Winds of 20-30 MPH Expected Saturday

Submitted by BursleyHall82 on

Winds of 20-30 MPH are expected for gametime Saturday, along with temperatures in the high 30s. There might be gusts up to 40 MPH. Between us and Indiana, who does this help or hurt? I'm thinking we won't be seeing many downfield passes, so O'Korn's ability to run will probably be key.

And speaking on behalf of everyone who's going to the game, can't we just move it to Friday, when it'll be 68 and sunny?

How do FANS performing the wave impact the PLAYERS and their ability to keep a shutout? Also, some people go to games you know for fun and for thousands of people I'm sure it is fun to do something interactive with the crowd. I'll be sure to pass on to the players that you concluded the reason they couldn't keep the shutout deep into the 4th quarter with our backups in was because fans wanted to enjoy themselves and do the wave. If you want such a sterile atmosphere for the game and can't handle some November weather, then just watch from home.

It was nice to see the fans doing the wave on TV during the MD game. It's been an institution since at least 1984, taken up in Michigan Stadium when the Tigers led the AL East from wire-to-wire and won the World Series, and enough people were in Tiger Stadium to actually make the wave go all the way around. I'd really like to hear the MMB do the theme from Rocky & Bullwinkle though. That gets me stoked!

I not particularly thrilled about the weather forescast or the 330 start.  But, lets be honest.  The temperature difference for a game 12-330 vs. 330-7 is only a few degrees.  With a minimum of 92% cloud cover predicted all day, it is not like the sun will be out to feel warmer.  So, the late start seemingly has little impact on how cold it is going to feel.

True, but with the early kick, it gets warmer as the game progresses. With the later kick, it gets colder by game's end.

I actually don't care if it's colder. I bundle up if I have to. But it is noticeably colder at the end of a 3:30 game than a noon game. You don't notice it get colder from noon-4pm. You do notice it get colder from 3:30-7:30pm. And yes, there are odd weather patterns where it may not hold especially with cold fronts coming in.

I'm not going to complain about it, but to say the weather isn't any different is false. If I got to pick, I'd go with noon, especially late in the year.

How do you know?

Also, what does that have to do anything? I would not complain about the weather. No one is forcing you to go. You are putting yourself in the situation to be cold. If you don't like it, then sit in your bedroom designed for a 10-year old and watch on television.
