Makes you wonder if Juwan Harbaugh and Santa rattled some cages these last few months. Basically a missed tournament due to the Shannon escapade may have been the final straw.
Juwan Harbaugh and Santa. Two of my favorite people in the whole world! 😊
blue, i hate to tell you this but here goes: juwan harbaugh is just a kids story, he doesn't really exist. santa does, but not juwan harbaugh.

Juwan Harbaugh, sounds nicer than his evil twin Jim Howard 👹.

I knew it was too good to be true, but I’m still gonna need a minute to process.
Did you give up commas for Lent?
Hail_Yes I did!
Let’s eat Grandma
Sounds good wait.
Tuck comin?
Guess so.
Mel or Vernon last one on the Um/MSU campus. Who you got?

MSU has about hundred million reasons why they won't be getting rid of Tucker anytime soon
His personal statement shows depth and maturity. Great fit in the culture Harbaugh is fostering. Go Blue!
Those grades though? Stanford's demise might be a huge boost to us.
He's walking on fyi. Got into the school on his own, coming mostly to do that. Don't think we'll see him play but you never know.
Fantastic student athlete. Would be awesome to see him get some playing time.
....and maybe even sneaks on the scholarship list, even just for a year.
The tagging of CP leads me to believe he’s at least had conversations with some people

....yeah, Seth said he's walking-on. Not that he isnt playing football.
Well, yeah... You don't just get to show up at practice and say you're part of the team.
But Seth, he runs a 4.3 40-yd dash. It says so in the bio. That's only .08 slower than the world record and right there with Forrest Gump. I think he'll at least be on special teams.
This was the response I was looking for
March 22nd, 2023 at 10:14 PM ^
I think he at least gets some special teams play if his speed is anywhere close to 4.3...even if he's a 4.5 dude.

If he got in on his own as a walk-on JUCO transfer—i.e., purely by meeting U-M’s pretty stringent admissions criteria without benefit of the athletic department arguing and supporting his case—that’s a significant achievement.
Pretty sure he would have been coached by Jarrod Bunch at Beverly Hills High during that time.
Sounds like a great kid. Happy for all.
Is he a 23 or 24 commit
Well, since he graduated HS in 21 and JUCO is usually 2 yrs and he just got accepted on his own to UM I would assume he is a '23....unless he's taking a grad year in Paris or something.
Didn’t really care to read that much into his background. Thanks so much for the info
The profile is from 2021 and his age listed then is 19 so that would make him 21.
Welcome Vernon!!!
Looking forward to seeing you at The Big House 🏈👍
Michael Barrett and Partridge killing it in recruiting.
From his profile:
"My work ethic, commitment and spirit come from my mom, who is a hard-working single mother. My mom put herself through graduate school while raising 3 sons on her own. Watching her gave me the determination and will-power to be all I can be, in spite of all the adversity I faced."
Easy to root for this kid. Go blue!
When I read "Vernon Tucker, JUCO Linebacker", my brain thinks:
Fred Garvin, Male Prostitute

But why

Nobody knows what it means, but it's provocative!
Not every impulse is a good impulse.

Why would anyone downvote this reference?
Ah. Millennials.
March 22nd, 2023 at 11:46 PM ^
Because its not a good reference.

Yeah, I'm a Gen Xer who saw that sketch when it first aired and many times since, and I still think it's kinda weird.
There is ZERO chance someone 6' 2" 220 who can run a sub 4.5 40 would have gone completely unrecruited by Div 1-A for SOMETHING.
I give that 4.3 at least 6 fakes out of 5.
Will Anderson just ran a 4.6 at the combine. I'd be shocked if this kid can break 4.8 let alone 4.3.

Could have trained hard and increased his speed a la DJ Turner.
March 23rd, 2023 at 10:54 AM ^
You can reduce your 40-time, especially with technique training for the dash. But if this guy could really run a 4.3 Michigan would not be making him walk on.
March 22nd, 2023 at 11:14 PM ^
Hopefully it is not a 6.2 40 and his height 4' 3".
He would be an angry elf.

Amazing pad level though

The name you're thinking of is "Tom Izzo."

Welcome!
Go Blue

I am rooting for Vernon. Seems like a great prospect and a solid student.

Everybody seems to miss the best part here: He went to Beverly Hills High School.
