Apparently the coaches, who were right about Higdon when people were in favor of Evans, and were right about JBB/Runyan when we wanted Mayfield and Hudson, see something worthwhile in putting Evans out there. He's still a good RB. Hasn't gotten a lot of the space to exploit where he's at his best, but that's kind of how our offense is this year. Remember, like in the Orange Bowl, it only takes one key play for him to break something open.
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:19 PM ^
Michigan just beat a ranked team 3 weeks in a row.
no B10 team has done that since...... 1997
November 3rd, 2018 at 8:38 PM ^
But we played Evans so Harbaugh sucks and was outcoached again.
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:19 PM ^
I think this is the best team Michigan has had since 2006. I think Harbaugh has his team, has found an identity, and the running into the line was just to beat the pulp out of Penn State. I would have loved a blow out sooner, but no one can say this was not dominating. This team is so fun to watch and the Don Brown defense is the best I’ve ever watched. End of extremely happy rant!
November 3rd, 2018 at 9:53 PM ^
2016 was better than 2006.the 2016 team has become underrated by a lot of fans. That team was so good, and was inches from the playoffs
November 3rd, 2018 at 11:44 PM ^
I think this team is better than the 2006 and 2016 teams.
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:25 PM ^
Loved the shot at the end of the game when Penn State scored and Down Brown slowly soured looking at the replay
November 3rd, 2018 at 10:07 PM ^
Reminds me of ‘97. We were ip 34-0. PSU scores late. The defense was pissed in post-game interviews.
November 4th, 2018 at 6:42 AM ^
I loved that too. I love that this team makes you earn every single inch.
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:26 PM ^
Penn State Scored! Fire everyone! Lol James Franklin
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:29 PM ^
Fuck yes, fuck yes!! Go Blue!!
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:36 PM ^
That last TD was vintage RPO. Replay showed that Shea was staring down LB and then pulled for pass once LB committed to RB. A whole new dimension awaits....
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:34 PM ^
Fantastic.

TRAP GAMES COMING
@Rutgers and v. Indiana look like minor games before The Game, but I bet one or both of them is scary for a while.
Look back at 2006, Ball State scared us and in 2016 we went to Iowa and lost and Indiana gave us all we could handle.
Not like we as fans need to be focused. Just something to prepare for emotionally.
November 3rd, 2018 at 8:35 PM ^
There is no chance in hell Rutgers is a trap game. Rutgers is terrible at football.
Indiana though has trap written on it. I’m glad that’s a home game.
November 3rd, 2018 at 11:17 PM ^
I’m glad it’s Senior Day and after, not before, the Rutgers game.
I’m not saying Michigan would lose at Indiana if they were to play next week, but it might be uncomfortably close. As it stands, I don’t for a moment think that Chase, Karan, and the myriad of other seniors and early-entry candidates will crap the bed in their last game at the Big House.
November 3rd, 2018 at 8:44 PM ^
Agreed. Indiana is to Michigan what Purdue is to OSU. A game that should be won easily... but is frequently a nail bitter.
November 3rd, 2018 at 9:16 PM ^
Except that Purdue actually beats OSU
November 4th, 2018 at 1:15 AM ^
Except Indiana hasn't handed us our asses like Purdue did to OSU last month. Otherwise, same same.
November 4th, 2018 at 12:02 AM ^
People downvoting...this season is different because you want it to be different, right? Someone said Urban isn't even gonna be on the sideline vs. UM because they lost to Purdue and the whole program is going to shit. Come back to earth.
Just humble yourself down for once.
November 4th, 2018 at 4:07 AM ^
If you don’t want to get downvoted, I recommend not suggesting that a game at Rutger is a trap game. If you’d stuck to the Indiana game, you probably would have been safe. I still disagree, as I already stated, but it’s your Rutger take that’s buying your troubles.
November 4th, 2018 at 11:03 AM ^
Why do you assume the team doesn’t see Indiana and Rutgers as part of the revenge tour? Last year Indiana took us to OT, which I’m sure pisses off the team. Rutgers is our biggest (New Jersey) rival and that’s big because a lot of the team is playing in front of their families and friends. No way they want to look bad in front of them. Therefore, neither are trap games because they ARE part of the revenge tour.
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:40 PM ^
I do wish we saw more from the passing game, but seriously, who am I to complain about a 42-7 win? I’m splitting hairs, really.
Harbaugh is a great coach. Don Brown is a fucking genius.
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:44 PM ^
Some smart playcalls. Screen was a great call (Shea durped it). Team looked ready to play and on edge until the very end.
Fantastic job by the staff.
