OSU fans on our title game run
Some are salty, some a bit more reasonable, but most are quite unhappy that we are playing in the title game:

Risk management. It's what men do to prepare for their families.
when you could have said "urinating-ants."
It's not a hard lesson to comprehend....you win and you play again.....you don't chosse your opponents.
Don't know if I break that down any simpler......not sorry that they didn't get the memo and kept winning to keep going.....
Yes, let's focus on what that fanbase thinks....
Until Harbaugh has Michigan playing in the national championship game. Those Buckeyes will really freak out then.
I think my favorite part is Fan A spelling torture, torcher. GG OSU.
I work with a State fan who *will not* let go of the Houston game. "Yep, thanks a lot for the greatest choke in history, Houston." Dude, seriously? A game in which both teams' largest lead was six points and there were, I don't know, probably close to 20 lead changes? What the hell was your win over Purdue that you wouldn't shut the fuck up about, then?
lol, sorry couldn't keep a straight face. OSU football team might all have impregnated some girl in an orgy and MSU is just a horrible institution. agree w/ all the folks that don't care about our envious rivals' opinions.
So, tosu fans are rooting against UM ...
And this matters why?
Yawn, bitter fanbases gonna bitter
Last night there was a strong bunch of "Loyola" fans at BW3. The week before they were Florida State fans and before that Houston, etc. I understand hating the rival but I would never go to a bar to openly cheer for MSU's opponents. They aren't just happy when the other team does well against Michigan. They hoot, yell, and clap on even small plays. It's psychotic.
Nailed it, dude. They at least tried to spell it phonetically, but apparently “torture” hasn’t showed up on his “Word of the Day” toilet paper yet.
to realize you're dealing with some of the dumbest fuckers in the world and it's not difficult to let it be. Picking on one entire side of the bracket as if the only teams in it were MI and the teams we played. Never mind both sides started with 32 and let the last team standing play off against the winner of the other bracket. Their attempted rationlization of the conference as a whole was ever worse. M is probably the fourth best team, yet won the fucking tourney and is is the NC and this proves nothing? Really laughing although shaking my head just as hard when explaining about why they didn't win it when they had a chance. I thought most of the bull shit I read on here was just that in regard to the intelligence of the OSU fan. Then I read this. Damn. That's a lot of OT for the folks. They could have spent it on something worthwhile.
To a person, they have been supportive of our run and great to talk to about the tournament. A couple have been texting me during games and full-on rooting for us.
There are undesireables in every fan base. It'd be great if we could show the same interpersonal respect that the players clearly do.
Not really surprising. This isn't football. Sure, plenty of OSU fans are pathological but most are just people who went to a school, or whose parents were a fan of said school's teams so that's how they ended up too. It's Michigan State fans who have reacted to this like...well, like Michigan State fans.
Even if you go to Reddit, there are quite a bit of OSU flair guys supporting Michigan.
It has to grate on all of Michigan's enemies to see at an athletic program operate at a higher ethical level than them and still succeed. They all lament how Michigan fan will be "insufferable" should be win tonight; while I think OSU and MSU fans are insufferable because they celebrate their own successes while turning a blind eye to all the ethical compromises they've made to achieve that success.
I suspect most of the country wants Michigan to lose. We're just one of those fanbases. Oh well, makes it more enjoyable if they win. If they don't, we'll take our lumps and life goes on.
I'm 100% pulling for Michigan tonight. Firstly, I genuinely like to see the Big Ten do well in these kinds of situations. Secondly, I have enjoyed the hell out of this Michigan team - no lottery picks but they play together so well as a team, defend like crazy, rebound the ball, and hustle constantly. Just really enjoy watching them play together. Gonna miss watching Mo and MAAR next year for sure.
As always, no fan base should judge another fan base based on a vocal minority. But I would also say that the OSU-Michigan rivalry feels toxic on all sides sometimes and I wish we could first see ourselves as a larger fraternity of people who enjoy sports and appreciate the game, and secondly as a friendly rivalry that never rises to the level of anger, rancor, and name-calling. Both sides are guilty of this, unfortunately.
Yeah, it's too bad it gets like that at times. Never something I'll consider fun but apparently some people do. The Michigan-Ohio State rivalry may not always be one of mutual respect but at least it's not Michigan-MSU. Win or lose against Michigan, OSU fans go home proud of their team and happy that they've chosen it. Michigan State fans, on the other hand, can't handle seeing Michigan fans enjoy something without taking it as some kind of personal slight. It's truly bizarre.
I hope it was neither an alum or student of OSU that wrote it would be "torcher" to see UM win the title. What are the odds? Maybe this person spells everything phonetically. Or maybe this person is just a typical OSU fan.
As a more recent U-M fan (5 years) I have developed the proper hatred for State and OSU. I definitely would NOT be rooting for either of them tonight, and I don't expect any of their fans to root for us. And to me that is OK.
I am a New Yorker and I have been a Yankee fan for close to 50 years. So I get the pretty much universal hatred that others have for the Yanks, and for Michigan. Twice in my life I have seen some of that automatic Yankee hatred dissapate. Once in 1996, and again last season. Both of those teams were not the usual Yankee teams, they were underdogs. And good fans of other teams appreciated it. Just like I think there are good fans out there who appreciate our Michigan team and most of all John Beilein. It's very hard to hate on Beilein. If there is any reason Buckeye fans are on board this time around, it's him. Nice to see, actually.
Go Blue!
