The Amine brothers have a cousin, Cam, who is a senior right now and will be at Michigan next year. One of the highest rated high school wrestlers in the country, can't wait to see him on the mat!
Both Stony Brook and Morgan State are FCS teams, so I don't think that Wheatley had to sit a year when he transferred to Stony Brook. Not sure how transfers work between FCS teams, but I'd have to guess that he probably graduated and can transfer anywhere he wants.
I dunno, it was -10 outside this morning when I got to work in Big Sky, MT (I'm a carpenter and we're framing a house right now). Just put on my extra heavy work coat and kept moving... I know the Michigan cold is a bit different because of humidity, but it seems that people are making a bigger deal outta this than has to be made. Since it started snowing regularly in November, I'm thinking that we've had around 10-15 nights/early mornings of temperatures well below zero and life goes on as normal around here. Just my two cents, stay warm!
Personally I wouldn't call Pantaleo over Hayes an upset. Hayes may be ranked higher, but Pantaleo had a severe bout with mono and missed the first month plus. He's just now getting back into shape and wrestling well. He's a two time all american and has a great chance to be top 3 this year. Unfortunately I personally don't think anybody is gonna be able to take out Nolf at 157, the guy is a total beast, just beats people up on the mat. Great win over OSU in the dual tho in front of a raucous crowd. I'm not banking on a win next weekend, but I think our lineup matches up as well against PSU as anyone in the country, Go Blue!
Never understood why MSU has such a shitty wrestling program. You'd think they could be at least on par with CMU, but they're not. It's a little disheartening, the state of Michigan has strong wrestling, always has. Makes you wonder...
Just pulled sockeye salmon and bacon wrapped chicken off of the Traeger! Its on the plate with fried zucchini, shrooms and some rice! No new snow here, think we are gonna get hit with whats left of that storm from Michigan sometime early next week. Bout to crack open a Col Taylor Small Batch bourbon and watch the UFC fights here in Montana. I have KC and LAR tomorrow.

