If I was on someone's lawn and was told to get off?  Well then I got off.  If my dad found out about me being disrespectful to another parent, there would be hell to pay.

Back in the day, when other parents complained about our bad behavior, our parents didn't blindly defend their child.  And with good cause, we were assholes and usually did worse than being reported.

Can confirm.  Grandmothers are the best!  Grandfathers too.

I give Magnus credit to have the bravery to admit what we all secretly would love to have in our bedrooms.

Did you just claim that the NFL is pure and not corrupt?  That has to be the most naive and moronic comments I have read on this blog.  No doubt that the talent level in the NFL is better but the product is boring and devoid of excitement from my viewpoint.

For someone who hates college football you sure have posted many comments relating to said subject.

I don't think it is a joke at all.  You have to recognize that a P5 team has much more talent and has the resources to mitigate te few top level players on a CMU level team..  It doesn't mean he is not a talented player but doesn't have the support around him to keep his game match ups reasonable.  A MSU could easily double team him and totally negate his effectiveness.

The comments associated with the tweet are quite interesting and clearly favor the football team.  Seems like I have heard this type of reaction from PU fans before... just cant put my finger on when....

01/11/2019 - 10:29am That is true, but don't…

That is true, but don't forget he will have several decades of coaching experience around to support him.  So it isn't like he will be running in the dark.

To me the bigger picture is Harbaugh saw the need for change and did it.  I would bet our friends in East Lansing would not be able to make that same claim.

Let's be honest here.  After a certain age a ball lifter should be a standard accessory.

I agree.  I bet the people on this board having a pity party will be ecstatic.  People were upset when Durkin left and he was replaced by someone better.  I suspect that will be the same in this case.

Well don't forget LF is from Detroit and could possibly help solidify recruiting in that area.

MindlessChaos you make it sound like Mattison had some secret sauce that no one else possesses.  Just like when Durkin left, Harbaugh upgraded the DC position, and he will do it again with the DL position.

I totally agree.  We had an opportunity to schedule someone in an area to gain more exposure - like an Arkansas.  Let's expand our footprint.

12/27/2018 - 11:39am Magnus,

Magnus,

what is your take away impression after this post?  The Stanford total is crazy compared to the others.  But yet they still field a very competitive team.

Mr. umbig11 your contributions are appreciated and I enjoy reading your posts!!

12/20/2018 - 12:00pm Yes the RB depth is thin,…

Yes the RB depth is thin, but it just might force the coaches to increase the passing attempts.  And that plays to the strength of the offense with the fleet of WR's.

12/20/2018 - 11:29am My uneducated opinion based…

My uneducated opinion based on observation is he is in much need to bulk up.  He looked rather small compared to the other DL.  He looked rather small compared to Hutchinson.

I know someone will spew some stats on his listed weight but, like I said, just based on observation.  Plus I wouldn't bet too much on the height and weight as provided by the school.

12/20/2018 - 11:10am I look at it as now Karan…

I look at it as now Karan will not be taking reps away from players expected to contribute next year.  So this game and the preparation just became VERY important to players looking to make their mark for next year.

I wish all the players moving on best of luck and hope they excel at their next stop.

12/19/2018 - 12:12pm Any doubts about his speed…

Any doubts about his speed are clearly disproved at the 4:22 mark where he runs down the receiver.  So glad he chose the right program to showcase his skills.

12/18/2018 - 11:55am mgowill can you also delete…

mgowill can you also delete the very offensive post?  To ban them is fine but to leave up that post still inflicts the damage the poster intended.  I am not for censorship but to specifically call out a players parent in that manner is crossing the line.  We have no true idea what is going on with the player's lives and what is the basis for their decision.

12/18/2018 - 11:20am 91 I don't think 'entitled…

91 I don't think 'entitled pussies' is hardly an accurate statement.  In order to get a college scholarship at a top tier program, those players have put in countless hours in the weight room and practice field.  They have attended camps and often hire personal trainers to achieve their max potential.  Then once they get to campus they are surrounded by other top level talent.  They go from king of the hill at high school to just another fish in the pond.  They have many things they have to manage outside football - classes, parties, girls, etc.  Then after a period of time a player may discover that the passion that they once had for the game has disappeared.  So many factors come into a players life on campus that football can become a  secondary focus.

Then factor in all the health risk playing the sport and you can see that 'entitled pussies' falls way short of an accurate description of today's modern athlete.

I agree with skurnie.  I heard nothing but praise for Webber.  Great to have a star back home.

Also, he appeared to be very happy to be there and we taking pictures with several people.  And at no time did he appear to be put off doing so.

Should not their press release state "OSU investigation into Meyer's innocence to be competed in 14 days"?

Is this where I post TL:DR?

I don't have the attention span to read all his 'facts'.  I will wait for someone to post the Readers Digest version.

04/19/2018 - 9:56am I don't think you ever publicly embarrass someone

that you need to help achieve your goals.  I found in my years in business a manager that publicly criticises someone tends to be a poor manager and does not have the respect of their people.  Public embarrassment is a de-motivator.

