12/18/2018 - 11:40am Good post.

Good post.

12/10/2018 - 7:46am I will absolutely go on…

I will absolutely go on record and say I was an 8-4 guy. The O-line looked like a trainwreck, and I didn't realize our D would be that good.

I'd call that a successful season, given the improvements, with one, brutal, regression.

12/04/2018 - 8:37pm So what you're telling me is…

So what you're telling me is Maryland just hired a better HC than OSU?

12/04/2018 - 8:35pm Yeah, this is basically…

Yeah, this is basically betting everything you have on red on the roulette wheel. Sure, it could come up red, 50-50, but if you do double your money that doesn't make you a genius.

12/04/2018 - 7:44pm Maybe this works out, given…

Maybe this works out, given what Meyer built over there, there's a lot of margin for error, but just handing Day the job was an insane move, he could easily be their Brady Hoke.

12/04/2018 - 5:27pm Um, Day beat a 2 win team,…

Um, Day beat a 2 win team, Rutgers, and the powerhouse of that schedule, a 6-6 TCU. I could have done that if I was named OSU's interim coach.

12/04/2018 - 5:02pm This is amazing. I always…

This is amazing. I always suspected OSU fans thought they could plug in anybody and continue with the incredible success that Urban brought them. They're putting an almost completely untested commodity at head coach. This has the potential to be a disaster for them.

11/26/2018 - 6:14pm Outside of the utter…

Outside of the utter absurdity of this scheme, and that we'd be the laughing stock of college football, some years you'd end up playing OSU twice.

11/26/2018 - 4:43pm I was really heartened to…

I was really heartened to see all the supportive positive responses, even in the wake of that OSU game. This is a good fan base (mostly).

11/25/2018 - 10:56pm I was at the game, so it was…

I was at the game, so it was harder to see what the problems were live than it would have been on TV, I'm tempted to rewatch it to try to figure out wtf happened, but I don't know if I can bring myself to do that.

Seemed like the D line got zero push, and that OSU wasn't doing an unusual amount of holding. Most of the secondary was getting beat all day, and the linebackers were... I dunno, present?

It feels like a mix between Don Brown not adapting to what they were doing for some reason, and the D just playing really poorly. I don't buy that this is some inherent athletic advantage, we compete against OSU every year, we just still lose, this year we get blown out as favorites, there's just not a lot of logical sense to how that game went.

11/25/2018 - 8:15am This is probably healthier…

This is probably healthier than my plan to personally blackmail Urban Meyer into quitting.

11/19/2018 - 3:51pm Let's say it is true, who…

Let's say it is true, who does OSU try to get? This seems like a weak year for coaches, but obviously a lot of guys who normally wouldn't be available would show up for the OSU job as Meyer has turned them into the country's second best program, imo.

Obviously I want the OSU version of Brady Hoke, but we aren't that lucky.

11/19/2018 - 3:46pm OK, I'll bite, if Michigan…

OK, I'll bite, if Michigan plays their normal game, they'll beat OSU by a couple TDs. If they play like they did against Indiana where the D regressed to overpursuit and the redzone offense sucked, they'll lose.

11/19/2018 - 1:46am That seems low to me. I…

That seems low to me. I guess looking lackluster against Indiana brought the line down. I kinda think we might do to them what we did to PSU.

11/19/2018 - 1:25am I don't really have an…

I don't really have an opinion on or care about Urban's health stuff, but if he is retiring after this season, that's just another reason we better win. No send off for Urban.

11/19/2018 - 1:16am Good for him man, hope he…

Good for him man, hope he engineers a turnaround.

11/18/2018 - 9:13am "Coach, are Indiana a bunch…

"Coach, are Indiana a bunch of dirty cheap shot artists?"

11/17/2018 - 10:35pm Well sometimes it's pretty…

Well sometimes it's pretty good, the flu shot last year was like 20% effective or something.

11/17/2018 - 10:16pm Well Bama was tied with The…

Well Bama was tied with The Citadel at the half.

11/17/2018 - 8:33pm As soon as OSU realized it…

As soon as OSU realized it had a dogfight we saw zero Martell.

