They actually have a very nice campus. I have been to many of the colleges down south and it has to be up there as one of the best.
People are pretty friendly there and the fan base is die hard (though also alittle unrealistic)

Must've been Bielma's huge gut that convinced him.
December 2nd, 2013 at 3:22 PM ^
no way, it was the man-tits.
December 2nd, 2013 at 2:51 PM ^
Strange choice, but oh well. This kid is a huge unknowd, could be an all american or might never see the field....
December 2nd, 2013 at 2:52 PM ^
I was goign to blame our bad season for this, but Arkansas had a much worse season than we did? So...ummm...idk?
December 2nd, 2013 at 3:04 PM ^
WE DIDN'T HAVE A BAD ENOUGH SEASON! FIRE EVERYONE!
[EDIT]: Also, good luck young man.
December 2nd, 2013 at 2:52 PM ^
Dammit! I knew our in conference record would hurt us in the recruiting trail!
December 2nd, 2013 at 2:57 PM ^
Maybe they read right to left in Denmark and he saw 0-8 as 8-0.
December 2nd, 2013 at 4:08 PM ^
The Hogs are 0-8 in the SEC.
December 2nd, 2013 at 4:14 PM ^
I had stopped paying attention to the Hogs awhile ago and had no idea of their SEC futility. Welcome to the big time, Bret!
December 2nd, 2013 at 4:15 PM ^
I think his name is Bert.

This makes sense because... .... .... .... Ok, I got nothing.
December 2nd, 2013 at 3:04 PM ^
Well that sucks.
December 2nd, 2013 at 3:07 PM ^
Arkansas has been a debacle ever since #karma and I love it
December 2nd, 2013 at 3:40 PM ^
players still commit to us affter 2008. I think you change your pitch when you are losing. "You can start immediately for us!" "You will be the star!" Sort of like the Penn State recruiting....
December 2nd, 2013 at 3:08 PM ^
Honestly, I think his arms are to(o) short. My honest evaluation...but good luck to him nevertheless.
December 2nd, 2013 at 3:20 PM ^
with pad level as well.
December 2nd, 2013 at 4:09 PM ^
What about his legs? Are they short like Ray Vinopal?
December 2nd, 2013 at 4:48 PM ^
And he looks like he is 55 years old in the face.
/too soon?

Just needs a shallow hulled ship to sail up from Illinois in.
December 2nd, 2013 at 3:20 PM ^
Can we have a positive story on the board next? These last two posts have depressed me badly....
December 2nd, 2013 at 3:23 PM ^
arkansas, the denmark of the US.

Most fat jokes on this board are pretty obvious and lazy - this however does not fit that mold. Nice work.
December 2nd, 2013 at 3:30 PM ^
Borges' fault.

December 2nd, 2013 at 4:04 PM ^
Brandon: "We recruit from Cali to New Jersey"
Froholdt: Looks at map, realizes Denmark is not between those two and says "Froholdt it, I'm going to Arkansas"
December 2nd, 2013 at 3:31 PM ^
Not for nothin' guys, but it seems a little odd to be making fun of Bielema for being overweight.
December 2nd, 2013 at 4:15 PM ^
Hoke has always been big. Bielema was really skinny at one point. That's why it's funny, I think.
December 2nd, 2013 at 4:24 PM ^
Maybe so - but we've all seen his wife. I think he wins.
December 2nd, 2013 at 4:50 PM ^
She's a real gem...until she opens her gaping yap. Mrs. Hoke is the kindest lady you'll ever want to meet.

That just proves the world is a shitty place.

Hot women being attracted to men with money proves the world is a shitty place?

I believe this means we will face Froholdt then when we play Arkansas in the OOC schedule in a few years. I would be curious to see how he looks with a couple years in the system down there, because the film on him looked pretty good, I thought. In any case, good luck to him down in Arkansas.

Thanks for the clarification, is there anyone who you think might get an offer now that hasn't previously? I'm assuming Tim Settle is more of a 3-tech so maybe not him, but overall I just wondered what your thoughts were.
December 2nd, 2013 at 4:25 PM ^
Settle being a 3-tech would make him a perfect replacement for Froholdt. When Magnus (or others) say "DT" that usually refers to the 3-tech, where as NT would refer to a 1-tech tackle.
December 2nd, 2013 at 5:23 PM ^
Actually, I think Settle looks more like a nose tackle, but he could play either the 1-tech or the 3-tech.
Names I've heard bandied about as potential tackle offerees include Anthony Rush (NC) and Mississippi State commit T.D. Moton (LA).
There's also a guy named Rasheem Greene who attends high school with Dwight Williams and Adoree' Jackson out in California, Darvin Taylor (VA), and Elijah Taylor (OH), who seem like possibilities based on the way Michigan has recruited in recent years.
December 2nd, 2013 at 5:47 PM ^
Any thoughts on how we've played the recruiting game with Settle? Seems like we pretty clearly saw him as a 2nd option. It doesnt always play out well for us when a aim for someone who knows they were the 2nd option it seems
December 2nd, 2013 at 6:06 PM ^
I don't know if I would say that. In the recruiting game, it rarely plays out well, period. Teams take roughly 20-25 kids per class, but Michigan offers 130-200 guys or so every recruiting cycle.
Guys like Dan Samuelson, Reon Dawson, Tamani Carter, Roy Roundtree, Russell Bellomy, etc. were clearly second options. They still ended up as Wolverines.
I don't really know that we're playing a recruiting game with Settle. From what I've gathered, Michigan just isn't very interested in him. They invited him to come along with Hand because...why not? But it doesn't really seem like they're stringing him along while other guys decide. I could be wrong. For all I know, they might offer him tomorrow now that Froholdt is off the board. But signs so far point to Settle being a ways down the list, or perhaps not even on Michigan's board.
