I just love Scoot giving him the staredown, I wish we could see what he was saying back to him.
The best part of this has to be Caporusso giving him the finger right back haha!
GO BLUE! ONE MORE WIN!
That was really nice of him to remind us what the score was.
I love Hunwick. NO HETERO
That was simply awesome...I could barely watch the last 10 mins. Recharge the batteries boys, we do it all again on Saturday!!!!!!!

<br>Coach Red for prez!!!
Got up at 2:30am (living in Sweden temporarily) to watch the game via whatever internet stream I could find, and it was 100% pure pixelated Colombian awesome. Today is going to be the best 9 hours of work with no sleep (well, about two hours thanks to the Masters as well) I've ever done. And I get to do it all over again Sunday morning! Woooooooooo!!!!!
where in sweden? i am actually, as my moniker states, a wolverswede. not many people head that way.
I'm living in Västerås on a job assignment (only through the end of June most likely). I came over the same night we played Colorado College and managed to hijack the wireless in the Stockholm-Arlanda airport long enough to find out the score and celebrate in front of a plane worth of confused Europeans at 8am in the passport control line.
You mean the entire country of Sweden was not riveted to uber-Swede Carl Hagelin and his magical quest for immortality? I'm confused, i thought his appearance in the Frozen Four was a national holiday or something. Or at least that's what learned from MGoBlog message boards.
It makes me sad when I tell people about his conquests in Ann Arbor (and elsewhere in the college hockey landscape) and they have no idea who he is. All they ask me is if he'll play in the NHL when he's done with college.
Maybe if I travel to Södertälje (roughly an hour away from where I am) they'll have an idea of who he is, but since he never played in the Elitserien, he's probably very much an under-the-radar guy to all but the most die hard Swedish hockey fans. Though I'm trying to drum up interest in him amongst my co-workers by bringing him up in conversation as much as possible.
Today is the best day ever. Locked down an internship at NASA this summer, and I got to see us win in a national semifinal game while drinking siroop wafel liqueur from the Netherlands that my mom picked up for me. Also lots of beers. I can't see straight. Like I said, best day ever.
Also, my roommate is a badass. He's cool. Take my word for it.
I'm currently waiting on NASA to tell me if I have a spot or not.
It's difficult to not celebrate right now. I've had one drink in the past month and senior design and a project class finish out in the middle of next week.
I'll do my level best to contain what I'm feeling now and hold it in for two weeks. Then I'll probably drink for 40 hours straight.
Ah. I only got it becuase my cousin works there and knew someone that was looking for a CS intern. Good luck! Where are you applying for? I'll be at Ames in Mountain View.
Not only a giant insectosaur, but also quite humble. Bravo, BlockM. Bra-vo.
Haha. Literally, I talked to him, he talked to another guy who needed an intern and voila. Can't wait though, I've never been to California, and looking at the forecasts from Mountain View lately I think I'll survive in that climate.
Dude, you're gonna walk on the moon. That's awesome.
When you go, will you write "DUE was here" in the lunar dust?
Absolutely.
My wife used to work at Ames and we lived in Mountain View. Hit the Tied House for some after work drinking (I'm sure your co-workers will take you there). Plenty of great activities in the area during the summer. Stanford is about 5 miles away and the city of Palo Alto is really nice. Monterey/Carmel is 90 minutes away. Have a great summer.
a breakfast place called "The Stacks" in Menlo Park. It's worth the trip.
Stack's in Redwood City was my oldest son's first public appearance.
Also try Hobee's in Palo Alto.
Wouldn't the hospital have been his first public appearance? Unless you're so old school and badass you used a midwife.
I have a cousin at Boeing, but he can't do shit to help me out and neither can my cousin at NAVSEA. I'm Aerospace, anyway, so the industry apparently hates me.
I applied for 9 spots at Goddard (and yes, the lady friend's presence in DC for the summer did indeed influence this), a couple of spots at Kennedy, one at Houston, and one at White Sands in Las Cruces (which would be awesome for field work, but in the middle of BFE).
I'm gonna be honest, I know jack shit about aerospace engineering. I'll be working on air-traffic control computer-sciency stuff. I've been to White Sands though, and the sand is indeed white. (I didn't see any actual facilities there, just the sand.) You don't notice the B-2's flying over you until they're already gone, which every Michigan fan at the big chill would know now I guess.
MANPUCK.
Go Blue. One more.

In the voice of Col. Klink "HUNWICK!!!!"
I bet ND (ntND) fans wish they saw nothing - nothing!
One of Hunwick's 40 saves..... #10 on Sportscenter Top 10..... Wooohooo!!!!
hunwick in the espn top 10! college hockey in the top 10!? UNHEARD OF
100% Pure Colombian Awesome:
- Hunwick.
- Team ability to quickly clear the zone. There were only two scary moments in the final period, around 6 minutes and the of course the final minute before the empty netter where UND got wicked repetitive looks.
- Red and his gameplan. Lockdown BABY!
- The lesser, not as talented, outclassed, outmanned team WON! Take that Barry, eh!
I don't think I make it through this game without Scotch. On to the Final! Go Blue!
Anyone know if there's a replay of that game available? Espn2 at Midnight doesnt show jack
or a bit torrent......
Guess what dad is naming the puppy?
HUNWICK!
is a REAL AMERICAN hero!!!
FUCK YOU NORTH FUCKING DAKOTA I HATE YOU MOTHERFUCKERS SO FUCKING MUCH AND I AM SUPER SUPER EXICTED THAT THE RED RIVER IS ABOUT TO FLOOD MORE THAN USUAL AND, GOD WILLING, IT WILL WIPE THE RALPH OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH.
MUPPETS MUPPETS MUPPETS
Little over the top, even if they are stupid enough to keep building next to river that regularly floods. That said, I genuinely hope their sandbags are more effective than their goaltending.
and the walk on who just wanted to play hockey for the Maize and Blue will hoist a championship cup. Outstanding.
Please Michigan, we're not done just yet.....JUST WIN
highlights are already up. watch them. watch them 100 times

5 watchings so far. I bet I can get to 100 by sunup.
HUNWICK FOR THE WIN
If Michigan musters the same condidence and swagger for the next game that the Immortal Russian Heartthrob Edward Khil displays in this video, victory is all but assured.
Hey, Shawn Hunwick, here's your turtle back, safe and sound.
WTF! That was an amazing goal tending performance. HUNWICK=Standing on his head!
HUNWICK -- THE MANPUCK EMERGES.......................
Now: one for the other thumb.
champ10nship
That's my guess for the headline of Sunday's paper
