just like the non-pulls were a rope a dope for Wisconsin, the bad routes and poor attack against the zone is the rope a dope for Sparty. Oh yeah, Raback it!

I wonder the same, worry we won’t see anything different and hope it’s the ol’ rope a dope. We kept hoping there was a special set of plays for Peppers but they never materialized. But, the OSU gameplans have been good. Time will tell, of course.

OSU went to the short passing game last night and let their athletes #makeplays to win. I thought it was a good adjustment to what PSU was doing.

09/30/2018 - 11:15am This is the exact opposite…

This is the exact opposite of the hand wringing done last week when UM intercepted a pass that would’ve gone for a TD if not tipped. Michigan doesn’t dictate everything and sometimes players make plays. It’s ok that NW played really well for a while before succumbing to a better D. I agree, though, that we can’t spot better teams such a big lead.

09/29/2018 - 8:26pm last I checked, Patterson…

last I checked, Patterson plays for UM, making him part of the team in which we need playmakers of which he is one. So...we good?

how many times has a QB made a play against us on a broken play and won the game?  How about just about every OSU game since ‘04.

Team came out flat and almost paid for it. Almost.

I take my son to the barber, barber asks if he likes Spongebob cause her kids love it, my son says he’s not allowed to watch it because it makes you dumb. Awkward....

I could have retired by now but instead bought legos for my kids

And don’t forget to have your PR people write and post an apology that actually sounds like an apology.

UMbig11 is my homeboy. (Not in real life; he’s probably filing a restraining order right now)

The offensive gameplan for ND was boring. At no point did anyone in my section think we were really going to win. And I was in the Mich section. Criticism warranted.

i support Harbaugh even if he gets an 8-5 record this year. However, I can also criticize him and say we should expect more for his salary. When you’re paid at the top tier, you need to exceed expectations every once in a while.

09/18/2018 - 12:15pm my 6th grader had a …

my 6th grader had a "homework assignment" last night where he had to watch 15 minutes of football (gym class). I said, "perfect, you can watch MNF when we get home." He says, "I hate the NFL." So he re-watched the Texas-USC game from last weekend instead of a live NFL game!

09/17/2018 - 6:15pm I mean, its any stadium with…

I mean, its any stadium with, um, stadium seating. I was in South Bend this year and same deal - the benches suck. Other stadiums are the same. Maybe you're saying this about football in general, but its not a Michigan thing.

That cloud saved the day for me, too, thats for sure. It came in around halftime and stayed through 3Q; I left with 1 min left in 3Q cause I ran out of time to be there that day. I never thought there would have been that much time left when I planned my day!

09/17/2018 - 5:56pm Saturday was B.R.U.T.A.L.

Saturday was B.R.U.T.A.L.

I seriously questioned why I was in the stadium...except then I turned to my left and saw how my 7 year old son was enjoying the experience (heat aside).

At one point in the 1st Q we left to cool off and get a frozen lemonade during a stoppage; didn't take long to get back and find yet another stoppage. The stoppages wouldn't be so bad if the reception problem would be addressed. Its ridiculous that connectivity continues to be an issue.

I'll keep going to games and taking my kids b/c I love football Saturdays overall. However, I do enjoy watching from home quite a bit.

09/16/2018 - 11:12am Because he’s not Harbaugh?

Because he’s not Harbaugh?

edit: just watched the video; yeah should be. That’s fraudulent football! I’m surprised he didn’t get lit later in the game

09/15/2018 - 9:38pm Ugh, so absurd. I even…

Ugh, so absurd. I even questioned myself for actually going to the games. Stay home, dvr, ff thru interminable stoppages? Sounds better than sweating my junk off sometimes!

09/14/2018 - 6:34pm this board is much more…

this board is much more entertaining when team is winning and trolls are dealt with. Well done!

A good friend grew up with Craig James and was very disturbed when I shared the CJK5H “rumor”. I know, “cool story, bro” but the look on his face when I told him was incredible. I suggested we find the truth but got shut down quickly.

