CJ to Gary Jr is a done deal
Wish I had more news, or could have drilled down further. However, during our basketball run this morning all AK would say is he gone.
Sounds like 2 commits at a min on the horizon. (As early as this week, likely next week)
Another topic of discussion was Mark Stein report that JH was in fact the Lakers top choice. Ham Slamwich should send coach a gift basket.
The staff will try to hold off Georgia for RW. They feel strongly that if he makes it on campus next weekend we are still holding on. However he is in Athens all weekend and they have made him a $priority$
Shoelace working hard on 5* WR out of FLL, sounds like we are out in front.
The outside is worried about recruiting this year, but IMO it looks like Clink and SM are sifting through their offers like Bama does. No BS, I see 4-8 four and five stars that WANT to be part of the next class.
I don't believe MW is giving up anytime soon on DM, and they also like their chances with the 5* who was on campus last week.
Goodwin kid coming too
920 days and counting
Cheers
For me, the '60s ended that day in 1978
I look forward to the translated post!
i like the updates.. particularly when there's a mix of good news in there.. but if he/you are right about 2/3rds, you look smart..
I don't really understand why we take low 3 stars but are "sifting through" 4 and 5 star offers? That doesn't make sense to me.
We are really slow this year to pick up guys. There is an article on rivals that says the kid that just visited could come to UM, but.. that's a ways out. I suppose if we lose out on moore and carr, and this kid comes, might be okay?
Appreciate the updates and the mysticism of the approach. TICSSO!
Pretty sure they get a bunch of silent commits and wait for the big recruiting weekends in June to have them commit. That's why every June we have a weekend where we get 1/3 of the overall class.
Come back to this in a couple weeks.
k, we rarely have 6 commits (1 wavering and 1 kicker) in June though.. so seems weird to play it all so slow.
Plus, my comment was on the "sifting through the players like bama" phrase... as if we're turning away 4 or 5 stars who want to be here... so unless i misread it, highly possible, my point still holds.
Good thing us, alabama, and texas a&M are 30, 31, and 32 in recruiting rankings and Northwestern is #4 in the country this recruiting cycle and texas tech is #2
AK is the director of recruiting Albert Karshina (spelled wrong whatever not fixing it)
I can't imagine we are out in front for a 5 star receiver. Jalen Brown seemed to me to be Miami bound but it would be a great surprise if he actually came here. Also could lock down Dante
Michigan hasn't done well with Jalen Brown's in the past. I hope we can reverse that trend!
(Boston's Jalen Brown picked CAL over Michigan)
Alright let’s try to decode:
Michigan Director of Recruiting operations Albert Karchnia has told GhostofJermaine that CJ Carr will commit to Notre Dame. He also suggested we’ll get some commitments soon (my speculation - Joseph Mupoyi or Daniel Harris or Jayvant Brown).
The Lakers really wanted Juwan Howard, but he stayed. No guess on who Ham Slamwich is.
Staff has to fend of Georgia and their enticements of cash to hold onto Raylen Wilson. He just visited Georgia but the staff thinks they can hold on if he comes to Ann Arbor to visit.
Denard Robinson is working to secure a commitment from 5* Jalen Brown, and Michigan could be in the front.
Fans are worried about recruiting but Sherrone Moore and Steve Clinkscale are doing their due diligence in scouting and offers. We’ll get some 4 and 5 stars in due time.
Matt Weiss is not giving up on Dante Moore, and Michigan likes their chances with 5* Jadyn Davis in the class of 2024. Jadyn Davis is from Charlotte, NC, and his teammate - 4* WR Channing Goodwin - will also come visit Michigan soon.
EDIT: GhostofJermaine says above that he wasn’t referring to Jalen Brown, but was referring to 5* WR Brandon Iniss from American Heritage in Fort Lauderdale. If that’s true that would be crazy since all indications are that Iniss is going to Bama or OSU.

