| 3 weeks 3 days ago | I understand evryones thinking Moore will be |
a great player if you base it simply on his wins and yards. Remember the conference Boise played in, BSU beat up on some of the weakest Div 1 competition in football. They played one tough game at the beginning of each season and then a competitive bowl game(which they usually won). I think of Moore as a Andre Ware type. Wins a lot in college due to system and the league, but does not adapt well to the NFL. The NFL learned something from all the Houston QBs that put up insane numbersa, but can't hit a receiver in the NFL. I think Keenum will be another. |

draft a Michigan player!

| 4 weeks 4 hours ago | Strive for more information in your title |
That's what makes us want to click on it. Gotta have some good details in the thread, not just basic news, unless it's awesome news. Then of course LINK it. You'll get the hang of it. |

trade up to get an impact player in the first round. They need so much help in the secondary, O-line and RB they could stand to have three picks in the first 2 rounds. I think Molk and Martin are by far the best UM bets to get drafted, it seems Michigan receivers don't get a lot of attention early on. Junior made some great catches, but in the NFL you have to get open and I don't know if he has the speed to separate in the NFL. He didn't separate much in college. RVB should land somewhere, it'll be late but he'll get picked up. |
| 4 weeks 5 days ago | So Brandon will be some sort of genius |
for manipulating the alumni, fans and donors, by "lying" that the AD can't afford to send the band and miraculously comes up with the funds at the last minute and the band is in Dallas. So genius = lying and manipulating???? Sounds like politics to me. Tell the people one thing when you know it will incite a movement and get his way without spending the money has already has to cover it. MANIPULATION. Not a trait that would inspire me as a fan. I have yet to hear one solid reason why the band isn't going. The AD has the money. It is a special event. Home much do all the "unique" unis that look like crap cost? Sorry, but Brandon is losing respect and trust really quickly. He lost my respect and trust instantly. |
| 4 weeks 5 days ago | I just emailed this to mr. B |
Mr. Brandon,
I am a proud season ticket holder, my father and uncle are proud alums of the University of Michigan. My family has had seats in Michigan Stadium since 1956.
You sir, have sold out the tradition, pride and everything that Michigan stands for. You jack up the prices for a bunch of nothing home games, sell the fanbase a bill of goods to play Alabama at Texas Stadium. And now you take away the the singular most recognizable piece of the vocal fanbase by choosing to not send the marching band to the game. Don't you dare tell me it costs too much! Al Glick and many large donors gave over $250M for the new structures at the stadium and the practice facility. He GAVE you the steel to build up the stadium! And you are now crying about the $$ to send the band to Texas Stadium to play the toughest game Michigan has played in 10 years.
You are not being a good steward of the program! The MMB is an integral part of the Michigan football experience. With the band and The Victors, there will not be much to fire up the Michigan faithful at the game. I am said to say you have basically sealed the fate of the team in this all-important game. You just made it a PURE ROAD GAME! Alabama now has every advantage.
I was on the fence about continuing to purchase season tickets due to the outrageous pricing. I am no longer on the fence. This will be the last season you will get my money. You are driving the real, the passionate Michigan fans out of Michigan Stadium with your greed-driven schemes. Good luck filling the stadium in the future. The residents of this fine state can no longer afford to pay these prices.
I can root for my Michigan from my living room after this season.
Sincerely ANGRY,
And, yes I signed my full name in the email. |
| 7 weeks 3 hours ago | McGray won't change his mind, right? |
McGray won't change his mind, right? If that happens, someone needs to step in and find out what Belein is saying to these kids. There needs to be a 3-yr rule. The vast majority of kids leaving early are physically ready and those few that are, most likely aren't emotionally ready. Bad for college hoops and doesn't help the NBA either. |
| 7 weeks 3 hours ago | I said it earlier, I'll say it again |
leaving early when you can develop a rep and more mad skills in college is better than risking not making an NBA tea. I understand the lure of big money (big to us, anyway) instead of going to school and getting an education. The big problem is, the odds and likelihood is that a 5-10 guard that hasn't developed an incredible shooting touch or mad guard skills is likely to be a D-League guy or not get a contract at all and disappear in a year or two. He won't be able to go back to college b/c he loses eligibility and probably won't have the money or the desire to get a degree. Face it most of these kids want to use college to get to the pros. I wish him the best if this is want he wants to do, but my guess is at 5-10 he doesn't make it and and best ends up in Europe and washes out of the game within three years. And without an education he has very little hope of making it. If "you" have a great skill, develop it the best you can and put yourself in the best position to get the biggest contract possible. One year on a college team that couldn't get out of the 1st round of the tournament and being 5-10 isn't a very good resume' to go pro. |
| 7 weeks 6 hours ago | Doesn't the D.Morris example show |
why it's better to stay in school and improve your game. No offense to TB, but starting at UM next season and playing the tournament next season better than riding the pine or not making a team at all next year? |
| 9 weeks 4 days ago | You can't simply blame one player or the players |
on the court fort this loss. I blame this chiefly on coaching and recruiting. Don't get me wrong, I like Belein and what he's building, but to have four guards and Morgan, or four guards and Smot on the floor 90% of the time is a receipe to get beat. This team hasn't had much inside presence for the last three years. Sims was ont he only guy and now Morgan. Neither was a great offensive inside presence. McGary will be a great addition, but the key to defensing THJ and TB and Novak is to pressure the perimeter. No major inside threat makes the inside outside game rare to non-existent. They had a good year, but sharing the B1G title was obviously their goal and they went flat after that. Getting that share was purely a numbers game and this team was no where near as good as either MSU or OSU.
They will get better, mainly becuse no one is good enough to leave early. THJ and TB need at least two more years of college ball to get draft ready. We have already seen what happens when players think they are better than they truly are. |
