Opening line has Wisconsin -3
http://www.vegasinsider.com/college-football/odds/las-vegas/
Not surprised by this, but it does represent a large swing from preseason. With what each school wants to do offensively, I'm certainly hoping for no rain. We've obviously known it would be a noon kick for awhile, I'm still very pumped about that.

Feels like the pick is Wisconsin but I hope I’m wrong...
September 15th, 2019 at 3:16 PM ^
Wisconsin has played all garbage teams. CMU was 0 and 11 vs FBS teams last year.
We get DPJ, Runyan, Jeter, and Dwumfour back.
Shea should be healthier.
If Shea keeps some read options and If we don't turn the ball over....we win.
September 15th, 2019 at 5:41 PM ^
And Don Brown has thoroughly owned Paul Chryst three years in a row. Hopefully we can surpass our 2017 offensive performance.
September 15th, 2019 at 5:56 PM ^
Don Brown has thoroughly owned Paul Chryst
That fact is the only thing that makes me happy in thinking about this game.
September 15th, 2019 at 7:08 PM ^
Going downfield and not fumbling will be our success..otherwise..I won't talk about the otherwise.
September 15th, 2019 at 4:02 PM ^
We have them just where we want them now. ?
September 16th, 2019 at 9:31 AM ^
I would expect a better showing from UM on all fronts compared to the 1st two games: healthier team, learning from mistakes, and focus on single opponent.
Wisconsin looks good but hasn't been seriously challenged yet - they don't really know where their deficiencies are just yet.
I see this as a coin flip, which the home crowd working against us (we don't seem to travel well to Madison) but having this game in September should help (more opportunities for passing game).
Who's feeling lucky?
September 15th, 2019 at 2:50 PM ^
I'm honestly surprised we're not getting more points.
September 15th, 2019 at 2:57 PM ^
I had us figured for +5.
September 15th, 2019 at 5:14 PM ^
Sagarin has Wisconsin -8 (roughly) on a neutral field, -10.5 at home
September 15th, 2019 at 6:27 PM ^
Doesn't seem unreasonable to me. The +5 is because I'm still a Michigan homer.
September 15th, 2019 at 2:52 PM ^
What's the over/under on Michigan fumbles?
September 15th, 2019 at 3:29 PM ^
W/o rain 3, w/ rain 5
September 15th, 2019 at 2:53 PM ^
I'll be there, lets hope it doesnt rain, 40% chance rt now. It'll be nice here until Thursday, then its supposed to turn a bit.
Anyway, if you get a chance to make it over here kill the Lox Box at Bassett St Brunch Club, delicious.
Go Blue.
September 15th, 2019 at 3:22 PM ^
I'll be there as well, my friend.
September 15th, 2019 at 2:56 PM ^
Feels like Wisconsin will win by 2 TD but who knows. Harbaugh coaches differently when he is the underdog but the players play scared either way
September 15th, 2019 at 3:09 PM ^
Has Harbaugh ever won as a dog at Michigan? Is so, not many. Maybe this his chance to flip perception.
September 15th, 2019 at 3:24 PM ^
No, but unfortunately we've lost many games as a favorite.
6.2.5
September 15th, 2019 at 4:10 PM ^
Let’s hope the blind squirrel finds a nut
September 15th, 2019 at 5:48 PM ^
Harbaugh is 0-6 as an underdog as U-M coach, but this issue long predates him. U-M has lost its last 13 as an underdog, the last win being the 2013 overtime game at Northwestern. I’d be surprised if any Power 5 team has a longer such active streak, since even the dregs (Kansas, Rutgers, Oregon State) have pulled off an upset either this season or last.
2017 @ Penn St. L 42-13 (+7.5)
2017 @ Wisconsin L 24-10 (+6.5)
2017 Ohio St. L 31-20 (+12.5)
2016 @ Ohio St. L 30-27 (+4.5)
2015 Ohio St. L 42-13 (+1.5)
2015 Utah L 24-17 (+5)
2014 @ Ohio St. L 42-28 (+21.5)
2014 Michigan St. L 35-11 (+17)
2014 @ Rutgers L 26-24 (+3)
2014 @ Notre Dame L 31-0 (+4)
2013 vs. Kansas St. L 31-14 (+7)
2013 Ohio St. L 42-41 (+17)
2013 @ Iowa L 24-21 (+6)
September 15th, 2019 at 6:04 PM ^
While this seems bad, I wonder how other blue bloods compare.
September 15th, 2019 at 6:48 PM ^
An underdog to Rutgers.
Reminds me how bad it can actually get.
