He likely heard from Gattis how his "exit interview" went, heard it was like death, and then quickly decided he would prefer to not go through that same experience.

Honestly, can't blame him. I am not in favor of "revenge tactics," but these  coaches likely all became close if not only due to their relatability in their dealings with Saban. Gattis made it sound like that was one of the worst conversations he has had in his life, so I wouldn't blame Enos for not just wanting to avoid it but also wanting to stick it back to Saban. Eventually being a dick comes back to bite you.

Wow.   What a d-bag coward move.

Regardless of how much you, or Enos for that matter, detest Saban that is bush league move.    I’m not so sure I would want my son to play for someone that would role that way

Proud Gattis took the heat head on.

I’m saying it’s pretty shitty to not show up to a meeting you absolutely had to know was happening with a no show no call move?  It’s disrespectful to every single person in that room not just Saban.  I would not want to put my trust in him.

Who cares if guys jump at a better offer when opportunities are coming and going fast   That’s fine.   Man up and tell your boss.

Whats single L?

Maybe Enos saw how he treated Gattis or other Assistants that left and thought, "Why the F would I sit there and listen to his shit?  I don't have to do that anymore.   F him"

A persons history of behavior is a good predictor for future behavior.  Enos ditch Michigan after 6 weeks.  Did Saban really think he would show any different behavior for him?  If he did, shame on Saban.

At the end of the day, Saban got outcoached in the CFP.  Saban had the most talented team on paper in college football.  Saban will have the most talented team in college football in 2019 on paper.

I wouldn't say anything until the contract was signed either,  but I would have happily met with Saban once the deal was done. After a year of abuse I'd relish the chance to give some tough language right back to Saban.

Lol.  I mean I get choosing a place like Miami over Birmingham.

But cmon, my dude.  No showing a meeting....with Nick Saban....and not telling your boss....Nick Saban....know that you took another job?

Guess he saw the butt chewing Gattis got and took the cowards way out.

Enos may be a POS but not for this.  It appears he gave his resignation the same day as the staff meeting in question.  Most people don't tell their boss/employer when they are looking at other job opportunities.

I mean Nick Saban isn't exactly a joy to work with if his sideline antics are to be believed.  Still though, show some class Dan.  Be the bigger man.

"Douche discovers that fellow douche does douchey things. Film at 11."

It's kind of funny because it happened to Nick Saban, but also because Dan Enos now feels compelled to explain himself via Twitter.

Wish I could upvote you 1000 here...   a sparty through and through...…   you're right...what a POS.

I digress... must be brutal under Saban, for so many coaches to leave...

Slight thread-jack...but saban has lost how many asst coaches so far this off season?  If the guy really is the tool he seems to be, this may be his Waterloo.  Too many other good to great places to coach and advance than to have to deal with his bullshit.  He may be great, but he cannot do it on his own.
