Just gotta stop Taylor. Pretty confident in our secondary to stop their passing game. Can't let this become an Army type game where Wisco controls the clock and Taylor cracks off 4 YaC

I haven’t read every comment in this thread but I am surprised by the extreme negativity. We are not as bad as USF and I seriously doubt we are rolling out the offense we had versus Army. If it’s bad weather that is probably not helpful but I still don’t think it means the end.

Here is an outstanding opportunity for Harbaugh to show people like myself that he is a great coach. This would be a huge win.

This is another lose lose for Harbaugh. If Michigan wins, Wisconsin was overrated by beating a couple cupcakes and if Michigan loses, Harbaugh cant coach on the road and loses another big game. Hopefully Michigan wins but Harbaugh wont get credit either way.

Not really.  Because Wisky really isn't that good this year despite their strong offense in the first two games.  A lot of teams have beaten up scrubs and then have a hard time in their first game against real competition:  Maryland, PSU, and MSU.

So, we will beat them, and then they will go on to have a losing season and everybody will say that it wasn't a big win.

Sound like the sharps expect a lot of $$ to come in on Michigan if they're only giving 3 points to the Maize'N'Blue. FPI projects Wisconsin about -7; SP+ projects Wisconsin about -10.

This line means nothing today.  It just means you might want to jump on Michigan early but by Friday this game will be a coin toss!  Michigan keeps their heads together and win on the road.

The only thing I know for sure is Tayor will be getting tons and tons of carries this time around

Last season Taylor was doing some damage in the beginning of the game but then Chryst decided to stop giving him the ball and rely on Hornibrook. I think the game would've been close if Wiscy rode Taylor.

This game will be a great litmus test of where the #SpeedInSpace is, in terms of its installment and development.

OSU has smacked Wisconsin around most years since Meyer took over, because they have vastly superior athletes.  By making the game about the skill position players, they got results typified by the 59-0 game in the Big10 Championship game in 2014.

Michigan has the athletes to do that, but in the past has made it more about both teams resepective lines, ball control, etc.  And Michigan is more talented that Wisconsin there, too, but the margin isn't as great.  UM's best linemen are often going pro as soon as they can, whereas Wisconsin's lines are often filled with 4th and 5th year players.  Those extra years of experience matter a lot on the line: more time to bulk up, get strong, get in sync with the linement on either side of you, etc.  But in the case of skill position players, you aren't going to get appreciably faster or develop better hands or ball instincts in your 4th or 5th year.

TL;DR: Wisconsin is the epitome of the opponent that you want to make about the skill position players; let's see what the offense can do 3 games in.

Wisconsin has had plenty of O-Line leave early and there's plenty of talent there as well. They don't get quite the same exposure for high star ratings because a large number are from Wisconsin and commit early but the number of elite NFL lineman coming out of that program at this point should make it clear there is a ton of talent there and it isn't just experience within the program.  Edwards last year was an early entry and, Ramczyk 17 and Frederick 13 were also 1st rounder early entries.

I don't know where the argument comes from that Michigan's skill players are so great.

What have they shown? And when does consistency come in? And against whom?

The receivers are rarely open and when they are the pass is often off the mark; downfield passing is almost nonexistent. well, downfield passing is great, but downfield completions are not good.

The running back? I'll take Taylor, and without reservation.

At best, skill players are a wash here, as UM's skill players haven't shown much, whther they are overrated or the coaching is poop.

I usually have a feeling one team or the other will win before the game starts (its not like i'm always right). But in this one i really have no clue how it will go. However, i believe there is a good chance this game will end in a blowout.
