OT: Favorite/Least Favorite Ad Campaigns
That better be your water you're drinking!
And the LeBron James/Dwight Howard Reboot was also great:
Idk if it's just the vid, but Larry Bird dribbles HARD.
I live near Geico HQ and have been in it sevreal times for some tech work.
Very boring company in a boring industry.
So it is amazing to me that they have had so many successful memorable ad campaings over the years . . . The gecko, the cavemen, the "surprising" ala Marco Polo, "It's what you do", and so on.
Sometimes they are running multiple of these ad campaigns at the same time.
Most companies never even have one noteworthy ad campaign. Geico has so many they compete with themselves.
Mountain Dew's "Puppy Monkey Baby" ad from a few years ago. "Bizarre" and "grotesque" would be two of the words I'd use to describe it. The other words aren't printable.
Also the Hungry Howie's ad team commercials, with the fat, annoying jackass. Proof that stupid does not equal funny.
I love puppymonkeybaby. Mostly because it gives my wife the creeps. So naturally I dance through the house singing it.
"Sometimes momma wants to drive like a mother."
I love how she just casually slips that line in there in an ad for truck rentals.
All Night Long is a song I grew up listening to as my mom is a big Lionel fan. Seeing the grin it brought to her face during the Super Bowl makes me happy and the commercials themselves are pretty funny.
Another couple that come to mind: Terry Tate: Office Linebacker, Volkswagen's UnPimp Your Ride, and it was a one off, but Tracy Morgan for Beats By Dre during Christmas 2015 still makes me laugh
There are a lot of ad campaigns that were overdone to the point of being annoying, but one of the campaigns that drove me up the wall was the Mentos commercials of the 1990s / early 2000s. Actually, I found a spoof of it some years ago that helped cleanse my mind of these commercials.....
The Freshmaker!
The Red Stripe ads from the early days of PTI from like 2003-2005. The Ambassador was and still is the GOAT
HOORAY BEER! says the beautiful man.
for any company from Columbus ohio is the worst
Beyond the shirts, this ad has the absolute WORST kissing noises. EVER.
I've never been able to watch it again because of that too. So gross.
but I hate being treated like I'm a moron by food packaging and it's gotten so stupidly out of hand that I get irritated at grocery stores on the regular. If you know even a little science it's worse because most of the advertisements intentionally mislead people into thinking good things are bad and the demand causes some crappy environmental results just to scam money off of people.
me want to stick flaming scarecrow dicks in my ears...
Miller beer 1 second SB commercial...best ever
Little Penny Anferne hardaway
Real American heroes bud light
KFC boneless wings
Lebron family sprite
Two very unattractive people picking skin lesions off each other and eating them.
This one kills me every time.
The Budweiser frogs, so successful and being accused of targeting toward children, Budweiser was pressured to pull the ads
Are they still featuring "concerned woman" and "wise grandpa?"
I wouldn't get caught dead in one, but loved the commercials.

Superbowl 2000 spot for e-trade "Money Out The Wazoo." Check it out on Youtube.
I love the Clydesdales. The frogs can never replace them.
