He still hasn't been medically cleared. Besides, Rodgers coming back won't help your God awful defense.
Look at us fighting over the right to be slaughtered by the Niners or Panthers. Our teams are mediocre to bad.

Your crap defense plus Flynn vs Big Ben equals loss.

The kicker's shoutout for his fantasy team and "fantasy owners worldwide" after putting up so many points...
As much as this loss hurts, that's fucking gold.

The Lions got flagged for pass interference during that drill, too.

Bill O'Brien to the Lions?! I mean, he's already there if you squint one eye, close the other, and tilt your head to the side.

Same 'ole Lions. That 61 yard field goal for the Ravens win sums up what it is like to be a Lions fan. Schwartz has to to be fired.

The Lions will just hire another loser anyway and the same shit will happen with the next coach.

As long as the Ford family owns the Lions, they will continue to hire incompetent and/or unqualified GMs, who will then in turn hire one lousy coach after another.

but this captures one essential difference between a winning franchise and a loser:
After the Lions scored the go-ahead TD, their kicker (Akers?) can't come close to booting the ball through the end zone, thus enabling the Ravens to get the ball back to the 33 on the return. Those extra yards were critical, as it turned out.
After the Ravens kicked the go-ahead FG, what does their kicker do on the ensuing kickoff to the Lions? Boots it way out of the fucking end zone, ensuring the Lions have start from their 20.
It's just one thing, but add enough of 'em up and you win. Or lose, in the Lion's case.
Havard Rugland must be laughing if he watched.

The same thing was said about Brett Favre early in his career. Adjusting for the fact Stafford throws about 150 more balls a year than Favre did, the two have very comparable stats at the early stages of their respective careers. Stafford will get smarter and better.

The Lions had the division title gift-wrapped for them this year, with Rogers being out, the Vikings sucking, etc...but they STILL managed to find a way to choke away the division lead. They went from FIRST place, to now THIRD place, in a matter of 2 days.
I have been trying to be patient with Schwartz, but it's time for him to go. The team is undisciplined, and continues to make too many mental mistakes. The Lions need a new head coach.

I dunno. I think you're setting a pretty high bar. When you look at how far the Tigers, Red Wings, and Michigan basketball went it really was an exciting year. Of course the ultimate is winning it all, but a lot of sports fans would kill to have that year.

Fan for many years here.
Wife asked me: "what do you think will happen in the game tonight?"
i said: "Lions will have many chances but will find a painful way to lose at the end."
She didn't believe me.
And then...

I live twenty minutes from the stadium and it felt like 2 hours...
the walk to the car was just random people muttering curses under their breath.
I don't want to see another lions game as long as I live but I know I will turn in on Sunday afternoon...
between the lions and wolverines the last two years of football have been horrendous.
