|12/06/2018 - 9:25am||See I disagree with the…||
See I disagree with the statement "most are flipping burgers for minimum wage and no benefits". That simply isn't true. I work in a car dealership where more than three quarters of the people I work with didn't go to college and they make anywhere from 40k/yr to 120k/yr (most of them at the middle and upper end of that spectrum) and this isn't the first place I've worked where that is the case. My cousin works as a manager in an Outback Steakhouse and makes over 100k/yr. She went to college but admits her degree was not necessary for her job, also that she didn't have to go at all to be where she is today. Also, none of her assistant managers went to college.
There are plenty of jobs out there that do not require a higher education. Good-paying jobs. Jobs with benefits. "Flipping burgers" is not the only thing someone without a college education can aspire to.
You don't need a college degree to be financially successful, you just need to be cognitively capable, possess a good work ethic, and have a decent head on your shoulders.

"While *they're at it, they could add Eric Roberts as an assistant coach."
Sorry but I always feel the need to point out incorrect uses of there, their, and they're. Those are three of the trickiest words in the English language.

I really wish that whoever negged me would explain why they did so. This is a topic that I've been thinking about a lot lately and I've come to this conclusion. If I'm wrong I'd like to know what I'm missing. Help me to understand your point of view.
|12/05/2018 - 12:18am||I do but only to people who…||
I do but only to people who are being rude to me or when I'm being passive aggressive. I guess it's an ironic way of using it?

