MOD EDIT: Per Peppers' own Twitter, don't send him to the pros just yet - he has not decided to go as of this moment. - LSA

According to a few NFL draft blogs I've skimmed through, it looks like there's gonna be a lot of stupid ass GM's that pass on Peppers due to him being too "unorthodox". Watch him get to a contender at the end of the first round such as the Raiders, Pats, Packers, or Cowboys.

IMO Peppers best fit will be if he is allowed to play the same "Viper" role in the NFL that he played at Michigan.  But he's not an necesarily a Top 5-10 draft pick as a traditional safety or traditional LB.

He's a bit like the defensive version of an elite mobile QB  that can wreak havoc on opponents in the right system, but can be a bad fit if they end up with a coach that tries to force him to be a drop back passer.

I hope Pepp ends up on a team that understand how to take advantage of the unique skillset that he offers.

that the really good players never stay more than 2 yrs or so but thats the world we live in and I certainly cant argue with the opportunity to go out and make BIG money for himself and family.

Hard not to feel a little short-changed by his time here.  One year lost to injury, no bowl games, an excellent player but not the generational one many anticipated.  Kinda the Mitch McGary of football.

If speight hits a deep pass vs Iowa you don't say this, if the refs call a fair game vs osu you don't say this. Our losses were on the offense this year, jabrill was a difference maker, as you saw against FSU. People should give caveats that he didn't meet their personal, stupidly high expectations for him, and that's on you.

Jabrill is awesome man. I have love watching him play and he has represented the university impeccably. However, he set the bar real high for himself and that's not a bad thing. He was a great player, but his play didn't put him on the level of a Woodson, and that's a fact. Yah it's a stupidly high bar but that's what he wanted because he has he talent for that kind of greatness. I hope he comes back and becomes the legend we all know he's capable of being.

It's going to be an adjustment to watch teams be able to throw screen passes at us next year without Jabrill shedding two blocks and destroying the ball carrier in the backfield.

May your hamstring be healed in time to beat fellow UM Alum Rich Eisen in the 40 at the NFL combine!

It was a blast watching you, Jabrill.   My only regret - not seeing you play next week in the NCAA championship game.

Harbaugh talked a lot about the whole stopping of the train going in the wrong direction and turning it around, and no player did more to accomplish that than JP5.  Forever a Michigan man.

Good luck to Jabril. He is going to be a great pro. And finally all the gibberish on here about him staying can stop. He was always going once they started talking to agents yet so many on here were in denial. He is NFL ready and he is going to be a first round pick, most likely in the top 15 going to the Jets, Bills, Cardinals, Saints, or a few surprise teams.

I've never had the opportunity to make millions and can't fault him for getting his money. It will be interesting to see where he is selected. I've seen him as the 3rd or 4th safety in a few position mocks. There has been some scuttlebutt about him on offense which could be intriguing to some teams. I hope our advisory team got this one right.

Glad to see him advance his career and make the money that's due to him...and believe he will have a great career on Sunday's..still a part of me wishes he would come back and make his stamp on our program as being one of the legends. Yes he did great things for Michigan and definitely helped the team in so many ways just don't think he ever got or had the chance to get in that legend category and that's a shame because he's so talented

First and foremost, thank you Jabrill for all your great play on the field, and the manner in which you represented the team. At a time when we were NOT in play for major recruits all the time (something alot of us have forgotten), Jabrill chose Michigan and arguably began our push to be great again.

Now, am I bummed to hear this because I felt like he MIGHT come back and finish some unfinished business? Sure. For purely selfish and unintelligable reasons I wish he would have come back to win a Big Ten/Natty Championship, and of course destroy OSU at home next year. It does sadden me that one of our "all time greats" leaves without a better list of accomplishments? Yes. However, how many Michigan Men over the past decade have been great and didnt beat OSU, or win a championship? Way too many is the answer. This is now going all the way back to Jake Long, Henne, etc.

All that being said, all the best to Jabrill and to his future. I hope that the top half of the draft board makes the sincere mistake of letting him fall to the better teams at the bottom. I for one am especially excited about seeing him play on Sundays, whereever that may be.

And I hope Darren Heitner feels good about his "breaking the news". I for one found it petty, and think it smells of somebody who got passed over for another agent. I feel bad for Jabrill who likely DID NOT want the news to come out through some third party schmuck.

Last note....I think this is a good thing for the team. I am not in favor of having one player who seems to overshadow the other players, even when those other players are NFL caliber (i.e. Taco, Wormley, Lewis). How many offensive drives did we see where putting in Peppers seemed to kill our momentum? If Harbaugh and Michigan football are about "the team, the team, the team" then it will be nice to get back to a place where its more about the 22 guys on the field, then 1 superstar and 21 other guys who play with him. Excited to see how Khaleke Hudson, Mettelus, and the others develop over the course of the off season as we attempt  to refill our VIPER spot.
