is a problem that tends to work itself out. Having too few doesn't as well.

if Patterson comes, Speight probably will be given a firm handshake, a thank you for his career dedicated towards Michigan football, and the "option" to transfer.

I just don't see that firm handshake coming. It's hard to replace that knowledge of the offense. He's extremely valuable, even as a backup.

because they hired his brother. The same reason he committed to Arizona: because they hired his brother. Ole Miss threw a bigger bag at his brother, and therefore a bigger bag at Patterson. Just because Patterson didn't "need" the money doesn't mean he didn't want it. My family was well off while I was in college, but I still got a job so I didn't have to ask for anything.

Obligatory:

If Patterson chose Ole Miss because he wanted immediate playing time and no competition, then why would he come to Michigan where there would be at least two and very possibly three other scholarship QBs on the roster? If he thinks he's just going to show up and Harbaugh will anoint him the starter he's mistaken.

If he tore his PCL, he probably would not be physically ready in time for spring practice. So there goes any reps in an offense he's never run prior to fall camp.
At best he is a backup next year.

is the key. I also heard that a certain Rivals anaylst said that Peters is a huge recruiting miss, so I'm sticking with the counterstrike guy at this point.

Could Harbaugh be a fit at A&M?

So...is Michigan going to have to offer Harbaugh an afterlife contract to squash this rumor?

we should hire Rich Rodriquez then?

But I will gladly take Khalil Tate as a QB here.
November 21st, 2017 at 10:09 PM ^
To run the Harbaughffense? That's as dumb an idea as having Robinson and Gardner run a pro style offense! I mean, Tate is a helluva QB in Rich Rod's system, but he won't work running Harbaugh's offense.

A. Yes Alabama was my thought process, get a guy who can gun it but can also run when the play breaks down
B. Whatever Arizona is running is working a damn sight better than the Harbaughffense has this year. Running Play Action on 3rd and Long is one of the stupidest things I have witnessed in my 20 years watching college football.