Ham Slamwhich = Darvin Ham, coach of the lakers
Noted for his dunking ability during his career, which led to that nickname
I thought his nickname was "Dunkin' Darvin?"
Ham competed in the 1997 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, and was a member of the 2004 NBA champion Detroit Pistons. His powerful slams earned him the nickname "Dunkin Darvin" and "Ham Slamwich", as a fan favorite when playing for the Milwaukee Bucks, that carried on into the rest of his career.
A+ my man
Ham Slamwich is Darvin Ham, current Lakers HC.
Edit: Something funky happened and the above answers weren’t visible for me when I answered late. That, or I’m stupid. Either excuse is accurate.
I was in Richmond when he shattered the back board in a win against UNC. Dead silence then the place exploded!
Georgetown with AI was also there. It was a great first two rounds.

i'm sure i'm in the minority here, but these posts are so annoying. I see a potentially interesting headline, then i click into it and see author, and just roll my eyes.
They can be a chore to decode, but they're good info if accurate
I'm not knocking the OP but you're basically saying "yeah it's hard to understand but if his information is correct then it's a good post" is a remarkably low bar to pass.
I just wish the OP would use the names of the people involved; it's not insider-y to use initials and it makes figuring out what's actually being said a chore.
Yeah I was annoyed before but it's grown on me. It's become its own thing. He's obviously aware it gets a rise out of some posters and definitely isn't going to stop now. If he didn't know what he was talking about then his posts would be hated by everyone. However, he does sometimes throw in his own feelings and not surprisingly is generally optimistic about Michigan's chances.
Sure, but why make it so difficult? Because you're a dick?
Why make it annoying and more work to read if you can just type a few more letters and make it clear. I suppose it's just his "thing"
I love the posts! Using the initials is part of his charm and I love it!
It also helps mask search engine algorithms

oh really?
Right now it almost seems like we have to wait for ND to fill up at a position and then we can start recruiting that position.
almost?
Please stop with the initials.
Please stop with the please stop...

GFY.
Zero shot we get Inniss, I think Denard is wasting his time there
I wish him luck at ND (except when he plays UM), but I do think this was a funny attempt by Carr's mom to deflect from a clear fuck-up by her.
Like, what are the odds that someone hacked into your Twitter account to like exactly one negative tweet about UM and then didn't do anything else with it. Just own the fact you did something sorta dumb and got caught, and don't act like people pointing it out are the REAL villains.
One of many reasons that Social Media is bad for you.
Social media does have one bonus. Before you could suspect someone might be an idiot, now Twitter and FB make confirmation of their status easy.
What's the old saying? Better to be silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Not trying to be snarky here, but I'm just curious. Are the name initials necessary?
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the information you're providing, but I'm just curious what the reasoning is behind initialing the names instead of just writing them out. For some of us, the initials don't give us much headway into knowing who you're talking about unless its glaringly obvious.
They're your updates and you do with them as you see fit, but I don't think you're trading state secrets here.
Yes, it is necessary....this is inside info and doing so is appropriate...plus it adds to the allure...

Can we stop implying that programs are illicitly buying recruits?
It's the NIL era -- that stuff is LEGAL for the most part, and it's our own fault that we're not putting up the big bucks.
Pay these kids what they're worth to the program and many of them will come.
Any proof of that? Pay them what they're worth??? How would you, yourself weigh that? Opinions don't matter. Can you prove that? People are complaining about recruiting updates, albeit a very challenging one for those who absolutely don't like initials. And, people are also complaining about zero recruiting buzz. So, there's a common denominator here,"complaining!" Get it?
Whatever schools / boosters are willing to pay them is what they're worth.
Basic economics. You are only worth what someone is willing to pay you.
I didn't get that implication at all. I just got that GA would definitely pony up the cash to get him there and it was up to the recruit to pass on it.
It's all legal enough for now, but you know some of these other teams talk about the financial package included.
....as they should.
These kids are supposed to be making the best decision for their future. That process should take into account all factors, including how much money they'll make as an athlete regardless of whether they're able to make it to the next level.
In football especially, it's pretty much the NFL or bust, and the probability of injury is high. So if you're able to bank a few million before rolling the dice, that seems like a very wise decision.
Yes, a Michigan degree is very valuable, but if you are content to live in a place like Texas or Florida (which many obviously are), then you're going to be fine with a UT or UF degree.
Not only are you fine, but with the cash up front, given the types of degrees most of these guys get, they are probably better off not going to Michigan. Michigan is elite, and the alumni network is first rate, but being "elite" has it's own drawbacks.
The OP just said there were dollars involved in a recruitment; the implication that it's illicit is your interpretation.
