New ESPN Tunnel Video Out

Looks like Jacoby Windmon (#4 & not yet suspended) put his helmet on & held Gemon Green whilst Khary Camp (#14 & suspended) hit Green with his helmet.

Ever heard the tools that argue since women wear revealing clothes that they are "asking for it"? It's the same boring and false diatribe.
It's victim blaming at it's finest(worst) to deflect blame from their own fanbase and program.

Edited. Bad choice of words by myself.

And battery.

Had a nice weekend with kids and girlfriend. Didn't see any of this until yesterday morning. Was busy most of the day so didn't spend much time thinking about it. Today back to work and after spending too much time catching up on the coverage, videos, press conferences, Twitter nonsense and various MSU affiliates justify their player's actions why do I not feel better about this win?
I know I'm a total sap for thinking at some point common decency and humanity will some day be the norm but that day is not today.
October 31st, 2022 at 3:36 PM ^
Number 41 I think it is, is the only respectable player MSU has as he tries to stop it
October 31st, 2022 at 3:53 PM ^
I think you can also applaud #3 (I assume this is RS SR, captain, and starting safety Xavier Henderson) who seems to be trying to get all of the MSU players into the locker room to prevent additional "scuffles".
Other notes:
LT Horst -he of the personal foul on the first Spartan drive (hat +2)- waited to be one of the last to enter the locker room. I am sure this was just looking out for his guys and not to start more trouble...
Who are the MSU staffers in the video? A few seemed to be interested in calming the situation and dealing with security people but the majority were "woofing" more than the MSU players and stayed out in the tunnel long after the players had exited. (Strong parallel to the MSU fan base now that I think of it..)
October 31st, 2022 at 4:15 PM ^
Props to Henderson the grown up in the room.
That MSU staffer is a flat out pussy running away. He would be gone if he worked for me.
Then again maybe he knows the behavior his guys are capable of.
October 31st, 2022 at 5:30 PM ^
Alot of MSU staff barking in the tunnel after the team had been ushered into the locker room. I'm hoping it's cause they are unaware of what took place as they were late after it had been broken up and are simply responding to the UM players who are upset after hearing what happened. I hope anyway.
October 31st, 2022 at 3:37 PM ^
There’s nothing like starting/adding to a criminal record because you’re angry your team Is shitty at football.
October 31st, 2022 at 3:39 PM ^
Looks like #41 (Derrick Harmon) pulled Camp away from Green. He's seen walking away with Camp in a headlock. Glad to see *one* Spartan knows right from wrong...
October 31st, 2022 at 6:55 PM ^
Would not shock me if RCMB spins this as "traitor" behavior by Harmon.
Realistically, the fact that MSU fans can't see humanity past a football rivalry should be astounding but sadly I've seen too much insanity from RCMB and other MSU twitter zealots.
Good on Harmon for doing so though.

Herbert prominently getting our guys in the locker room before things went all Braveheart.
October 31st, 2022 at 3:42 PM ^
Windmon was asked in the presser if he saw the altercation and he replied no. What a surprise....
October 31st, 2022 at 4:33 PM ^
We'll see if he responds that way under oath.
October 31st, 2022 at 3:45 PM ^
This angle sucks too.
All the action is in the first 30 seconds or so but it’s mad far from the camera.
October 31st, 2022 at 3:45 PM ^
Is this the video that Harbaugh was talking about? Cuz it doesn't show much more - just longer.
October 31st, 2022 at 3:49 PM ^
From the video, it looks like there may be a camera above the MSU locker room, curious if that provides a bird's-eye view of the incident. To you point, not a whole lot of net new info gathered from this view.
October 31st, 2022 at 4:12 PM ^
I noticed that camera too and I hope it was pointed down the tunnel and got a good elevated view.
October 31st, 2022 at 4:00 PM ^
I agree — it doesn’t show what led up to the incident — whether is was Green calling a Spartan a Poopoo Peepee Buttface or throwing the first punch.
October 31st, 2022 at 5:21 PM ^
You've never heard of the Poopoo Peepeed Buttface defense?
October 31st, 2022 at 4:52 PM ^
Doubt it. There has to be multiple security cameras in the tunnel that haven't been released yet (as they're controlled by UM, not ESPN/ABC).
October 31st, 2022 at 3:51 PM ^
Definitely feel free to neg me, but I feel like Harbaugh overstated it a little saying the ESPN/ABC camera shows "everything cut and dried".
October 31st, 2022 at 3:59 PM ^
Gonna guess this is not the video...but I don't know. If it is, I agree he oversold it. I can't see anything clearly in this video.
October 31st, 2022 at 4:00 PM ^
Did he actually say ESPN/ABC camera? Do we know if this is the only video? Let us wait until we see where things go before we pass judgement on our coach.
October 31st, 2022 at 4:01 PM ^
Don't mind if I do. Why are you assuming this is all of the footage available exactly? He also specifically said ABC, not ESPN/ABC.
October 31st, 2022 at 4:10 PM ^
I get where you are coming from, but in incidents like this, you are probably not going to get video up close and personal. It definitely shows more of the Green assault in better definition and Windmon's involvement in it than in previous videos. It's possible there other video we have not seen yet as well.
October 31st, 2022 at 4:15 PM ^
Yes, it is overstated, mostly because a lot of it's obstructed until Windmon jumps in and the helmet starts swinging. I'm of the opinion that with police and lawyers involved we'll get a decent idea of what actually happened. I think it shows Green walking up the tunnel, then maybe a shove by someone by MSU, then a shove back by Green, then they start wailing on Green in a group.
October 31st, 2022 at 3:52 PM ^
@ approximately 1:40, you see Tuck comin'...to slam his fist on the locker room door.
October 31st, 2022 at 4:00 PM ^
Not exactly projecting a sense of calm and control.
October 31st, 2022 at 7:09 PM ^
So that is him.
He is a very bad example to the players. It makes me wonder if he has shown rage in front of the players before, and it lead to these players being out of control in the tunnel.
October 31st, 2022 at 4:02 PM ^
I acknowledge this could be my bias but the only thing I see here is additional players that need to be suspended for MSU.
I feel fairly certain there are additional angles of this incident. It seems highly unlikely Green started it considering the following:
1) MSU's AD, President, and Horseshit football coach would not have reacted the way they have if there was any evidence they were not at fault.
2) Harbaugh used pretty definitive and damning language.
3) I doubt the Greens would be pursuing legal action if Gemon started it and there was evidence of it.
October 31st, 2022 at 4:11 PM ^
Still trying to figure out if this is before or after the video showing the group kicking and throwing a player through the door. It looks like this is the beginning of it all. Maybe later even in this video, but offscreen is where the kicking and throwing down happen. What absolute goons.
October 31st, 2022 at 4:14 PM ^
If I understand the timeline, McBurrows would have been dragged away pretty much right after Green was being hit with the helmet. So I think that event is completely blocked from view in this video.
October 31st, 2022 at 4:18 PM ^
I think the timeline has been reported as:
1) Gemon gets punched.
2) Jaden tried to break it up but then was a dragged into the doorway and stomped.
October 31st, 2022 at 4:26 PM ^
If you go back and watch the Charboneau video (first video to emerge), you can see Windmon and Crump in the background, just as Crump is being pulled up the tunnel by teammates. It helps sync the two videos. Also watch for the Michigan staffer in the white hat that eventually gets to McBurrows. You can see him usher him into the locker room in the ESPN video.

