I like his style.

Reminds me of Charles Woodson after those disappointing 4 loss seasons.

“Every year they locked the team in the team meeting room and we’re in charge with coming up with goals for the season. In ’95 and ’96, it’s win the Big Ten championship or win the red-letter games. In ’97 we’re going along the same path, this and that. We’re in there for an hour, and finally Charles stands up, ‘How about we just win.’ Everybody shuts up and looks at each other and we’re like, ‘Yeah, that works.’

I'm all good with bringing a little sizzle, Tarik. You'd just better bring the steak along with it.

This program has been all talk with almost no results to show for it for the better part of a decade. Hope he's able to help put an end to that nonsense.

A tweet of an instragram post from a fanpage who took a screenshot of Tarik Blacks snapchat. Hardly a public proclaimation.

And by 2019 does he mean the 2019 season (his Junior Year?) or in January 2019? Either way would be nice!

We honestly have a chance ... PSU won’t be as good, OSU loses Barrett (I’m not sure how good his offense will be without the threat of a mobile QB) MSU we should beat them unless some freak plays happen again.. ND loses a lot .. I can see us being in contention

Did you watch Haskins play at all when he stepped in for Barrett? He came off the bench and picked our defense apart, scoring points on 3 of 4 drives.

I don't really know how good of an athlete Haskins is. I assume if Meyer recruited him to play QB then he can, at the bare minimum, move enough to keep defenses honest. But couple that  athleticism with a guy who can actually throw the ball, and also looks like he can make NFL throws, and I don't know why exactly you feel more confident against him than you did against Barrett. Couple that with the game being in Columbus, a place where we haven't won in almost 20 years. Longer than most recruits have even alive.

Barrett may have been a great athlete, but a great passer, he was not. Haskins looks every bit the part thus far, and that's a terrifying thought for any opposing defense.

That kid played like a Man out there last year before his injury and was clearly the best receiver by far. Can't wait to see him lead the team next year. We need more guys with his confidence to take charge this coming season!

This just sets us up for failure and that ass-bag Dantonio to say something about Michigan selling hope . Lets at least get to the big ten title game before we think about national titles .

don't pile on Black for this one. He snap chatted the text out at the end of the National Championship game. A fan screen shotted it and posted it to instagram with a picture of him next to it. A different fan screen shotted the instagram post and posted it to twitter.

This OP made the mistake of even thinking this topic is threadworthy, let alone news.

Our players should have the confidence that they can win it all. If not, why even play? And this was far from a public declaration, or even a comment to the media. Please do not treat it as such.

That proves my point even more (about National Title contender, not nec division title). 8-5 in our tougher division COULD mean we’re even closer to a contender than Georgia 2016. And don’t say “we’ll we have to win the division to be a tire contender,” because, uh, Bama.

I think we would've gone 10-2 at worst in the regular season.  He was already a polished enough WR to be a matchup nightmare.  His ability to stretch the field and run many routes on the route tree would have opened up the secondary for DPJ, Perry and the TEs.

Speight had accuracy issues, but he could read a defense very well.  Looking at our schedule, PSU is still the only game I see as a probably L.  I think the other L's were tossups at worst.

I think people forget how well we moved the ball until Black got hurt.  Then the issue before Speight was injured was that we could move the ball but were bad in the redzone.  If we can get solid play at LT and QB, I love our chances next season.

Remember young man. Got to beat some really tough teams. Osu, Msu Psu and nd. I hope so but gut feelings is 2 non wins.

Herbert = stronger, more physical OL

Enos = integrated run / pass pro-style game plan + show WRs how to get it done

Shea = game-changing QB play

TBD = Hart to RB coach, Drevno to OL coach, Jay to TEs, Pep to the NFL

Maybe Black is confident as a result of 2018 workouts with Shea and conditioning sessions with Herbert?  Changes are happening, all targeted to improve the 2017 weaknesses.

Go Blue !!!