Is it possible to be an insufferable asshole about insufferable assholes? Not saying that you're being one. You're expertly riding that edge sir! Kudos.
|12/04/2018 - 10:52pm||True but in the future I…||
True but in the future I expect that to decrease as the cost of tuition continues to rise each year coupled with the institutions not doing much to improve their product.
Also the value of a college degree isn't as important as students are made to believe in high school. Obviously there are many professions that require it but there are many more that don't. On top of that I know many people who went to college for one thing, got their degree in said subject, but now work in a field that has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with what they studied.
|12/02/2018 - 6:18pm||Ok I understand he wants to…||
Ok I understand he wants to move on and get more playing time so he can have a bright future in the NFL but is this the best option? Does he really think playing for a team like that will get him to the NFL?
|11/25/2018 - 6:51pm||This. A thousand times,…||
This. A thousand times, this. I get wanting to stick with your guy that got you there but he was obviously over-matched and couldn't keep up with the speed of OSU's receivers. Ambry would have been able to do that.
|11/25/2018 - 6:43pm||Usually I'm not one for…||
Usually I'm not one for being emotional and irrational but what you say doesn't make this feel any less horrific. Not just a loss to OSU but THAT.... I didn't expect that.
Also, don't you think it speaks to the direction of the program that 10-2 and a loss to the most important opponent on the schedule is an "expected" outcome nowadays? Before the people with pitchforks come out and start agreeing with me I want to make it clear that I still want Jim Harbaugh to be our head coach but it is VERY clear that changes must be made offensively. Having a clearly specified offensive coordinator can be one of those changes. I'm tired of seeing us burn timeouts because they couldn't get the play call in to Shea in time. Klatt was right on the money during the game when he called that out and I'm glad he did. That is 100% unacceptable. Timeouts are too precious to be wasted. Having one guy calling the plays instead of 2 or 3 guys with different opinions trying to make a decision would be extremely preferable.
Maybe our offense wouldn't move at a snails pace too.
|11/24/2018 - 9:00pm||Your reading comprehension…||
Your reading comprehension skills don't seem very high. What did I just say? EVEN ALABAMA. THEY'RE REALLY GOOD AT FINDING GREAT 3 STARS. Jesus Christ...
|11/24/2018 - 8:13pm||Recruiting rankings do…||
Recruiting rankings do matter but only so far as they give us an idea as to what we MIGHT be able to expect from them down the road. They are not ironclad. To suggest otherwise is foolish.
When considering offensive line recruiting, one only needs to look across the pond at Wisconsin to find proof that stars don't matter as much when it comes to the offensive line. They regularly turn 3 and 4 star recruits into high draft picks and always have at least a solid offensive line every year. Are 5 star offensive lineman more reliably good? Sure. Does that mean we should ONLY recruit them? Hell no. There are plenty of other great offensive lines around the country that don't have a single 5 star lineman. Don't forget our two best lineman in recent memory were low-rated 4 stars as well (Taylor Lewan, Jake Long).
To summarize, stars matter but everyone needs to find diamonds in the rough when it comes to recruiting. Even Alabama. They're good enough at it that it is one of the many reasons why they're a contender every year.
|11/24/2018 - 3:50pm||I know that Shea is not the…||
I know that Shea is not the reason why Michigan lost this game but I think there is going to be another QB competition next year. And I think Dylan McCaffrey wins it.
|11/21/2018 - 1:44pm||This feels very true but a…||
This feels very true but a player that I've always had a bit of concern for on our squad is Lavert Hill. The way that Coach Zordich has talked about him in the past suggests to me that he isn't always 100 percent committed. He had to get him motivated to improve 2 years ago (literally saying to the media that Lavert can be "as good as he wants to be" implying that he didn't have the drive to get better) and said some of the same things about Lavert again this off-season. When you couple that with some of his (in my opinion) lackadaisical play (the first quarter against Notre Dame comes to mind when he was repeatedly beaten by the receivers) he just gives me this uneasy feeling when I watch him. This is why I've always had more respect for David Long as a player and I totally understand why some draftnicks have rated Long better than Hill.
Of course the obvious caveat is I've never met the guy and this is all speculation but I just don't trust Lavert Hill to "bring it" when it matters most.
|11/21/2018 - 12:56pm||I think the worst part about…||
I think the worst part about Haskins is not his lack of running ability but the guy is really bad at scrambling and buying time. Shea is one of the best in the country at that and this leads me to believe that given the choice Harbaugh would stick with Shea. The OL, while much improved, will give up some pressure and we need a guy like Shea who can move and doesn't panic when the pocket breaks down.
|11/21/2018 - 12:52pm||Our secondary is weakest…||
Our secondary is weakest against slants and if they're short slants with quick throws then our D-Line won't have enough time to get to Haskins. Short throws are OSU's bread and butter. Haskins is going to throw a lot and complete a lot of these, the question is can our secondary be fundamentally sound and tackle well enough after the completion to avoid disastrous run-after-catch situations.
The statistics say yes (I think Michigan is the fifth best in the nation at tackling immediately after the catch) but OSU receivers are really really good at breaking tackles. Toughest test our secondary has faced all year. It will be interesting to watch.

I separated my shoulder in a scrimmage the week before our first game in high school. I still played in the first game. The pain is annoying but it can be managed, especially if he gets something to treat it during the game. The biggest thing is how confident would he be in using his shoulder.

Better make it the kind they use on big mammals like Elephants or something. That's what it would take.
|11/20/2018 - 9:46pm||I was thinking about this…||
I was thinking about this earlier today. I thought if it truly is something more pain related that he can play through then my money would be on him playing and playing with minimal limitation.
If it is bruised ribs or something of that nature then I have a hard time believing he won't play. Chase is a warrior and lives for games like these, especially considering it will be his last chance to play OSU.
|11/20/2018 - 7:49pm||Even if they do, there is an…||
Even if they do, there is an argument to be made that Bama's schedule is so weak that they won't get in with one loss should everything else stay as it is.

Not going, probably too rude to put on a sign and would never get shown on TV.

Ok but who will score 42?

