Difficult to tell from the angle, but he's actually riding a horse in this painting. The charred ruins of East Lansing and Columbus in the background (it's a futurescape).

Is actually a centaur.

Yes that's right, trusted centaur Misopogon. The original also contains a wench, and Brian's birthname of "BloodRaYne!" written across his chest. In blood.
Does someone have the original painting? The one above appears to have been significantly photoshopped.

"Hail Brian" is OK with me. But the minute someone tries to pull a "Heil Brian," I am heading to a new message board...

Personally, I think that the site should be part of the IT curriculum so that someone finally learns how to fix the MGoBoard next page button.

but IMHO Brian has become one of the more influential figures in Michigan athletics. Maybe on the level of Hackett. DB clearly learned what can happen if you don't negotiate with terrorists.

I disagree. I mean he is a figure/leaderish type figure for a segment of the UM fan base, but that fan base I think is still a minority of most UM fans and sports fans in general. Not to say the typical MGoBlog reader type fan is insignificant, but there's a reason that even with it's recent woes, ESPN is still a giant and there's a seeming endless army of HOT TAKES and idiotic sports commentators making buckets of money. It's because most sports fans, and UM fans fall into this as well, are still of the vain that watch sports and yell things like 'they just need to get TOUGHER', and 'MAKE PLAYS', etc. Maybe it's bias on my part because those are the majority of sports fans I interact with, but I suspect you're overestimating MGoBlog's influence at this time. While MGoBlog certianly seems to get a lot of traffic and views, we're still talking about a site that has like two? full time employees? However, the type of fan that is drawn to MGoBlog is growing and will gain more influence with time. But for now, it's still a minority. Not so much that you can ignore it, but still not as big as you're stating things. But hell, maybe I'm completely wrong.
