Harbaugh is the recruiting god. Bring him your finest meats and cheeses. I’m sure Bjork is none too happy down in Oxford today. Thanks Hugh Freeze and also to your wonderful bagmen!!!

You need an OL that can pass protect and keep a decent QB healthy. We would have needed an amazing QB to go 11-1 this past season. While Shea is an awesome addition, he isn't a Johnny Football/Baker Mayfield yet. With an bad OL in Ole Miss, even he could only make it 7 games into the season. OT and Pass Pro is a huge question mark heading into next year, and the college football world should know better than to think Michigans problems last year were solely QB based.

Held onto the ball way too long and so did Wilton. JOK had a tough time making decisions quick. Wilton probably just did not have timing down with or WR.  Looking at games this season, I did see a lot of our WR open down field in which they were not targeted. Brandon was a bit better but against WI, he had a lot of TE and WR wide open and failed to see them. But atleast Brandon dumped off his passes more so than JOK. Brandon has the ability to improve since he can make decisions quick and has decent accuracy with his passes. May need to just throw it away before taking a big sack.

Really? Top 3? I'm a homer but even I think this is nuts.

Realistically, I'd say this team is ranked somewhere in the 18-25 range, maybe closer to 15 depending on how much respect the defense gets in the offseason. Like most years, our season next year will live or die by how good the OL is.

If the OL takes a big step forward, playoff contenders for sure. If it's more of the same, I'd expect another 8-4 season.

I think there a few factors that will determine our preseason ranking.

1. How well this team plays in the Outback Bowl.

2. How does Peters perform in the bowl game?

3. Is Shea eligible next year?

4. Do we get any other eligible transfers or even land Little?

If we blow out South Carolina, Peters lights it up, Shea become eligible, and we land Little...I'd say we are ranked between 8-12.

Well, sometimes Christmas does come early around here and we do have nice things.

Now, O/U on the thread where we all talk about revised expectations? I say within the hour.

NICE! Now hopefully those Anderson transcripts are getting faxed over so we can see another one drop today.

Nice to have some depth at QB and S. Just need that OL tidied up a bit now.

I would have to say 2000 with Henson and the GOAT......

And yes there was Henne and Guiterrez, but nothing like this....

Patterson - 2016 - 5* - #4 overall

Peters 2016 - 4* - #61 overall

McCaffery - 4* - #126 overall

I have stated this before, with all my mancrush to Denard, the lack of a difference maker at QB has been the key factor to holding Michigan from being a championship team again.

FYI - I point out Denard as the exception and sure enough that was the year he was able to overcome Hoke's and Al's coaching......

This is elite level talent, now let them get to work and make Michigan QB U again like it was in the 80's and 90's

I get your point. But it still stands that we have multiple gaps. And most people, from what I have read, have been and still are more concerned with OL than QB.

This is a very unique situation for us, and Harbaugh is once again rely on a transfer to drive competition. If we don’t hit 10 regular season wins I have no doubt believing that the majority of the fan base will call the season a failure.

This fan base needs to pump the breaks on expectations for next year. I think Michigan has the toughest road schedule the nation in “18”! Nd, MSU, NW, and OSU. Wisky, Penn St, and Nebraska at home. 1-19 vs ranked teams on the road! No tackles to protect our QB. 9-3 would be a very good season! Patience please.

Your 1st comment comes off as raining on the parade when there's no parade, just a joyous walk through the park. Whether you are of the opinion that QB or OL is worse doesn't change the fact that we just improved one of our greatest weaknesses that probably lost us 2 games this year.
