SBNation with a few more details.  TB12 is launching an apparel brand that will be available at Nordstrom’s https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.maizenbrew.com/platform/amp/football/2021/12/16/22839346/michigan-football-tom-brady-new-brand-signs-cade-mcnamara-orange-bowl

EDIT-Please remember to engage with our players’ NIL posts.  If you see them on twitter or Instagram or whatever, like comment and share.  The more engagement they get the better for them and the more attractive our athletes are to other potential NIL sponsors

Wow. Never thought of this aspect of the money train that the NIL deals are.  Imagine being a HS kid , thinking of going to UM and realizing you'd have a chance at doing a business deal with Brady.   Wow.

I can't tell if you people get a bigger kick out of the team's success or the feeling of superiority over other internet fans.

I was fully onboard with Cade early the in year because I thought it would be crazy to start a true freshman compared to what we saw from Cade last year. Then I wanted to see more of JJ when it became clear that Cade can't/won't run a zone read (which apparently was a part of the offense) and is a bit less accurate (willing?) on deep balls.

In the end, Cade improved overall, the zone read has been limited (to JJ only), and the running game and defense have been excellent enough to enable a game manager to win games. It's awesome! But let's not act like the success is all down to Cade overcoming all of the limitations that made the 5* an intriguing option.

Another reply mentioned naysayers coming back if UGA wins. I think it depends. The MSU game was a perfect example of why you want Cade instead of a true FR. But if UM loses with a QB line of 13-19 for 159 yds 0TD 1INT and a stuffed running game, I'll probably be wishing we tried something else.

You don’t build a National/Worldwide brand by catering only to a subset of a subset of the population while alienating all others. That’s like Oregon being like “why is Phil Knight sponsoring all these other schools in apparel.” Nike wouldn’t be what it is if he were that dumb.

Now, if Brady sponsors a Buckeye or a Spartan, then all bets are off. Grab the pitchforks and torches.

I remember thinking Cade seemed like a kid with fashion sense when he took his linemen out for the steak lunch. I hope he is successful with this endeavor.

The pop up ads/clickbaits that appear on my sites once informed how much the AT&T girl was worth doing her advertising. (That’s why clicked on it, haha).