Good call - at :02 you can see Crump being pulled away and up the tunnel.
One other note - the Michigan staffer in the Yellow hat which the McBurrows beating happens right in front of, looks a lot like Tom Wywrot, longtime Michigan basketball SID. Can't really blame him for not wanting to jump in more strongly with these guys with pads and helmets on but he has zero emotion when the camera pans to him at the end.
October 31st, 2022 at 4:12 PM ^
Come on guys it’s 2022 the tunnel has its own security cameras in them and I guarantee Harbaugh has seen those. We won’t see that for awhile with an ongoing investigation
Heck my new cameras at my elementary school allow us zero in on faces and you can see them clear as day.
October 31st, 2022 at 4:20 PM ^
Damn! Does your school district have those vape detectors too?
October 31st, 2022 at 4:26 PM ^
I think you're spot on. I doubt that there are any parts of that stadium that aren't covered by cameras. And those are likely part of a criminal investigation and won't be released for some time.
October 31st, 2022 at 4:13 PM ^
Windmin puts his helmet back on before he engages like he is ready for action.
October 31st, 2022 at 4:16 PM ^
I think i still saw a white helmet swing above heads after #41 grabbed #14. Can't see if it was to hit someone but definately more helmet swinging is seen after #14 is pulled aside.
October 31st, 2022 at 4:16 PM ^
I can't decide whether to correct the OP that it's Khary Crump or continue to let everyone incorrectly state his name as a roundabout way of further disrespecting the helmet swinger.

Michigan State fans proving that the talk of them being the low rent university in Michigan is 100% deserved. They are truly despicable.

Can the University sue Valenti for $500 Million for HATE speech?

October 31st, 2022 at 4:29 PM ^
One thing that resonates with me is if you watch long enough, you see German Green go into the locker room about 1:42 and come charging back out about 1:45. I assume in the interim he found out what happened to Gemon. He is restrained by teammates and staffers, because that's what responsible people do.
October 31st, 2022 at 4:31 PM ^
Hard to tell exactly what happened, but it seems pretty clear that two Michigan players are walking on the edge of the right side of the tunnel closest to their locker room trying to get to it and get messed with by MSU players.
Looks to me like the Michigan player get hit, dodges another punch, and then pushes forward when he keeps getting hit, at about the same time MSU 14 starts swinging his helmet. Then one of the Michigan players gets dragged away to get kicked while the other gets hit by the helmet.
October 31st, 2022 at 4:32 PM ^
Watching their Dir of Football Operations run into their locker room like a little child while his players are bludgeoning ours. Not so tough anymore…I think he saw the people filming and nope’d out.
Also, where did the cop pick up the helmet? Assuming it’s Green’s or McBurrows’. He seems genuinely fascinated with it.
October 31st, 2022 at 4:32 PM ^
WOW! This is real bad. This must be some of the other videos that Harbaugh referenced in his press conference, although he mentioned in-house ones, not from ESPN. I see why he's so angry. This is sickening.
