Calling All Mods
Once again appealing to the Mods about banning Diagonal Blue. I can take some negativity, realism, or discerning argument, but my goodness this jerk is over the top. He intentionally submarines every thread and is starting to ruin the board experience. I am sure that he'll just create another persona, but it seems like his IP could be banned? IDK.

I have blocked Diagonal Blue and ScooterTooter. Those accounts are the same person. I am not opposed to dissenting negative opinions- I have some bad thoughts now too. There are many Michigan folks upset by a few recent events. I’m sure in time we will hear more about what caused these events. What these couple accounts are doing right now (DB & ST) is just pure trolling.
I had just blocked the accounts before you started the thread. I’m sure this won’t be the last we hear from this poster no matter which name is used.

It wouldn't help. An IP address doesn't really identify anyone. Some ISPs will provide someone with a new IP address extremely frequently (mobile ISPs in particular); meanwhile, that IP address gets recycled and so you end up banning the innocent.
That's even before you get into corporate networks. At my company, all Internet traffic is routed through a small number of outbound gateways. When I make requests from the office, my IP comes back to a location over a thousand miles away at our main campus, where it's in a pool that's shared with thousands of people.

Yep, all a user would have to do is restart their home modem and the router at the ISP would assign a new public IP address for that device.

Diagonal Blue was a doom and gloom poster who constantly went negative no matter what.
I'm a realistic poster. This means that sometimes your posts are going to align with the trolls because guess what? Sometimes things aren't great.
Of course, I was one of the few people who predicted after last season that we'd go at least 10-2 this year, but hey who cares? I must be Diagonal Blue because I agree with him that Michigan has lost a lot of talent from two big classes and I'm not sure the coaches can make up for it fast enough.

mgowill can you also delete the very offensive post? To ban them is fine but to leave up that post still inflicts the damage the poster intended. I am not for censorship but to specifically call out a players parent in that manner is crossing the line. We have no true idea what is going on with the player's lives and what is the basis for their decision.

I dont get why people interact with Diagonal Maizen. It was obvious months ago and even more obvious now. He wants to get people riled up. Its what he does. He is a concern troll. This post has likely made him cream his pants. This is like the golden troll nugget; a post directly about him. Where is the mod squad to ban these trolls. I don't mind bloggers bringing up potential problems with the program or we don't always have to be rah, rah Michigan. But a lot of these new posters are just so negative. I liked the old rules where you had to earn at least 1,000 points to start posting. Back in the early 2000s I remember the old Ann Arbor News blog that became mlive. Back then it was a place where people could go and talk about UM sports. But after 2006, the trolls invaded and the place became a shit hole. I've never been back to mlive. We are not reaching that point here but over time if the trolls start flocking here and posting everything negative about Michigan football it will not be a fun place to be.

Why can't people just ignore him and stop replying to his posts/threads? If you want to talk about what is making the board unreadable it is the 20-30+ chains of comments from people complaining about him in thread after thread, sometimes without him even posting in a thread.
It is really simple, stop interacting with him and you have maybe 1 or 2 of his posts that you have to scroll past in a thread but because some people here have zero self control they derail every topic he posts about or they think he will post about while complaining that he is ruining the board, completely ignoring their own actions.