November 4th, 2018 at 2:20 AM ^
Shea had to get it over a defender. If Higdon doesn't unnecessarily jump, that falls in his lap and picks up a ton of yards.
November 4th, 2018 at 4:53 AM ^
Agreed. On the call, Herbie tried to put that on Shea for being impatient. I think it was actually Higdon who was impatient. He saw the ball up high an panicked a little. If he had not jumped at all, or at least timed his jump better, that play hits.
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:47 PM ^
Tarik Black gives you more opportunities for downfield throws. I hope they open this part of the playbook more.
November 3rd, 2018 at 9:16 PM ^
Not until Columbus.
November 4th, 2018 at 11:20 AM ^
I want to agree with you but I feel Tarik needs in game reps to get chemistry and timing with Shea right
November 4th, 2018 at 3:33 PM ^
What? “My guy is faster than your guy” isn’t exactly a trick play or wrinkle. Getting that on tape forces teams to respect it, which will open up things underneath.
November 3rd, 2018 at 9:52 PM ^
He absolutely clowned the CB checking him on his non-TD catch. Great to have him back.
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:47 PM ^
Thrilled beyond measure. Dominance on both sides of the ball is beginning to resemble Michigan of 20 years ago.
Concerned a bit about Nordin's psyche and hope he's locked in when we really need him.
November 4th, 2018 at 3:55 AM ^
Yes.This. Although the block wasn’t on him, right? That felt like a flaw Penn State had seen on film and prepared for.
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:51 PM ^
Just looked up our record under Harbaugh. This year's eight-game win streak is his best since winning the first nine of 2016, and to that you can add the 2015 bowl game for ten in a row. We should be able to equal/break those marks the next two weeks, and of course winning The Game would make for 11 straight if it happens.
By the way, if you're curious, his best streak at Stanford was the last eight games of the 2010 season (his final at the school), the one where they went 12-1 with their only loss to the Oregon team that went to the BCS title game.
So yeah, I'd say year four is going just fine for Jim.
November 3rd, 2018 at 10:35 PM ^
Just beat OSU!!
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:55 PM ^
The pick six was great because it was Franklin trying to be cute and have his running freshman quarterback throw the ball. I know he wasn’t getting much from Mcsorley but that was just set up for failure
November 3rd, 2018 at 8:19 PM ^
I honestly don't think that was such a bad call. He's getting killed with his starter, his starter is also getting killed by the Michigan pass rush, so why not try the backup who will probably be his starter next year?
Stevens ended up completing his other 3 passes. He wasn't going to lead a comeback even without the pick six, but McSorely wasn't either.
November 3rd, 2018 at 8:49 PM ^
Stevens is a RS JR
November 4th, 2018 at 12:46 AM ^
Brandon Watson is winning the Mega Millions on these pick sixes. Seems like anyone in the defense could be the beneficiary but it's Watson raking in the jackpots. And Lavert on that one v Wiscy but still. Good on ya, Brandon.
November 4th, 2018 at 1:34 AM ^
Chris Petersen at Washington did the same with his 4th year starting QB last week, pulled him out of a struggling game inserted Fr. backup. Result: first pass a pick six. lost the game as a result of that play.
November 3rd, 2018 at 8:12 PM ^
A public flaying that could have been even crueler. I'll take that every damn day.
November 3rd, 2018 at 8:23 PM ^
He was determined to not be Field Goal Franklin today.
November 3rd, 2018 at 8:45 PM ^
We have elite coaching across the board. Loved the Don Brown experience today. Our throw game doesnt look elite at this point, but it should as the skill play catches up to the opportunities they're presented with.
This team is awesome, I love Harbaugh
November 3rd, 2018 at 9:11 PM ^
I'm not a coach and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn but I hope the real coaches rest Gary and Solomon the next couple weeks. I'd also limit Higdon to 5-7 carries a game before OSU.
November 3rd, 2018 at 10:00 PM ^
Rutgers and Indiana aren’t great but I still want 30 point wins in both so rest them once we’re up 35-0. Can’t wait for November 24!
November 3rd, 2018 at 10:00 PM ^

That’s a recipe for going into the OSU game rusty, even if they do win both games.
Also, you let Higdon get his 100 yards. (Admittedly, he might do that against Rutgers in 5-7 carries. Or 2).
They’ll get some rest, but they’ll also get enough game reps to stay sharp.
November 3rd, 2018 at 9:58 PM ^
Warriner is a life saver and Don Brown is a king! Pay this man more he has earned it. As for Harbaugh we knew what he was but many were frustrated. Let’s put our frustrations to rest and take it out on osu GO BLUE!!