September 15th, 2019 at 7:42 PM ^
Yea I had no clue we were underdogs that game even though I’m a big sports better . I don’t remember at least I should say
September 16th, 2019 at 6:34 PM ^
I was at that game and, deep in BPONE and ready for Hoke's ouster, didn't mind the nice Rutgers fans around actually having something to cheer about.
They seemed to think it was an upset, at least.
September 15th, 2019 at 8:57 PM ^
Which means Harbaugh is 40-8 as a favorite/pick-'em
September 15th, 2019 at 3:01 PM ^
That feels about right. Neutral field it’s a pick’em but at home Wisconsin is the favorite. If it was a night game, spread would be wider.
Need to show offensive improvement and ball security to have a shot at Madison. But we have the athletes to get it done.
Go Blue !!!
September 15th, 2019 at 3:10 PM ^
Coaching also ...
September 15th, 2019 at 3:13 PM ^
yup.
pretty much what was to be expected. Pick'em game with Wisky getting the 3 pt home bounce.
September 15th, 2019 at 3:02 PM ^
Offense will have to be flawless and have to get up early or that crowd will have a large effect.
Don Brown better have a plan to stop Taylor.
Line should at least UM getting 9 based on Wisconsin results and having home field. Home field worth 3 pts
September 15th, 2019 at 3:57 PM ^
That’s just silly, but I’ll put some money in it if you want to give me UM +9.
September 15th, 2019 at 3:05 PM ^
I kind of like when we're the underdog. Pressure's on them.
September 16th, 2019 at 9:09 PM ^
"I kind of like when we're the underdog"
As for pressure---scroll up. Michigan has lost THIRTEEN games in a row as an underdog.
I just thought I'd remind you of how maybe looking at facts helps with posting.
September 15th, 2019 at 3:08 PM ^
If the team can hold Wiscy to 3 TDs or less then they have a chance.
September 15th, 2019 at 4:57 PM ^
3 TDs or fewer s/ Stannis Baratheon
September 15th, 2019 at 3:10 PM ^
Call me crazy, but I think we see on Saturday what we've been waiting for.
Michigan holds Taylor to 90 yards and wins by 10.
September 15th, 2019 at 3:15 PM ^
Man that would be an awesome statement to B1G. I'd be hyped.
I know if they lose to Wiscy, M can still win the east east but all the hype would be gone. I'll mostly be watching the games if I get time and just enjoy CF in general.
September 15th, 2019 at 3:17 PM ^
I still bring up to my UW grad relatives the fact that M defenses held Ron Dayne to under 100 rushing yards during his entire collegiate career. I'm hoping for a similar showing next weekend.
September 15th, 2019 at 3:18 PM ^
From the fiercest dictator in the world to the second fiercest, you're crazy!!
September 15th, 2019 at 3:59 PM ^
We know you’re crazy.
But not based on that prediction. I’m with you.
September 15th, 2019 at 4:12 PM ^
You are crazy.
September 15th, 2019 at 7:38 PM ^
Agree. Michigan has more talent. Only questions in my mind is the health of Patterson and the number of turnovers.
Sorry for the forthcoming cliche but if Michigan wins the turnover battle they win the game (by 10 or more if they have no turnovers.)
September 15th, 2019 at 3:11 PM ^
Good opportunity for UM to play the disrespect card. I think they'll need an early lead. I don't think they'll hold up playing Wisconsin's sludgefart game. I hope we see aggressive playcalling.
September 15th, 2019 at 3:21 PM ^
I'd settle for playing sound football.
September 15th, 2019 at 3:22 PM ^
I almost think an early lead is bad because Harbaugh will sit on the lead and rely on defense rather than going for the knockout punch but I agree you need to put a team like Wisconsin behind. They are not a comeback team
September 15th, 2019 at 3:26 PM ^
Did we sit on the lead last year, when we won 38-13?
September 15th, 2019 at 3:19 PM ^
I would take an Army like game as long as we win
September 15th, 2019 at 3:19 PM ^
I thought someone said we were favored in all our remaining games
September 15th, 2019 at 3:31 PM ^
I think odds got updated based on games 1 and 2. For example, pre-season FPI had us favored by a lot in all games except Penn State, where we were only slightly favored. Now FPI has us not favored by a lot against Wisconsin, Penn State, Notre Dame, and Ohio State.
September 15th, 2019 at 4:51 PM ^
We were favored in every game until last Saturday.
I think we win this one. But if we lose, I hope it was because we spent half the week practicing for OSU.
I don't care about any other game this year, and that includes ND and MSU.
September 15th, 2019 at 5:56 PM ^
Careful, a bunch of the dipshits around here will tell you this is a must win game despite the fact that Michigan can lose and still control their conference destiny.
