[đź”’; deletion pending] Cade done for the season/transferring?

He is not on the sidelines. I believe he posted some stuff from his home on Instagram this past weekend. It's just kind of weird at this point, seeing as how...it would be great to have a backup quarterback on the roster.

In my day injured players would often travel on their own dime and sit in the stands using guest passes from the program (given contractually by the home team). But they wouldn’t always. I never did but I wasn’t anywhere near as important as Cade.

If someone has actual inside knowledge of Cade’s plans or intentions say it and cite your source or get verified by someone credible. Otherwise there are any number of reasons he could have been at home as there were any number of reasons why I never traveled to meet the team when injured.

I feel for Cade, he's basically been forgotten at this point.  The idea that a B1G championship QB and team captain would be watching from home obviously suggests he is injured, but it must be hard for him to accept that he was passed over by JJ and there doesn't seem to be a path for him to return to meaningful playing time if not for injury.

Harbaugh crowing about how JJ reminds him of a young "Jimmie Harbaugh" probably makes him further feel like the forgotten red headed step child.

That said, Harbaugh was injured his sophomore season I believe and had to sit out and asked Bo not to forget about him...so he probably knows exactly what Cade is feeling.  Cade also has many more options than college QB Harbaugh, given the portal, NIL, 5th and 6th years, etc.

Just please don't get so spiteful Cade and go to MSU with a chip on your shoulder.  That would be gross on so many levels, and scare the shit out of me.

I don’t feel sorry for the kid. He was a catalyst for last year BUT without Hassan Haskins this team woulda been in some trouble. IF IF it’s true he left because he didn’t win the job, shows all we need to know about being a leader. Easy to lead when things are going your way!

I want the best for him but his comments about not knowing why he had to compete with JJ after that first game and the postgame body language presaged current events. Remember Ronnie Bell on the sidelines in street clothes and on crutches after his injury which was season ending. We need a good backup but one guy won the job and even Brady had to wait his turn. Maybe this is just due to injury and not traveling but I don't recall seeing him since the injury nor have I heard rumors on what it is and length of healing  as we normally do.

He has an injury and a lot of times you don't travel with the team because of it. i don't think Wilson or All traveled either.

I believe, if needed, Andy Maddox could suit up as long as someone else takes the pads off. 70 dressed doesn’t have to be the same 70 I don’t think…I don’t know what the rule is for football but in baseball we brought guys out of the stands and dressed them and other guys changed and took their place in the stands. As long as 25 were on the bench we were good

What gives you the impression that "Ronnie Bell hobbling around our sidelines last year did nothing but lower morale?" His presence as an injured captain last season reminded me of Eric Mayes being an injured captain for the 1997 national championship team ,cheering the team while on crutches on the sideline that season.  Do you really think the players would re-elect Bell as a captain this year if all he lowered morale last year??

I certainly don't blame him. Extremely difficult year for him in all sorts of ways. Those idiot fans who booed him didn't help either. If he's headed to another spot I'll be rooting for him there too.
