Me and my MGoGirlfriend will surely be there. I'm all about supporting Bo (NTB) and his foundation endeavors. He was one of the first people that I ever met at Michigan during Orientation at South Quad in 2001--and I got to follow his career up close and in person, as I was one of Big Jon's boys.
I was there that Sunday night after we lost to ND in 2004 when he gave that epic, impassioned speech in a team-only meeting out on the old outdoor field after practice. I will never, ever forget that--and his passion for Michigan. I'll look forward to telling Marlin that.
The Big Ten Championship rings that he and I both have from 2003 bear the message in my Subject line. Those words define the spirit of Michigan (and not only in football): The Team.

You're totally right, dude--and I couldn't agree more. Spelling is next to Godliness in my world; the reality is that my brain is fried after a brutal week. The issue that I have with reviving these numbers and then having an existing player at, assumingly, the same/a comparable position is that it could cause future "Legend" issues. Hyperbolic Hypo #1: Some random kid gets the honor of wearing the re-circulated #11, an unusual number these days. God forbidding, an unlikely (well, not for THIS year, obviously) off-the-field scenario occurs, and he's kicked off the team after some shameful, embarassing incident. The jersey number is now tarnished in a way--and people will remember BOTH players who wore it, albeit in divering ways. Hyperbolic Hypo #2: Roy is now wearing Desmond's #21 this season as some tribute to him. What if he goes absolute ham for 110 (!) catches, 28 (!) TD's, and 1500 (!) yards? In a relatively wide-open Heisman year, he wins it. (He's obviously also rewritten many of the record books.) Now you have TWO Heisman winners who have worn that number. Who is the "Legend?" Do you then put TWO of those big ass, obnoxious patches on there? Bottom line: we are the most prestigious, decorated program eva. Why keep changing why isn't broken? #GOML |

IIRC, maybe between 10-15 would show out of a capacity of about 60. I probably went 1.5 times/week. It's one of those classes where you can get all of the Power Points online and really not miss a beat. Ahhh, Kines! |

The fact that he supposedly hasn't been to "mov sci" in a few weeks isn't dispositive of anything. Movement Science, assuming it's 101, is a lecture that ALL Kines' freshman have to take--including myself back in the day. NO ONE ever goes, it's always early in the morning (mine was M, W, F), it's boring as shit, and no attendance is taken. Of course, student-athletes don't really have the luxury that I did when I'd just sleep through that hideously boring class, but the requirements of them having to go to class aren't always strictly enforced, especially when its a class that doesn't take attendance. Unless Beilein specifically asks them everyday if anyone had missed class (as Lloyd Carr did when I used to work with the football team), how would he really know? |