Is it just me or is Jordan Poole playing too passively? This is a great team but if he can get more involved in the offense this team is a Championship contender.
Not trying to take away from the big win, its just something on my mind.
|11/14/2018 - 1:40pm||No Hudson or Gentry? Gentry…||
No Hudson or Gentry? Gentry I kind of understand because his stats are not what we thought they would be heading into the season, but Hudson is a bit of a surprise. Maybe the NFL just doesn't know what to do with hybrid space players like him? Jabrill's near complete disappearance Cleveland is evidence of that to me. I figured he'd be the next Troy Polamalu, playing closer to the line and blowing up plays at a decent clip.
|11/14/2018 - 1:26pm||Eric Gray is visiting? …||
Eric Gray is visiting? Excellent news! Very important to get him on campus for a game before the season ends. Makes me feel a lot better about our chances of keeping him in the class.

I don't know man. They're already ranked again after beating a below average Maryland team at home. The college football world has this weird fascination with MSU that I just don't understand.
|11/05/2018 - 10:15pm||I've been looking at all the…||
I've been looking at all the top ranked teams and their schedules for a couple of weeks now and I'm itching to tell someone my opinions that are sure to go wrong so here it goes!
Most likely losses left on each team's schedule, ordered by rank in the AP poll:
Alabama - Georgia in the SEC championship game (these two have already won their divisions so it is guaranteed that they will play each other). Alabama likely stays undefeated.
Clemson - This week @Boston College. The weakest schedule in the country continues to look worse with each passing week. Their saving grace is that they blow every team out by 50. BC is dangerous though.
Notre Dame - Tough for me to choose between Syracuse and @USC but I'll give the nod to USC, mostly because it is an away game. Still very likely they go unbeaten.
Georgia - Could lose this week to Auburn but my money is on their next loss being to Alabama in the SEC championship. This would knock them out of the discussion (2nd loss).
Oklahoma - Last week of the regular season @West Virginia. As stated before, I think WVU has a real shot at beating Oklahoma. Would put me at ease if WVU loses a game before they get the chance.
West Virginia - Again, last week vs Oklahoma but watch out for @OK State the week before. That is the next most likely loss.
Ohio State - Obvious.
Washington State - OP thinks these guys aren't in the conversation but they only have one loss. Best chance for another is either @Colorado this week or home against Washington last week of the season. Gun to my head, I'm picking Colorado this week.
UCF - Unbeaten but a very wobbly unbeaten that probably won't make it in even if they win out at this point. Best chance is @USF the last week of the season unless the AAC gets a title game. If that is the case, then I would pick Houston over UCF in that game.
Regardless of how any of these games play out, I still believe Michigan has great odds of making it into the playoff. It's nice to be able to say that and feel confident about it.
|11/05/2018 - 9:47pm||West Virginia is VERY…||
West Virginia is VERY capable of beating Oklahoma. Both offenses are very strong but WVU has the better defense. I'm willing to bet that they can get the required number of stops (even if it is only 1 or 2) to slow down Oklahoma's offense enough for their own offense to grab the lead and hold onto it.
Knowing this, it is very important for WVU to lose one more game before that happens. Michigan is likely to make the playoff even if the above scenario comes to fruition but I prefer the outcome that gives Michigan the least amount of doubt heading into bowl season.
|11/03/2018 - 9:36pm||This. One million times,…||
This. One million times, this.
After living in Michigan for quite some time and never experiencing the greatness that is a Chick-fil-A sandwich until I moved to Florida six years ago, I agree completely. Not just about the sandwiches but the service. As a fast food joint, you just don't expect that level of hospitality. It's better than a lot of actual restaurants that have wait-staff and most of them are high school kids! Inconceivable!
|10/31/2018 - 1:02am||What do you mean, "or how to…||
What do you mean, "or how to get benched"? All I heard was how Don Brown and the rest of the defense have had this game on their minds for a long time and how they all want to make a statement on Saturday. I didn't hear anything about getting benched or benching. Very weird title that makes me think you don't like Josh Metellus and you personally want to see him benched, to which I say for whom? He's the best at his position on the roster by some distance. The in-game reps we've seen from the other safeties are proof of that.
|10/21/2018 - 1:31am||No they aren't but some…||
No they aren't but some early Hello posts (one's that have insider info or give evidence to suggest that a recruit is either silently committed or going to commit soon) have question marks on them. Your title is identical the titles of those posts in the past, therefore misleading the thousands of people that read this site on a daily basis and making them all feel a bit peeved.
|10/21/2018 - 1:29am||While I disagree that Hello…||
While I disagree that Hello posts are big deals (really every post is not a big deal) your title is extremely misleading and makes it sound like you have insider information on a very highly sought recruit that we would all LOVE to have in the class. Surely you can understand the disappointment that the rest of us feel after reading your post and finding that its only your opinion and a VERY uninteresting opinion at that.
In summary, think before you post and no one cares about an uninformed opinion (especially one with a misleading title).
|10/21/2018 - 1:23am||Echoing the other comments…||
Echoing the other comments in this thread... very poor choice of title for this post. Very, very, VERY poor choice. Very misleading. I saw that title and thought you had some inside info on Harrison and I come here to find that it is just a pointless opinion... such a let down.
|10/20/2018 - 11:55pm||You're right except for one…||
You're right except for one thing. MSU plays OSU at HOME in 3 weeks time (in East Lansing).
Personally I don't care who wins that game. Michigan controls it's own destiny with regard to the Big Ten East and mostly does with it's chances of making the Playoff. Win out and everything will fall into place. Winning the Big Ten East is not on my Christmas list this year. lol
|10/17/2018 - 1:31pm||If I was to bet money on…||
If I was to bet money on which game we see Tarik play next, it would be Penn State after the bye week. Nico makes it sound like there is a chance he comes back this week but l'm sticking with UMBig11's comment on 247 a few weeks ago (early november).

