Chad Henne in for Mahohes

For those that don't know, Henne stepped in for Mahomes when he went down. Unexpected opportunity to watch a former Michigan QB play in the playoffs after Brady was eliminated.

Why would Weiss need to do that? What would it accomplish when the players were already gone? And course Cade tried to recruit his buddy, and there's nothing against the rules about that. Also: the young folks don't communicate via email, you know. And Cade would no longer have had access to his UM account once he left. It would have been closed.

@umich email accounts don’t get deleted if you graduate or stop enrolling.  There is a significant grace period, so Cade would definitely still have had access.  Much like coaches, players can’t tamper.  If Cade was negatively speaking about UM and trying to recruit current players before they entered the portal, that is certainly not allowed.  There is so much wrong with your post I just don’t feel like going through it all.

Was logging in to make the point about email remaining active months or even beyond a year after last enrollment/day worked at many schools but you were faster. Also, interesting point about the timing of communication between CM and EA. This does seem to be some needless cloak and dagger shit that ran afoul to FERPA.

Just because the email account remains valid for months, and not deleted, does not mean Cade would have had access.  It's standard procedure to disable login accounts after a person leaves an organization.  I don't know what Michigan's policies are around that, or if they even care if an ex-student continues to use it - they may not if there's no way to determine if a student could enroll again.  But it means nothing that the account wasn't deleted...

Being a backup QB in general is a good job. You can't just be a scrub off the street; good NFL backups have to be ready to step in and run the offense, and be good enough to win games if the starter goes down.

Of course, you're not good enough to get away with being lazy or a locker room problem. You basically have to accept that you're a backup and that your job is to be ready to be at your absolute best for a moment that may never arrive.

But if you can do that (and Henne is a guy who can do that) it's a great job you can hold for many years.

Those dudes made a shit ton of money and didn't have to get the snot beat out them.  Throw Charlie Batch in there too.  If you can get a gig like that, being a backup QB in the NFL is one of the greatest jobs in the world.  All of three of these guys though have had to come in on occasion and win some football games.

Will never forget watching Henne absolutely abuse Urban and Heisman winner Tebow in the 2008 Capital One Bowl. All time performance. One of the best games I've attended.
