They said Michigan looked great yesterday--defense was especially impressive even with only one returning starter (but acknowledged that a lot of the players had significant minutes last year). Mentioned how fast they were.

Then pivoted to talk about the most impressive-looking team yesterday: Howard.

I can't figure out why.  They have a lot of things going for them -- location, local talent, women. But they can never seem to get good.  They flirt with good some years, but they can't sustain it.

No, I don't like the fact that he thinks it's hard going to school and playing football at the same time, and he complains about it being like having two full-time jobs, when there are thousands of single parents out there busting their asses in two jobs making minimum wage to support several kids. He has no idea how charmed a life he lives compared to just about everyone else on this planet.

I don't fault Rosen for speaking his mind. But I have the right to my own opinion as well. He'll come out of UCLA with a great education and will likely go in the first round of next year's draft, and he won't owe a DIME to anyone. I'd love for him to look aforementioned single parent in the eye and tell them how hard he thinks his life is.

It's a debacle. And it certainly isn't his fault. Seems like there's no coach and no plan. He was out injured most of last season, recovered, and probably isn't going to make it out of this game with any limbs still attached.

I'm glad I clicked on this thread to find out there's a reason to watch the other game.

I find I'm really torn on that game.  Always want ND to lose, but I also think Georgia deserves a decade of terrible coaches for getting rid of RIcht.  Plus, we are really recruiting Georgia and them struggling would really help us.  Though we also go head to head with ND for a lot of the same kids.

David Sills...he's the old QB that was going to come to Michigan, right?

Edit: Or no...Kiffin offered him to USC?

I can't remember, I just remember the name.

Were there any good games besides ours this weekend.

Seemed like kind of a dud weekend other than our game, which was SPECTACULAR!

Will Grier is the one that got suspended or kicked out for using PEDs at Florida right? That was last time Florida had a good offense if I remember correctly.

If you get 60 hung on you, at home, in the season opener...it's going to be a long year. I don't care who has a hot-tub in their room.