|09/23/2018 - 4:43am||Overall I do agree with you…||
Overall I do agree with you. It was funny at first but the joke has run it's course. Rutgers isn't going anywhere and we (as much as any of us may want them kicked out) need to come to terms with that. All we can do is hope they can find some way to improve in athletics without using underhanded tactics or turning to corruption to solve their problems on the field. For now what we can be proud of is that they are a pretty good academic institution that does reside in a recent recruiting hotbed for Michigan. It's not much to be happy about but it matters.
After agreeing with you, I feel I must point out that their reputation isn't exactly stellar. They've had problems with a coach abusing players recently and an athletic director that didn't seem to care. Additionally, allowing players to play after failing drug tests, players playing while academically ineligible, multiple recruiting violations, and all while being completely inept on the football field is pretty dang embarrassing. I mean how bad do you have to be to cheat and yet still can't win a stinkin' football game?
None of these issues, while egregious in their own right, are as bad as what we've seen recently. In summary, while Rutgers is an embarrassment athletically, at least its just that.

There is no reason to watch the video for this podcast OTHER than the hot blonde in the black floral dress that shows up at about the 57:38 mark. Guys, if you're going to put up a video, why not make it a worthwhile video to watch? Stop being shy! lol

Only a single post today and it's not even a fully informative one? Just an announcement that a player committed?? Guys. Come on. Whats going on here? Health problems still? There has to be SOMETHING one of you can write about.
I'm sorry for complaining but also not sorry because this site needs more articles per day. Maybe hire some more writers? I don't know man I'm trying to offer solutions instead of just complaining... and this comment is way too long. lol

|07/24/2018 - 2:11pm||A couple of things:
A couple of things:
First, to add more evidence to the pile that proves Mineral King is Shea Patterson, all of his "insider info" relates to the offense. Not much but it makes sense that Shea would have a much better understanding (and affinity) for the offense.
Second, while he says that James Hudson will be a starter, he didn't specify what position. Could be left or right tackle at this point.
If all of this is true I'm even more excited for the season to start than I was before. It's gonna be a great season in Ann Arbor!