04/19/2018 - 9:48am So sorry for your loss.

Fuck cancer!

04/11/2018 - 9:46am The insight on Wrestlemania III

and how just how bad physically Andre was at that time.  And to allow Hulk Hogan to body slam him showed how unselfish Andre was.  His story comes off as tragic but he did get to lead a pretty awesome life all things considered.

02/02/2018 - 10:49am I agree.

How many times have we heard that a young QB is only given 'part of the playbook' to operate?  Using that same logic, would the coaches want to dumb down the playbook for all young players on offense?    NFL coaches have the luxury of coaching players that have many more year of understanding the complexities of football.  Kids out of high school, not so much.

01/19/2018 - 10:33am Simon needs to go on record

and explain what she knew and when.  More importantly, what did she do to fix the environment for which Nassar was allow to operate for so long.  The Nassar's of the world exist because the environment they operate allows them to do what they do.  For decades he did what he did because the there were not procedures in place to stop people like him.

01/17/2018 - 10:49am I love the Concept 2 our gym has

the only problem is when the d-bags from the crossfit studio next door borrow them and dont return them.  Apparently they are too tired from their massive gainz from all the selfies they take while talking about their next lift.  Keyword is talking because I never see them doing any actual lifting.

I dont have a problem with crossfitters in general just the ones that borrow equipment and dont return it when done.

01/15/2018 - 10:58am Great job Sam

Way to demonstrate what a great athlete you are.

01/03/2018 - 10:57am Thank you umbig11

you are one of the few posters that I lok forward to reading.  I look forward to your future posts!

01/03/2018 - 10:54am Who replaces McCray

The Hurst replacement seems settled but not sure who takes over for McCray.

Best guess?

12/20/2017 - 11:13am Great News!

Way to start out the new year with a bang!

11/16/2017 - 10:56am Adam

Way to represent Indian Hill!!

09/27/2017 - 12:46pm WTF Am I the only one with an actual to-do list?

I will start off the weekend hauling up bricks onto the roof and replacing the chimney.... And it will be my birthday!  But on the bright side I will probably lose a few pounds.

FYI the wife wants new bricks instead of reusing the old.  Hence the task of hauling of 120 bricks to the second level.

09/27/2017 - 12:13pm Bro-ham reminds me of

the old Illini coach Mike White.  Come in and use dirty tactics with inferior players.  If works at first but soon opponents adjust.  All Brohm will be is a flash in the pan.

First time watching a punter recruit videos - check.

The week is off to a good start.

makes an appearance in Episode #3.

05/10/2017 - 12:35pm Good Question

I will be taking meds for the balance of my life that simulates the thyroid production.

05/09/2017 - 10:29am Better and worse at the same time!

At age 55, a torn meniscus last fall started the decline.  The knee repair led to other issues and finally in January I began exercising again.  Since a few pounds appeared during the rehab I decided to concentrate on cardio.  I would row, elliptical, or bike 45 minutes and then weight train.  So I was getting stronger but not shedding any fat!!  Come to find out my thyroid decided to quit working and then i spent the next few months trying to get the thyroid levels where they need to be.  So my strength gains have been nice, I have yet to shed any pounds.  And no it is not the 'muscle is heaver that fat' situation since I measure my waist and no reduction.  So with a cruise set for this fall I am working out in some form every day with the goal to lose 40 lbs by this fall.

Getting old really sucks if you dont get ahead of any body issues earlier because it sure gets harder when you get older!  That is my advice to all you whipper snappers!

Now get off my neatly groomed lawn!

04/28/2017 - 10:55am I was waiting for Mel Kiper to complain

that he didnt list Taco as a first rounder. Am I the only one who would like to fist fight Mel?  I cant stand the man.  I will give him credit for memorizing all the player stats but that is all he knows.  Sometimes I think Gruden is about to knock off his block.

04/28/2017 - 10:50am Drafted or sentenced?

That is a better question.

04/28/2017 - 10:49am I could think of other clowns I would get rid of first

I cant watch ESPN anymore.  Either their shows are pundits yelling over each other or they sit around acting like fools.  My WTF moment was when I watched about 30 seconds of "Come on man" bit with Chris Carter.  And dont get me started with Stephen Ahole Smith!

04/28/2017 - 10:43am Is any of that contract guaranteed?

Seems like on the next NFLPA agreement they should work on getting contracts with higher guaranteed portions considering what they put their bodies through over their careers.

04/28/2017 - 10:38am Best wishes

and hope you realize your goals with your basketball career.

04/28/2017 - 10:31am The comments on the MSU board

were pure gold!!  The very first comment stating if MM returned what a special defense they would have in 2017 just made me read more comments and smile from ear to ear!

04/06/2017 - 11:53am OK I admit

Magnus' comment made me laugh out loud.  I was getting read for a minor dust up and come to find out matrch.com really works.

02/09/2017 - 1:34pm I agree.

Plus it wasnt even remotely funny.
