You think Hinton starts over Trente Jones? I don’t. He wasn’t very good at Stanford.
December 17th, 2022 at 6:46 PM ^
I heard that a whole 9 of his Stanford credits will transfer!
December 17th, 2022 at 8:33 PM ^
Naw, he'll be able to transfer between 23 and 45 credits, for sure.
December 17th, 2022 at 6:49 PM ^
This is just fabulous news. Get Yours Now!
December 17th, 2022 at 6:50 PM ^
Wow pretty cool but also appears there will be some attrition from the current roster.
Myles should talk to his teammate Arlen Harris Jr who was a 4* RB we were after in the 22 cycle.
December 17th, 2022 at 8:46 PM ^
I think he already committed to Iowa state
December 17th, 2022 at 6:51 PM ^
I’m probably going to be alone here but I don’t know if I love this. Hoping it’s not an indication of where Zinter/Keegan are at in their decisions. We are going to have a ton of attrition based on the way we are hitting the portal, and I’m hoping it’s not Keegan/Zinter. While Hinton was a 5 star at one point, he dropped a ways in his senior year and I don’t think he was great at Stanford. We will see, but I’m not as excited about this as I was for Henderson. Who was a 3 star out of HS but an all conference player.
December 17th, 2022 at 7:16 PM ^
Doesn’t that mean the opposite (assuming you were going to read into that)? Plus I imagine if he stayed it would be for a grad year.
December 18th, 2022 at 9:03 AM ^
He can go to the draft and still graduate in may
December 17th, 2022 at 7:09 PM ^
Yeah, Myles Hinton did not impress me at Stanford.
I doubt he'll be a starter for us next season unless he improves significantly over the next 8 months. But he can be good depth and gives us a much higher floor in case of injury.
December 17th, 2022 at 7:35 PM ^
Stanford was a tire fire. Let’s see what happens when he get a shot in spring practice and some of the best OL coaching in the nation. He obviously has the frame and smarts to be a starter but will have to earn it.
December 17th, 2022 at 8:37 PM ^
**the best OL coaching in the nation. FIFY
I don't even really think it's close. Coach Moore is tops.
December 17th, 2022 at 10:46 PM ^
Could still be developing. I think he will get better coaching here. Even if he doesn’t start he will add very good depth to a very good OL. Coaches like what they see in him and that’s good enough for me
December 18th, 2022 at 7:00 AM ^
This is the deal. The 2-deep on both the OL and DL is going to be insane next year. While, at this time, the team cannot and will not be looking ahead to next year we fans do have that luxury. As things stand, the only holes in next year's roster are BPONE created ones. The 2023 Michigan team will be a top 5 squad with legitimate #1 potential. Here, the only reasonable concern is how intact the coaching staff remains...because if they sit tight for a couple more years-oh my!
December 17th, 2022 at 6:52 PM ^
What a solid pick up for the OL.
Can never have too many good lineman. Losing Olu, Hayes and Zinter. Just reloading the big boys up front.
Go Blue 💪🏈
December 17th, 2022 at 6:55 PM ^
The Myles Hinton will have a chance to compete in the premier rivalry game in football against Tsio.
December 17th, 2022 at 6:57 PM ^
where's them folks that say your coaches don't have to win awards to be able to attract the great players?
December 17th, 2022 at 7:07 PM ^
Well our OL did win the Joe Moore award (twice) with a group of people recruited before we won the Joe Moore award. So I guess I'd be one of those folks.
But I agree that winning awards can only help.
December 17th, 2022 at 7:26 PM ^
Ed Warinner likely played the biggest role in recruiting.
December 17th, 2022 at 7:32 PM ^
What does that have to do with your comment about needing to win awards to recruit well?
I just don't see why you need to call out people on the board for things they may or may not have said. You were doing the same thing in the game threads (especially Illinois) trashing all of JJ's supporters.
December 17th, 2022 at 7:48 PM ^
um..... what?
December 18th, 2022 at 8:46 AM ^
Drevno
December 17th, 2022 at 7:15 PM ^
When did anyone ever say that? Here you are again manufacturing drama...

December 17th, 2022 at 7:14 PM ^
Harbs comin’
December 17th, 2022 at 7:21 PM ^
To quote Zach Shaw, "I'm not sure anyone knew what to expect after the 2020 season, when Jim Harbaugh opted to replace an assistant with >30 years of OL coaching experience with one who had never coached OL before. In 2 seasons, Sherrone Moore has only coached his line to 2 Joe Moore Awards. Elite."
December 17th, 2022 at 7:33 PM ^
Some birdies suggesting that Hello AJ Barner is up next. TE from Indiana who had a nice highlight TD catch against OSU actually this year.
December 17th, 2022 at 7:47 PM ^
I like Barner as a player he reminds me of schoon a lot might even have some more athleticism. Dude was a captain as a junior.
December 17th, 2022 at 7:34 PM ^

No one mentions true Fr. Gentry. He was a five star three years ago but did his 2yrs service for his church. He needs time in the weight room. Not sure if he redshirted this year.
December 17th, 2022 at 7:48 PM ^
He needs to get stronger was on a religious mission for 2 years. Not alot of elite weight room activity going on.
December 17th, 2022 at 7:50 PM ^
I completely forgot about him. That kid has got to be excited to come play for a two time Joe Moore line.
December 17th, 2022 at 7:43 PM ^
Welcome young man!!
December 17th, 2022 at 7:47 PM ^
We can have good things! In a “down” year in recruiting, the portal has been good to us. This is awesome.
December 17th, 2022 at 7:56 PM ^
What a day....
- We pick up Hinton
- THEEEEE ohio loses Raiola, and
- Dante Moore probably not going to staee
December 17th, 2022 at 8:12 PM ^
A Trifecta!
December 17th, 2022 at 11:16 PM ^
3. Probably? That all but gone at this point. Looks like UCLA got the highest bid. Wonder what Oregon thinks of that happens with the whole family getting jobs and what not.
December 17th, 2022 at 7:58 PM ^
Who wouldn’t want to play for the Sherrone “Joe” Moore line.
December 17th, 2022 at 8:12 PM ^
Good for depth. Not sure he starts. He was pretty underwhelming at Stanford.
December 17th, 2022 at 8:40 PM ^
Everyone was underwhelming at Stanford the last couple years. This gives a guy with smarts and 5* measurable as chance to reset with elite coaching.
December 17th, 2022 at 8:21 PM ^
POSBANG!
December 17th, 2022 at 8:55 PM ^
Hell yes! Great pickup.
December 17th, 2022 at 9:22 PM ^
LFG! Michigan has reset the narrative about excellence and winning. True ballers want to play in A2.
Harbaugh needs to deliver a win in the semis and then it’s all house money.