11/10/2018 - 9:26am I don't want to make a new…

I don't want to make a new thread about this, but I found this borderline infuriating: https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/each-contenders-path-to-the-college-football-playoff/

538 claiming that Ohio State and Oklahoma (?!) control their own destiny, but Michigan does not.

11/09/2018 - 1:25pm I like it, I'd reserve that…

I like it, I'd reserve that other slot for a group of five team, and screw ND, they can join a conference.

11/09/2018 - 10:31am For me it's not about…

For me it's not about Rutgers itself, it's that Rutgers made zero sense as a Big Ten addition geographically, academically, or athletically. Some people, myself included, are just still salty they're in the Big Ten.

11/08/2018 - 1:10pm He's making a Star Trek…

He's making a Star Trek movie, which will obviously either be the best Star Trek movie ever, or an absolute train wreck.

11/08/2018 - 1:02pm Assuming we win out I really…

Assuming we win out I really would like to get NW again in the championship game, I think the NW game is a little bit of a question mark on our resume, and I'd like to put that one to bed.

11/08/2018 - 12:46pm If ND loses, I think we have…

If ND loses, I think we have a very strong case that we're the better team despite the head to head, but as long as they're undefeated they deserve to be ranked over us, and ND would be rightly miffed if they weren't.

11/03/2018 - 8:44pm Anybody else having a hard…

Anybody else having a hard time rooting for Bama even if it's clearly in our interest for them to win?

11/02/2018 - 1:36pm I've been lurking on PSU…

I've been lurking on PSU boards the past couple days, and I've seen several references to "referines."  PSU is just getting in the pre-complaining.

10/31/2018 - 1:42am The nightmare scenario for…

The nightmare scenario for the CFP is Clemson wins out, ND wins out, and LSU wins out, but that is just not very likely.

However, we definitely want OSU to lose. We can worry about the CFP if we actually manage to win out, for now it's been quite awhile since we won the Big Ten.

10/29/2018 - 11:15pm Yeah, I didn't totally agree…

Yeah, I didn't totally agree with the conclusion, but I enjoyed it.

10/29/2018 - 11:02pm I don't really buy that you…

I don't really buy that you beat Michigan with a big play vertical passing offense. 2nd and 10 turns into 3 and out pretty quickly against Michigan, and it's underselling the offense substantially to think you can constantly cede field position against Michigan and expect to win.

10/28/2018 - 7:19pm I feel like you can put at…

I feel like you can put at least 6 of those points down to Franklin being shocked/ totally unprepared when Michigan gives them a healthy dose of read-option.

10/28/2018 - 1:03pm Would they be the first…

Would they be the first power 5 team to lose all their non-conference games and win their division?

10/23/2018 - 8:44am A lot of people don't…

A lot of people don't understand what a hypothetical is. Anyway I'll be the odd guy out and say CFP. I want this Michigan team to win the NC and it might be good enough to do so.

10/23/2018 - 8:36am It's nice that MSU wants to…

It's nice that MSU wants to talk about this because they have nothing to say about actual football.

10/21/2018 - 8:21am If Michigan runs the table…

If Michigan runs the table it's in the playoffs. But this is still putting the cart before the horse.

10/21/2018 - 8:15am If the OSU team that showed…

If the OSU team that showed up for that Purdue game is the one that we play in Columbus, we need to beat them by 50.

09/29/2018 - 9:26pm Michigan loves to run a play…

Michigan loves to run a play that gets a 1 yard gain 15 times to setup the 25 yard gain when they decide to throw in the wrinkle.

Meanwhile the opposing coach is like "You got me good there, you can go ahead and take your 2.5 YPP average. Good job!"

Because it was a terrible game and Montana played terribly. There's only so much credit you can give to the Michigan defense.

03/16/2018 - 12:36am It's not like Montana even

It's not like Montana even played well is the distressing thing, Montana was pretty close to terrible tonight.

03/16/2018 - 12:06am Wagner ought to sit for the

Wagner ought to sit for the rest of the game, he's just a liability out there tonight.

03/15/2018 - 10:53pm This isn't really a case of

This isn't really a case of Montana looking that good, Michigan just looks lousy so far.

03/15/2018 - 10:51pm These refs aren't necessarily

These refs aren't necessarily out to get Michigan, but they'll whistle you for looking at a guy with bad intent.
