Predictions
Ok its time..Im ready to make my prediction..As one whose followed Michigan and NCAA tournaments for over 40 plus years Ive seen alot and you get a sense of whats going to happen....My Prediction
Michigan 81 Oregon 72
Why? well my final deciding factor was Michigan has played 18 games against tournament teams and Oregon 9
Michigan more battle tested and moves on to the Elite 8
GO BLUE!!!! SWEET 16

Man, if Wilson and Walton go off and Zak has 15 in the second half, you're gonna need to add about 30 points to your total!!! Or, they only scored 7 points in the first half. Ha ha.

How about we make it like the last time we played a 3 seed and just absolutely crush them?

I'm hoping Oregon being down one of its best players will be the difference, and the fact that Oregon struggled with Rhode Island is encouraging. Michigan just has too much damn momentum right now, and that counts for something. They find different ways to beat you, and they beat Louisville which is, in my opinion, a better team than Oregon.
While I could see this going either way, I'm going to go with what makes me happy. Michigan 87, Oregon - 84
I'm betting Purdue loses to Kansas tonight, which would set up an epic game with Kansas on Saturday. That game would be one where I'd have to say if Michigan makes it that far, no one can afford to have an off night.

I have this suspicion that this is a game of a few possessions difference, so I was thinking more in the 73-68-ish range, favoring Michigan.
Very interested in Purdue-Kansas for obvious reasons. That one seems like it would be a grinding sort of game.

You are neither the KNOWLEDGE nor Ace nor KenPom, your predictions are therefore invalid (though I agree, 81-72 sounds about right)

Hail! Onward to the Elite 8!!

That the TEAM is on fire......Only because we've had the nights where individuals lit it up, but tonight is where Wagner, Irvin, Wilson, Walton, MAAR, D-Rob, Simpson, Donnal......even Wright-Jones!
And we carry that momentum into Saturdays game and beat Purdue!
Boy I sure hope this isn't how people prepare duck over in your neck of the woods.

One of my favs.

McGary in that tournament would've helped them win it all. I'll always believe that. Kentucky wasn't anything special and they were considered the best by many. Was a fluke that they lost in the title game. As for tonight, Oregon doesn't have the fire power to keep up with this team. A fresh team firing on all cylinders spells doom for the ducks. PAC 12 competition level is overrated and not that special. Put a fork in em baby!!

Michigan by eight. KU wins over Purdue by 12.

Mo and Wilson both have good games (Ducks have only 1 guy over 6'7" and he can't cover both). I noticed the trend calling for Duncan to hit some 3 tonight. I agree, his height will allow him to just shoot over the 6'2" and 6'4" guys that will be stuck guarding him.
Zak has a low offense output tonight, but contains Brooks to restrict the Ducks. And Walton will simply be C-L-U-T-C-H....
Onto the Elite 8........ against Kansas, but we'll talk about that tomorrow.....
March 23rd, 2017 at 12:27 PM ^
but if it's Kansas, the ride ends there.
If it's Purdue, it's on to the Final Four.

If im correct ducks are 0-4 against Michigan. So i say Mich 79 and Ducks 70. Go Blue!!!!!!!!!!!

Expect a slow, nervous start. Gut Check by Beilein and the boys. We win with defense and heart. 69-61 Wolverines

200-0 good guys
79-76 Michigan after 40 minutes.
39-7 Michigan
Michigan 75-71

Because I'm slightly superstitious when it comes to Michigan sports I'm going to predict that Oregon wins - then hope, pray, and cheer like mad that Michigan wins.
the famous and oft used reverese HEX....good thinking
wins his match up with payton pritchard on both ends of the floor. If not, D Walt will, but I don't see them letting a freshmen deal with walton
"We're still alive."
I'm making a note here, "Huge success."
Michigan - 85
Oregon - 83
In OT.
Think this will be an instant classic.
By a lot
Previously I predicted that we would get to the Elite Eight. I'm feeling more optimistic.
