Jake Rudock writes about his final game
Haven't seen this posted yet, but Jake Rudock wrote an article for The Player's Tribune about his year at Michigan and what the process has been like for him over the past year.

This is one of those situations that seems to have worked out best for all of the parties involved. I'm not sure that I like Ferentz, but I always thought he was a decent guy and was uprfont with Rudock about his options allowing him to make the best decision for his future.

Awesome read...what a heady guy and leader. It also cannot hurt for his teammates and future wolverines (recruits and their parents) to see this..to see how fast and deep his relationship with Harbaugh developed and the connections he has as a result.

Great Read. Great to see the point of view of a grand transfer and especially as a leader at quarterback. Its not just mercenary work, its opening doors and creating a symbiotic relationship that is beneficial for everyone involved here. Great to see Harbaugh taking care to get Jake connected with a few people at med school in case the NFL dream does not come to fruition and to read Jake's perspective on it all.
Overall, have really enjoyed those player's tribune snippets. This one, and Pepper's almost poetic piece on The Game. The little things that humanize some of the players who put their hearts and souls into this team so us fans can get those satisfying W's. Go blue!

Even though he was with us for only 1 year, he truly is a class act and wish him well for the future. Glad he chose to be a Wolverine!

Makes me wonder, hopefully he makes an NFL team and one days starts. When they do the player intors, they often mention their school, which will he say - Iowa or Michigan or both?
What does Russell Wilson say?

NC State claims Wilson, if that means anything.

Sometimes both sides benefit from a transfer. Jake flourished here. Iowa and CJ flourished there. Wins all around.

I'm hoping the same thing happens with O'Korn. Michigan benefits by having him. Houston beneftis by having Greg Ward Jr. Win-Win

Wow, what a great article.
I did not think it was possible, but I will be rooting extra hard for the Wolverines tomorrow, just to see Jake Rudock go out a winner in his last college game.

Jake's article provides great insight into the whole transfer process. It's not an easy decision going from being an integral piece of a program and then changing gears to a new environment. There is a lot of activity below the surface fans don't see.
Enjoy your last college game on Friday Jake, have fun you earned it. Good luck in your future environments whether its the NFL and/or medicine, we'll be pulling for you!

Don't get me wrong, wins are great, but winnings with guys like this makes it even more special. We root for Michigan and that is an honor and a privilege that isn't matched by other programs.
Also. Harbaugh not only prepared Jake for football, but also gave him connections to people in his desired field of pediatric medicine. Uh, if I had a son, and if he was good enough to play for Michigan, I would entrust him to a guy like Harbaugh. That sort of stuff speaks volumes for the type of person Jim is and how he is a great coach and human being.
Go Blue.

He progressed so much throughout the season. Imagine if he had another year working with Harbaugh.
Love how this guy represents our university, cares about academics, and how his teammates love him back. Hoping he leads us to victory on Friday!
GO BLUE!

is a true Michigan man and a "Harbaugh-type" of player. He will be successful in life.

But he eventually won me over. Have to admit, he's a competitor to be proud of. Thanks for a great year Jake. I'll just sit back here munching on crow.
(Dang, those little feathers sure get caught in your teeth!)

I esp. liked that he had no hard feelings about Ferentz and Iowa. Rudock just kept it moving...and he will continue to do that, I trust, in whatever his future endeavors will br.

It was great to see the progress Rudock made over the course of the season. He really came into his own in November. Very impressive how quickly he gained the trust and respect of his teammates.

I have a ton of respect for Jake and appreciate what he brought to this team. Without him, this is a 6 win team with whatever QB was on the roster (Morris? Speight?).
After the Utah game...MgoBlog was on fire ROASTING THIS KID.
Myself and one or two other guys were the ONLY people here who had Jake's Back.
Didn't you guys see Chesson slow up on that deep ball? Harbaugh did...its on the tape.
Didnt you guys see a Freshman WR break off his route for certain on 1 INT and on the other cut it short?
Didnt you see Jake lead the team down the field on a late TD drive? That was a guy who had only been practicing with the team for a few weeks.
Its pretty hypocritical for any Michigan fan who roasted Jake unfairly, to be here now praising him...unless you admit that you were wrong about him.
The kid is a winner and will be in life.
