The underclassmen don't even know how to get to Ann Arbor - they think we play in East Lansing every freaking year. Oh wait, we do!

They couldn't even stay in within the lines, either. Such sloppy work.

a little to be desired, though. How close did he hold that spray can? And how green are his hands this morning???
Also, we're still relevant. score.

I thought there was a group of students every year that was supposed to guard the diag during MSU week.
Man...Brandon really f'ed this one up. Fire Brandon!

Welp, the moment has come. We've had a good run, but it's time to shut it down. Shut down everything.

for guarding the Diag and the Rock during rivalry week, is down 30% this year. Go figure.

I was under the impression that they start standing guard on the Wednesday before the game.

But you should never announce your game plan like that in public.
See, this is why Hoke never tells us anything.
October 22nd, 2014 at 8:52 AM ^
They were trying out a new man to man defense, but they just didn't execute. Had a good week of practice, and are really supporting each other.

It's my old Fraternity and they are heading out there Thursday. We asked to go out ealier..like Tuesday but were repeatedly turned down. Soooo, not really their fault.

Ugh, another presidential transition. Just what we need. Our recruiting is really going to take a hit. Those upper level course are really going to feel it in a few years.

Fire Brandon and Fire Hoke. Hopefully getting pasted this weekend by sparty will put the final nails in the coffins for both Hoke and Brandon.

But fuck you. Anyone who WANTS Michigan to lose can kiss my ass. That's not a fan, that's not wanting whats best...that's just bullshit.
You can want Hoke and Brandon fired and not want to see Michigan lose games - especially against their in-state rival.
You've gone on and on about MSU beating Michigan this week. It's likely, no question...but to want it to happen is just disgusting. That's not being a fan one bit...and when Michigan is good again, whether Brandon or Hoke have anything to do with it, please keep rooting for MSU and every team Michigan plays.
Not sorry.

I love this team and I am hoping and praying for an upset, but I think from what we have seen on the field from michigan and the MSU games from as of late, we're going to get wrecked.
These players won't quit on Brady so we have that going for us, but let's hope we come out prepared for the same game MSU is prepared for.
October 22nd, 2014 at 9:38 AM ^
These players won't quit on Brady so we have that going for us
But he's already shown on several occasions that he's quitting on them:
"I quit" of the week. Hoke once again quit when victory was still distantly possible. After Gardner drove the team to a touchdown, he kicked an extra point instead of going for two to find out whether he was 2.5 or 3 possessions down, then kicked deep. "I quit," he said. Then facing fourth and ten down 16 with 4 minutes left, he punted. "I quit," he said again.
This has been a pattern in every one of Michigan's blowout losses: offenses that huddle and run the clock down to nothing while trailing by multiple scores in the second half, coupled with starters still on the field. Brady Hoke quits when down, but he wants to keep up the appearance of trying. This is why Devin Funchess is going to spend the year nursing an ankle sprain.
I get why he quits—I also want the games to be over as fast as possible. It's still embarrassing to the program.
October 22nd, 2014 at 1:18 PM ^
But he has on MANY occassion, in fact, on every possible occassion he gets he loves to tell the world how he can't wait for MSU to win or how he wants MSU to win or how he wants us to lose so that Hoke and Brandon can be gone.
It's not being a fan whatsoever. I want those guys too, but I'm still going to root for the team and wish them the best. Even if I know we have a 1% chance. Hell, even if I know we have a 0% chance.

In this purely hypothetical reality, I think it would matter how the team looked in getting to 7-5. If they won some crazy, close, ugly games, then that's not good enough. If they somehow figured the offense out during the bye and miraculously came out looking like a well oiled machine that put up points (and looked like they did it on purpose), then I could see justifying keeping him. It's not that 7-5 is "good enough," but that the trajectory suggests things are starting to come together (too late for this season, but maybe not for next). Which is part of why Rodriguez's 7-5 team didn't seem good enough to a lot of people (myself included, eventually); that 2010 squad may have gotten those 2 extra wins compared to 2009, but they got there ugly and in as uninspiring a way possible, ending on that horrendous bowl appearance. The record wasn't as damning as just how ramshackle the team seemed to be.
Now, I think this is about 0% chance of them turning a corner this year and expect maybe one more win (Indiana, aka #CHAOSTEAM). There's always going to be divisions within fanbases, especially when it comes to coaches (e.g., some hate Carr, some respect him; bringing up RR is sitll almost guaranteed to start an argument), but I've got to imagine the Fire Hoke perspective is approaching near unanimonity.

if this two week hiatus leads to Michigan running the table and winning the BiG, Hoke is a fat fool who needs to be fired along with the rest of the FB coaching staff and Brandon.