09/08/2018 - 5:26pm I was worried it'd be all…

I was worried it'd be all run run run and wanted to see some passing.  Glad we got 4 passing TDs. Need to see more reps passing to believe we really have an offense - it's a hypothesis still and not yet a theory.

09/05/2018 - 12:37pm I mean, this is only one fan…

I mean, this is only one fan's view, but I can't wrap my head around the fact that lower tiered (and talent?) schools can field a competitive offense and UM can't (see State, Utah and Appalachian for most recent examples). There is something wrong when we shrug and say "tackles" for our offensive woes. I dont really care to breakdown the source, UM has a $10M+ coaches payroll for that, and its reasonable to expect that they figure out a way to produce on the field.

09/01/2018 - 8:17am Yeah, Harbaugh is such a…

Yeah, Harbaugh is such a loser that after he fails he's going to be a head coach in the N F F'ing L. They wish they were that big of a "loser"

08/31/2018 - 9:40am ITS HAPPENING!!

Just locked up my Tix for tomorrow too, so a happy ending for OT season for me!

have you seen those buckeye necklaces???

I'll be there, too! Just moved back from Texas and so excited to catch other sports live. Didn't know it was free, though; boom, an extra hot dog!

08/09/2018 - 8:19am also good, but I bet you…

also good, but I bet you also also also:

5. buy low and sell high.

08/08/2018 - 12:01pm OSU's desired outcome is to…

OSU's desired outcome is to retain Meyer. I think everything they do is in support of that outcome unless and until it becomes clear that outcome in not attainable. This 14 day suspension and investigation is to get the story to cool off and for the general pop to move on. I'll be shocked if he's fired and shrug when he's retained.

07/25/2018 - 8:51pm Would you have Michigan do…

Would you have Michigan do this?

I’m torn, actually. Based on the 10+ year purgatory the b-ball team went through, I’d say yes. But then, Leaders and Best and all.

07/15/2018 - 7:47am Right! For me it’s one bag…

Right! For me it’s one bag of shock a week, and then every 3-4 weeks I add muratic acid, chlorine and phosphate reducer and backwash the filter. Kids swimming in the backyard is fantastic!

my list includes: gas line for grill; multiple shower heads; speakers in every room wired to one mobile-ready reciever so I can play the tunes from a central place; a smoker; and a workout room. Oh, and a walk in pantry.

07/14/2018 - 10:31pm I suppose it depends on…

I suppose it depends on where you live. I have/had one in TX and it was great. It was very easy to maintain, just costed  a little in chemicals and more in maintenance as it aged. Folks pay a high monthly fee for outside maintenance, which I think is bc it’s intimidating. A Michigan Man can sure maintain his pool.

07/06/2018 - 4:09pm Tryna move back to Michigan…

Tryna move back to Michigan but the housing sucks balls. My latest option fell apart. Anyone got a room?

06/04/2018 - 7:56am What went wrong

Not beating OSU, moral victories aside. We win one or two and the tone is very different. The reasons for not beating them are plentiful and I think (hope?) they have been addressed if not resolved.

Longer look back says Brandon hiring Hoke is what went wrong-est.

Right: Harbaugh is the right coach for Michigan

06/02/2018 - 10:39am Over?

It was NEVER over for me!

05/17/2018 - 9:06pm For the time being?

For the time being?

Is winter coming?

Spoiler alert anyone????

I stopped watching last fall but am sure going to restart for sure

04/14/2018 - 1:33pm I knew it was coming but was

I knew it was coming but was stilled shocked to see it in print. Good for Moe!

And his letter is really good! For the 52nd time, read it if you haven’t already. I’ll read it to my kids, too. Dream crazy!

04/13/2018 - 5:23pm 8 or 9. Our schedule is tough

8 or 9. Our schedule is tough and we’re just not there on O to handle so many road challenges.