I believe you are referring to the "Urban Meyer Dick Stroking Festival" aka The Rose Bowl. I will play Xbox One and listen to music and switch over every 30 minutes or so to check the score. O/U on how many times they show Urban with that smug ass look he constantly has on his face... 50, 100 times? I don't know if I've ever seen a more punchable face in my life!
Rob Ash is no longer the coach at Montana State. His name is Jeff Choate and this is his third year here. Rob Ash coached here for like 7-8 years and did a pretty solid job. I'm a Montana St. alum, we made the FCS playoffs like 3 three times in his tenure, pretty good for the recent history of the program. Right now Montana State is 6-4 and has a huge rivalry game with the Montana Griz (The Brawl of the Wild) coming up on Saturday! Go Cats FTG!!!
Raj that was absolute gold! As a 35 year old single male who grew up in Saginaw, MI you nailed middle school on the head. I've screen shotted this and sent it out to like five of my buddies already and we are all hysterically laughing! Bravo my friend, I hope you write for C/CP for many, many more years!
Ben Mason is my favorite player on this Michigan team, he's like the Winovich on the offensive side: never stops going, does whatever it takes to win and his teammates love him. I think he has such a huge role in the PSU and OSU games coming up, look for a fullback wheel route where Mason breaks one off!
What a bad ass story, I used to enter the weekly football Pick-Em in the Saginaw News every week growing up. They had you pick select NFL, College and local high school games every week. They'd always publish the readers that outpicked the "expert" writers. I was on that damn list almost every week and I was so damn proud!
Its been a weird day today in CFB so far. Big time favorites have been playing close games all day. Here's to hoping Michigan jumps all over Wisconsin and we can cruise a little in the fourth quarter...
Okay, that was totally badass! To all the negative nancies on here and the naysayers across the country, "Wherever you see that block M, its stands for all of us"! The Irish are gonna feel Michigan tomorrow for 60 minutes! #goblue #maizeandblue "beatnd "tohellwithnotredame
From what I've seen there is a Field and a Boundary corner. When Long was in he always played on the right hand side of the defense (facing the offense) and Hill would play on the left side. Michigan would slide Hill into the slot sometimes and put Watson on the left when need be. I think that all three top corners being at least good tacklers is what helps this defense to be dominant. You don't see them whiff too much when they do get beat and they help in the run game as well. If the DTs can hold up and the Safeties can improve, I think we have the #1 defense in college football.
Our safeties were a bit prone last year for sure. I think they'll be more solid as both are returning and should be better. Don Brown's defense can put safeties in tough positions. Covering one on one quite a bit, and having to chase big plays that get blocked up front initially or if the qb makes a great escape etc.
Montana State is tied with Western Illinois in the Cats opening Gold Rush game. 13-13 late third quarter. Montana State has a linebacker from last year starting at QB who is as big as Tebow, plays like Tebow and wears #15.
I recently had a compression fracture (11 weeks ago) in my back and I wore a brace for 6 weeks. Everything is healing great, just have another month of pt and I"ll be good to go. I'm sure Speight's rehab was much different than mine, but my guess is that this injury probably kept Speight out for about 4 months ish...
Thanks for the insight Denver, nice to see rationale Buckeyes out there. I'm of the same opinion that you are. I think our ceiling is as high as any team this year. If Shea is the real deal and our running game improves just a little bit, this team could win a national championship. We do however have depth issues at WR and OL and maybe a little bit on DL and those can be exposed by a few injuries, which may push Michigan to an 8 win season (which would be a disaster in my book). I, for one, believe that Harbaugh is the best coach for the job (I mean how much better and more solid has our team looked compared to RR and Hoke), but he needs to beat three of ND, MSU, PSU, OSU and Wisconsin to make it a successful season in my book. I'm not saying fire him if we win 8 games, but I think the seat will get fairly warm if we have another season like last years.
Toledo, at least you have your priorities straight! I'm currently sitting around recovering from a broken back I suffered in a car wreck 10+ weeks ago. The content this week has been a godsend, since I can't really do much other than play Xbox and try not to be a complete fatass... Anyways 4 days til we kick the shit outta Notre Dame, I'll be up early in the morning Saturday, smoking a large piece of meat (brisket, tri-tip or prime rib I'm not quite sure yet) and having it ready before 5:30 so I can catch every second of the beatdown in South Bend.
I read the article and its not that out of bounds. He even goes on to say that "few believe Harbaugh's job is in jeopardy" and that the program is at a crossroads, which I think in year 4 is a fair statement. I dunno some of you out there go crazy with these articles, this isn't even in the class of those shit chatsports articles, just my $0.02...
I dunno if you watched the Wisconsin/Michigan game last year, but Hornibrook was carving up the Michigan secondary on third down. Sure he's inconsistent, but when he's on like he was last year in Madison against us, Wisconsin is a scary, scary team!
Another reason for optimism: who really thought the men's b-ball had any kind of shot at the national title before the season last year... nobody. It took Beilein until year 6 to really make some noise for Michigan in college b-ball. I'm hoping its year 4 for Harbaugh in football here at Michigan. We have the necessary ingredients for a special season, its just time to let the pieces fall in place and see where we come out on the other side. I'll be disappointed with anything less than 10 wins (even with this ridiculous schedule) and ecstatic with anything more! Go Blue, can't wait for the boys to roll into South Bend and start this special season off in the right way! To hell with Notre Dame!
Went to Carver-Hawkeye for a wrestling dual meet a few years back. It was one of the most intense sporting experiences of my life, kinda reminded me of old school Yost, but about 5,000 more people and it seemed like twice as loud. I think it was 2015 and Iowa was ranked #1 and they handled Michigan with relative ease. Even after an intense wrestling dual meet (Iowa is rather intense about their wrestling) everyone was super nice and complimented on how well Michigan wrestled. I would love to go back for a football game, just not at night...
Elmer T. Lee bourbon and just turned over to watch UFC instead of watching Hawaii crush CSU, this time next week I'll be enjoying a preemptive victory bourbon after we are up 21 in the fourth with 7 minutes left :-)

Honda generators are the best IMO, very spendy but they're efficient and never die. I've seen so many 20+ year old Honda generators kicking around.

It doesn't
Haven't posted in months, am I able to up/down vote yet? I only have like 380 MGoPoints, maybe I don't have enough?

What a shit end of the game for Pitt...
ND goes for it on fourth and one with a Book rollout... Pitt can win this with a TD 2:36 left
Martinez is having a pretty solid game, glad we got Nebraska early it looks like things are coming together a little bit.
JWG fueling the conspiracy theories and killing them simultaneously, love it!
Grew up in Michigan, have lived in Montana for the last 12 years. I say soda now, and it pisses everyone off back home.

MSU down 23-20 with 9 minutes left, they're driving. Montana State Tebow is looking pretty solid these last few drives!

Count me as surprised that you're only 32... Thats probably more of a compliment than not one, just surprised me based on your posting history.
You know football season is right around the corner when THE_KNOWLEDGE chimes in. YESSSS!!!!!!!!!!
Good choice my friend, I'm still debating on what my game day bourbon will be
Dont worry Wyandot, we all wanna destroy Ohio St., you shouldn't doubt that whatsoever
Snowed a lil bit in the mountains near Bozeman, MT last night. Yup fall is right around the corner.

This was funny, you were bound to get some posters on here to tell you to "fuck off", but I thought it was understated and pretty funny, good job!
I'll be willing to participate
