Les Miles on Campus Yesterday
Les Miles was visiting assistant RB coach Alfonso Smith yesterday. Picture on twitter:

Was he in town for the Lloyd Carr Roast/Chad Tough Charity? Or just to visit?
One can only hope he's being added to the team as an assistant in the running game, to work with Ed Warriner. Would be nice to see him working in the Oklahoma drills:

But he's probably just on campus to visit.
Billy Johnson would like a word with you, young man.
Geez, it has been a few years. Right there with Elmo Wright
Because otherwise we look old. I shave mine, but that's more due to baldness. When I lapse I start looking old real fast.
If you have the (young-looking) skin for it, I think dye jobs are OK. If everyone can tell, though (as is the case with Les), I think it's worse than grey/white.
Myself? I prefer to let nature take its course. (Yes, avatar checks out.)
I occasionally hit the beard with the Just For Men blend away the grey. Always seems like a shocker when I do it, but then I look at older pics & can't believe how dark it was even 5 years ago.
I used to work with a guy who wouldn't try the blend thing & would go from santa to a dark black beard. It would be shocking. And you never knew whether to mention it.
I dye my hair- Nutrisse #40, which matches my normal hair color exactly, to cover the "whitewalls." Fortunately I have "Mediterranean" skin tone so I can still get away with it. I may stop when I retire, which will be....SOON.
I colored my hair prior to a family vacation just to make my older brother look much older than me. My younger brother noted that in one family picture I am standing on my toes during the group photo.
You are so right. Everyone knows.
I don't like it when guys dye their hair. Too vain. Men are lucky -- gray hair doesn't suddenly make them matronly and unattractive. A lot of times, it makes them sexier. The success of a shaved head depends on your head shape. Michael Jordan: yes. Prince William: not so much.
You won't get an argument from me. Bald is way better.
Really, who's he kidding with that paint job?
"I'm not just the president; I'm also a client."
Even worse than a "guy who dyes his hair" are the "guys" who bitch about it. UMFan21 and anyone else who fist-bumped him on the "eew, he dyed his hair" comment should turn their ManCard in on the way out of here.
Who in the F-ck cares what another man does re: the color of his hair? Honestly, I wouldn't even have noticed and still don't (I guess). It looks like brown hair. Do you guys also whine about women who don't get the correct "shade" of nail polish for their outfits and cluck your tongues when someone wears white in the fall?
Pretty stong contintent around these parts....
I mean, go ahead and dye your hair, that's cool, but at least try something that looks convincingly normal. Especially if you have enough money to look better than an off-the-shelf box of poop brown Just For Men.
He looks freaking ridiculous. It was the very first thing I noticed and not in a flattering way. If he was a friend of mine, I would tell him the same thing.
Lots of commenters go off on these useless tagents you talk about. I thought this blog is supposed to have lots of insider stuff. Some people talk about it like it does. But there's SO MUCH of these useless tangents about hair color, clothes, Uncle Rico, etc. and how about those commneters that make something out of typos. Yeah, there's a little bit of insider stuff. But you have to go through about 75% of useless commentig to find it. You can pretty much anticipate what is going to be said in the comment threads. And sure enough, it's what you see.
Then some commenters here wonder wht not many commenters stay very long here, and it's just a small group of regulars that comment.
MGoBlog is life.
Lighten up. It's the internet.
Another unfortunate development around here over the past couple of years is the ever-increasing number of trolls who post.
Then there's Gene Keady - bad dye job AND the combover.
Miz......
His hair color is so weird.
That's the biggest problem with it. A touch of gray would be more realistic.
Also, if you have a mojor receding hairline like Les, it looks awkward to have dark hair with it. You would expect a little gray.
"One can only hope he's being added to the team as an assistant in the running game to work with Ed Warriner. "
Uh...no thanks.
What if Don Brown is in line for that?
He's not, and the person you're replying to is joking. Our next head coach, in fifteen years, is so far away that nobody is "in line".
Having a rough morning?
Smile. Things will get better. :-)
I could see Harbaugh coaching into his mid 70s at Michigan. I bet he has all 10 of fingers filled with national championship rings by then.
It is good to see that you can tell when someone is joking around...
No. No you can't.
Or, just to replace Jay Harbaugh on the field and have him moved to an off the field job?
Smith is also listed as being 6'-1".
I think Les is shrinking in his old age.