It could be a crappy season but I still renewed my tix today! #suckaforblue

04/09/2018 - 6:37pm Why? (Real question)

Why? (Real question)

04/03/2018 - 10:08pm Yeah

Been dragging my feet on renewing season tix for this very reason

04/02/2018 - 3:50pm Put me in, Coach!

I’m still hoarse from Saturday but I’ve been rehabbing, taking IVs and sitting in the oxygen chamber. I’m coming out strong for the win tonight!

04/01/2018 - 1:24pm Nope!

Not if you use USC math!

04/01/2018 - 10:56am the hero we needed

I think it was clear to Poole that when he got in in the 2nd half that we needed a spark. Mathews had success with his athletism in the 1st, taking people off the dribble and Poole did the same. I loved him taking some authority! That got us in the crowd going and sparked the team. Didn't know about the halftime talk til just now but I love seeing his play follow his halftime talk. What a leader!

03/29/2018 - 12:40pm Gah!

You’re right; and that’s why the WW2 Naval museum is in Fredericksburg! Another site to check out...

03/29/2018 - 12:37pm Congrats Coach!

I saw him at a football game some time ago and he took a few minutes to chat, which was awesome. I’ve felt bad since then because I said “hey John!” rather than “coach” but he didn’t even hate on me like Bob Knight choking out a kid for not calling him coach. Anyway, cool story and I feel better now that I have it off my chest.

03/29/2018 - 9:20am Things to do in SA when not at the game

Thought I'd share some ideas to avoid the tourist traps on the riverwalk...

San Antonio has some fantastic restaurants, something that continues to surprise me even after almost 9 years here, and some good bars:

-       The only place worth eating at on the Riverwalk is Boudro’s; don’t eat anywhere else right on the river unless you enjoy bland, salty, and/or fatty, tourist food. Boudro’s is great and will require a reservation. Actually, most good places downtown will need a reservation.

-       Pearl district has many really good restaurants and they’re very creative with the menus. They will be pricey though. My favorites are Southerleigh (Texas Eclectic & brewery), Il Sogno (Italian), and Down on Grayson. Boiler House has a good breakfast/brunch.

-       Guenther House is very popular and has a great rep, especially for brunch; I’ve not been there, though.

-       The boutique hotels are also a good choice for food. I recently ate at Rebelle at the St. Anthony and it was great with great drinks.

-       Southtown is also a trendy strip with some good restaraunts and bars – Feast is my fave.

-       The bars on the Riverwalk are pretty good, but will be what you expect in a tourist zone. A cool bar on the north side of downtown that I like is the Brooklynite. Southtown and Pearl will also have bars to hang out in.

-       Of course, Whataburger is always an option and I wouldn’t pass it up! For barbeque, go to Rudy’s. Or, if you have a car, head to Lockhart for some really good bbq and if you cant choose a place, choose Smitty’s Place. Austin has good bbq, but the juice aint worth the squeeze in terms of wait time and travel time.

-       The TexMex in SA is phenomenal, I recommend Pappasitos or maybe Chuy’s, though both require a car. For Mexican, go to La Fogata. Again, there are many many to choose from!

Things to do on Sunday in between Michigan wins:

-       Sea World and Six Flags

-       Many great golf courses – LaCantera, The Quarry, TPC San Antonio, Brackenridge are pretty close and give a good challenge. Watch out for rattlesnakes.

-       Texas wine country tour. For the misses, of course.

-       Museums: McNay Art Museum and The Witte are 2 good ones I can vouch for. The Ripley’s Odditorium doesn’t count.

-       Remember the Alamo!

-       Fredericksburg is a good day trip, but mostly for those who want to visit a small town main street with shops.

-       Walk or jog the Riverwalk – its really nice and its been extended north and south of the main downtown section

-       Mission trail

May your time in SA be filled with gread food, margaritas, and a double shot of Michigan wins!
