Why does this not surprise me?

You CANNOT overestimate Urb's recruiting ability.  That will be the most difficult thing to replicate. If he can't do that, their success won't be sustainable.   Time will tell.....

Agreed.  With our luck, they'll get someone like Bob Stoops to come out of retirement...

Edit - this was supposed to be a reply to Rutgerland's post.

11/03/2018 - 7:40pm Yes - I saw that too!  Shea…

Yes - I saw that too!  Shea reading the LB and pulled the last second to pass.  That will be deadly since he ran it quite a bit at Ole Miss.

That last TD was vintage RPO.  Replay showed that Shea was staring down LB and then pulled for pass once LB committed to RB.  A whole new dimension awaits....

Live down here in Atlanta and going to see my friend’s band tonight.  House drink when they play is called the 7-7-0 .  2 shots of Seagram’s 7 and Coke (or Sprite) Zero.

You'd think Damon Evans would've learned his lesson.  He was the Assistant AD down here at UGA when he got caught with his pants down with a woman (other than his wife) in his car and was relieved of his duties.

07/19/2018 - 4:09pm I almost spit out my drink…

I almost spit out my drink here at work when I read "cyclone of suck" - can I borrow that term?  That might be the most accurately concise description I've seen on our QB play last year. Kudos!

03/29/2018 - 9:16am Thanks for the info.

and quick response.

03/29/2018 - 9:14am Perfect - thanks so much!

In town from Atlanta this weekend - wanted to find a decent place to watch other than my hotel- thanks a ton!

03/11/2018 - 1:03pm While it would not surprise me,

The stench of the Jim Harrick years still linger here with the B-ball program. The optics of hiring Pitino would not be good...but stranger things have happened.

kudos for the Tin Cup reference.

11/20/2017 - 3:35pm Digging the suit as well as

the Block M bowtie and vest - where did you get those?  Might have to splurge on them for the various football parties that will take place down here in SEC country.

10/23/2017 - 10:46am I would agree

with you there!

10/23/2017 - 10:34am Great Grantland Article Here in How Harbaugh "Simplified"

the offense for Alex Smith in SF.

To summarize:

- Harbaugh created a series of simple "anti-Blitz" passes/reads for Smith that allowed him to make easy reads when the bullets were flying and move the sticks.

I don't think it's arrogance, just the fact that we haven't seen anything like this for our team.  As other posters have said - it's 3rd and 6 and they showed on TV how all of our receivers were running "4 verticals" type routes and the middle of the field was WIDE OPEN and not one receiver was in that area.  I don't know if that is someone running a wrong route, or by design.

Again, don't know if it is too many cooks in the kitchen, but I don't think any of us thought the offense would be this disjointed and floundering the way it is.

10/10/2017 - 1:28pm I think we might be missing Wheatley as RB coach

more than we think.  To your point, there were at least 2 of those interceptions where the RB went to the left side of the pocket and completely vacated the area where the LB came through the line.  I always remeber Wheatley saying that the back that can block the best will play the most.  There is a reason Deveon played as much as he did the last couple of years - he was money (for the most part) picking up blitzes and helping protect the QB.

09/27/2017 - 1:50pm That GIF So Succinctly highlights the difference...

between JOK's & Speight's delivery and throwing motion.  JOK's looks smooth and effortless while Speight has this almost wonky, loopy delivery.

09/06/2017 - 2:15pm The Thing that stands out to me the most is Bush's

closing speed and his nose for the ball.  Can't wait to see the UFR...

09/06/2017 - 2:06pm Karan Higdon's running style reminds me of

Senior year Chris Perry the way he moved his feet.

03/30/2017 - 3:15pm To Brian's Point - I Just Checked Bosch's Bio...

I did not realize he made Big 12 All-Conference 1st Team at West Virginia.  I'm glad he was able to get things in order and good luck to him.

02/27/2017 - 4:39pm I was there from 89-93..

That freshmen class, if I remember correctly, had Chris Tamer, Dave Roberts, Patrick Neaton, etc. and they all lived over in Williams Hall when I was in Rumsey.  I went to high school with the Stone brothers - Don was a couple of years older and Mike was a year younger.  That team also had Denny Felsner and they started to get things cranking when I was there.

02/24/2017 - 8:11am Great Read!

I really enjoy these - thanks for all of your efforts!

01/12/2017 - 4:04pm Fantastic Story!

I really enjoy all of these - keep up the great work!

12/30/2016 - 12:21pm You are correct -- ACC is killing it!

12/15/2016 - 10:13am This should replace the "Do not be deceived"

banner tag at the top of the page.

12/01/2016 - 3:47pm Zander Diamont Just quit the team the other day...

he decided not to go back for his 5th year.  I wonder if this was partly the reason.

11/14/2016 - 2:06pm On the Safety, It looks like Hill Goes to the Left

where there are already blockers and should have gone right?  There is a huge hole on the right side it looks like he is supposed to be the lead blocker.  I don't know enough about the play, but it clearly looks like Kalis' main responsiblity is the second level.

EDIT - can't quite tell here b/c both Cole and Kalis release to second level.  Did Smith maybe go the wrong way?

11/05/2016 - 6:47am Coffee this morning....

10 mile hike with my 3 boys at 9, and a little grocery shopping before kick-off.

10/11/2016 - 1:06pm I thought the same thing....

it looks like McCray is doing an updated version of a scrape exchange.  For those more knowledgable, is there some sort of constraint RPO to counter this?

09/12/2016 - 9:00am I thought I read somewhere that they have a NEW OC

and he is a Leach/AirRaid disciple.

08/31/2016 - 7:27pm 49-3

08/29/2016 - 8:53am If I remember correctly,

Perry also lost about 10-15 lbs during the offseason and came back looking much quicker than previous years.  Hopefully Isaac follows the same trajectory.

07/14/2016 - 8:44am Survived a 97% Blockage of The LAD (Widowmaker)

I used to do triathalons and found out the hard way that I had a 97% blockage of the LAD artery and 90%+ blockage in another.  As a result, I  had 2 stents put in when I was 41 (4 years ago).  Interestingly, due to the training, I passed all of my stress tests and they did not find the blockage until they went in to do an exploratory heart cath.

07/07/2016 - 1:43pm Just A Thought, But Do You Think Harbaugh Had A Say

in any of this?  My initial thought was Harbaugh approved this and this is him giving Bert the middle finger for his almost mocking reaction to the satellite camps earlier this year.  Let's face it, Arkansas benefits more than us in playing each other since we are the higher profile program. UM-ND moves the needle way more than UM-AR.  I also agree with you that there are still may be more changes TBA.

07/07/2016 - 12:05pm Conflicting Reports - This Article Says 2018 Game in Ann Arbor

AP is reporting that 2018 game is in Ann Arbor, then next sentence says differently.......
