to have the football IQ we desperately need.
This is rampant speculation on my part, but I liked the kid coming out of HS more than a lot of guys. If he could turn into an Alex Smith type we will win a ton of football games.

I just happend to have the game on in the background when McGary made the the move. I literally jumped up of the couch when I saw it. I'm glad he is doing so well, but part of me still feels like we were cheated by only getting a short run with Mitch. That probably is just sour grapes but he really is playing well in limited time.

It is pretty available in Grand Rapids. I picked a couple of bottles up at D&W in Rockford. They actually had it on tap at Bostwick Inn Restaurant for a while. The DogFish Head Burton Baton is what seems to be tricky to find even though it is supposed to be more available.
Edit: It was actually the 90 minute that they had on tap at Bostwick.

I don't disagree with you at all. I would argue he probably gave more than he got. However, you can't let the kid use your facilities when he will be trying to destroy you next season. If Oregon wasn't on the schedule I would argue this is sour grapes, but when they are the opponent it is different. I genuinely feel bad for the kid because I would do exactly what he is doing if I was in his situation, but I can't fault the coach for restricting his access to the team and facilities since he is now the opponent.
|9 weeks 5 days ago||I'm a little sympathetic to||
I'm a little sympathetic to the Eastern Washington coach because their first game is Oregon next season. You can't let the kid use your facilities in an effort to get better when he is playing against you in your first game next year. I agree with most of the comments that the NCAA is a joke as a whole, but the circumstances involving Eastern Washington are kind of unique.
|9 weeks 5 days ago||This is an interesting||
This is an interesting discussion. My wife and I both have JD's and are relatively successful. The only debt we have left is my wife's law school loan and our house. We woudln't have been able to do those things without our degrees. That being said, we both went to State Institutions for undergrad and avoided having much debt that wasn't from grad school. My brother went to Hope College which is a fine school but he accumulated over 100000 in undergrad debt as a Biology major. He is making a living but I'm sure he could have gone somewhere else and saved a fortune and been no worse off.
My daughter is 6 and I'm already starting to plan things out for her. I would love to see her graduate from undergrad with no debt. I envision myself steering her to a local public school as opposed to somewhere else because I just don't think there is a cost benfeit to the other alternatives. I just can't imagine having tens of thousands of dollars of debt from undergrad unless I was certain I would be employable at a certain wage. Currently, it just seems like so many college kids are what I would call underemployed and have enormous debt to go with it.

I'll have whatever Edwards is having. He is really drinking the Kool-Aid. I wouldn't be surprised if we have good season next year but the non-league schedule is tough. I think the team will get better as year goes on but, the Rose Bowl seems a little far fetched. I hope I'm wrong though.
|9 weeks 6 days ago||I have a feeling about||
I have a feeling about Malzone. He just seems like one of those kids that was born to play QB. I'm not sure how his physical tools stack up, but he just has the look for what it is worth. Gentry looks like a boom or bust kid. I wouldn't at all be surprised if he was the first pick in the NFL someday with his measurables. I'm really confident Harbaugh will coach up the kids and eventually we will be very sound at the position.
|10 weeks 18 hours ago||I genuinely believe people||
I genuinely believe people overanalyze things, but I can't imagine why he would wear that shirt. If he is planniing on sticking with OSU he is making things very tough on himself. The fans are going to jump all over him even though it may just be a workout shirt. I can't imagine any Michigan fans would be excited if their commits were working out in OSU gear.
|10 weeks 4 days ago||Honestly, we have a staff||
Honestly, we have a staff that has more NFL experience than just about anyone if the country. I don't think we will have a problem selling that at all. If I was a top recruit and my goals were my education and getting to the NFL, Michigan would be at the top of my list. I honestly can't think of another univeristy that can combine those two things as well as Michigan. We aren't going to have a problem recruiting kids in the future. I have no doubts we will have Top 10ish classes going foward. Recruiting has never been our problem.
|11 weeks 5 days ago||This excites me more than||
This excites me more than recruiting. The idea that some of our guys will reach their potential or exceed it is why I think we will be world beaters going forward. Harbaugh will recruit at a level he has never been able to recruit at before. Then he will coach them up, and we will be a problem for just about anybody.
|15 weeks 2 days ago||The non-league schedule||
The non-league schedule really worries me. Utah, BYU, and Oregon State are a problem. I think we will be 2-2 in non-league and end up 7-5 or 8-4.

It's my birthday, and I'm drinking everything. Today was the best present ever. Jim Harbaugh was my favorite player growing up. The first game I ever remember watching was when they beat the Buckeyes in 1986 when I was 9 years old. Today was a great day.

Suh's play has been so good on the field this year, but that was just flat out stupid. I can't even defend him. Especially, after the Lions center was suspended just the week before for a similar act. Suh probably just played his last game in a Lions uniform as well. Cowboys will probably run wild on Detroit now. Oh well, I still riding the Harbaugh wave of happiness and will be for the forseeable future.

I think he will will catch a lot of criticism whether it is fair or not. If he would have said no from the get go, people would have understood. This has drug out so long that if he turns down job, a lot of people are going to go bonkers. I'm not saying it is fair or unfair, just that he may end up being the villain to the majority.
