A die hard Lakers fan from Michigan. How cute.

02/23/2014 - 12:26am No, but I think it's a bit

No, but I think it's a bit odd to say that Milwaukee supports an NFL team from 116 miles away. The Packers haven't played in Milwaukee since 1994.

02/23/2014 - 12:16am Milwaukee doesn't have an NFL

Milwaukee doesn't have an NFL team. The University of Wisconsin is not in Milwaukee. The North Starts are not even in the state of Wisconsin. Have you ever seen a map?

I'll be honest, I totally went through this whole thread and negged anyone who said anything good about The Big Bang Theory. It made me feel like a better person. Let's be honest, that show is terrible. It's worse than Hitler and Stalin combined.

01/28/2014 - 9:16pm So how is Taylor Lewan

So how is Taylor Lewan looking now? This is a disgrace.

I was always uneasy about the "Brunette Girls" thing given the rumors but this makes me fucking sick.

04/10/2013 - 10:41am Yeah if bad things happen to

Yeah if bad things happen to our rivals and good things happen to us, we could be in a good situation.

No, you shouldn't.

Get a fucking grip.

If you left, you missed the explanation. With the new software, it autoscrolls comments as new ones come in. There was a flood of comments at that point and one of us inadvertently must have clicked approve on that comment while intending to approve a different one. There was actually a few more racist comments that didn't get through. We all do our best, I assure you it was not intentional.

11/10/2012 - 6:50pm Get a grip.

I am also in favor of CiL. I live in Kalamazoo and I enjoy being able to talk with knowledgable Michigan fans on gameday.

04/16/2012 - 10:43am Inconsistent decision making

Inconsistent decision making from the league sure, but Hagelin still needed to be suspended. That shit doesn't fly.

03/16/2012 - 11:02pm We lost because they shot

We lost because they shot very well, our two seniors struggled and our offense devolved to Burke shooting contested threes. All this mentality stuff is overanalysis.

So it goes.

03/12/2012 - 12:37am This is an embarrassing

This is an embarrassing thread. For one, the guy does have credentials. Second, he is an analyst and the job requires him to pick winners in many games. Sometimes he will pick against your favorite team. Get over it. It's not liked he picked Ohio because CJ Lee didn't hold the elevator a few years ago, he has legitimate reasons. Finally, you sound like the RCMB who constantly starts threads that are either "pundit X picked us to win, I always knew he was a smart guy" or "pundit Y picked the other team, what a moran". Please stop.

11/29/2011 - 7:47pm The difference between your

The difference between your scenarios is that your friend was free to market her skills to competitors and accept compensation in whatever form or amount she chooses. College athletes are not.

If the only argument for paying players is that they earn a lot of money for the university...well that sounds like a pretty good argument.

11/29/2011 - 7:45pm "If we all would rather be in

"If we all would rather be in their shoes, why should they be payed?"

What on earth? That makes no sense at all.

11/29/2011 - 7:42pm The problem is that it is a

The problem is that it is a closed system. These guys can't market themselves and take what people would be willing to pay them. I have absolutely no problem with a performance based system. That's how things work in every other facet of society. There is no reason that college football should be immune.

As for your last point, removing the professional restriction would nullify my objections to the current system and its something worth exploring. Guys who want to play college football for a scholarship + stipend can do that and guys who realize that a football career is short and could end at any time and want to make money while can, are also allowed to do that.

We've been over the contract stuff as infinitum in the past 4 years. Being furious about the university paying part of the buyout is utterly ridiculous.

This shit again?

11/09/2011 - 4:14pm posted from iPhone

This is a ridiculous post. Do some reading on this case. Paterno allowed and enabled the rape of a child. Fuck him. There is more than enough evidence for people to think He needs to leave. They all need to be fired. Now. Every hour they arent is a reflection on the university.

11/08/2011 - 12:20pm You know what? Fuck off. You

You know what? Fuck off. You are so, what's the word, oh wait, I've got it. Self-serving. You know damn well that her outrage is not offensive to me and you are twisting the point.

You're the man. You are morally superior to everyone. Good job. Fuck off.

11/08/2011 - 12:08pm Thank you for clearing that

Thank you for clearing that up. I was confused by the ambiguity in your first 34 posts in this thread.

11/08/2011 - 12:07pm You're being obtuse. "run and

You're being obtuse. "run and hide and then call daddy", sarcastic use of brave souls etc

11/08/2011 - 11:35am Mgrowold, you started this

Mgrowold, you started this thread to ask why McQuery didn't beat up Sandusky. As several people have explained, stopping the rape is obviously the right thing to do but people don't always react rationally in situations of extreme stress and shock.

The rest of this thread is just you feeling morally superior and wanting everyone to know it. You're a bad ass with a hot wife and you would have totally kicked his ass!

11/08/2011 - 11:30am Says the guy calling anyone

Says the guy calling anyone with the ability to understand how decision making in such a situation could be less the rational, a coward.

11/08/2011 - 12:02am Yeah, it's Brian whose words

Yeah, it's Brian whose words lead to the firing of coaches. Right on the money.

11/07/2011 - 11:04pm I'm pretty sure you totally

I'm pretty sure you totally missed the point. The point being that there are a lot of things between "begging an old man to make him take it in the butt" and actively resisting.

11/07/2011 - 11:01pm BECAUSE HE WAS FREAKED THE

BECAUSE HE WAS FREAKED THE FUCK OUT

You keep analysing his decision making with the benefit of 9 years of hindsight, hundreds of miles of distance and no personal relation to anyone involved. McQuery didn't have that luxury. That doesn't excuse his actions but it explains them.

11/07/2011 - 10:59pm Unfashionable? Un-pc? Is that

Unfashionable? Un-pc? Is that your way of dismissing viewpoints that are different than yours?

It's easy to say that you would react in a certain way in a certain situation but the kid was shocked. Seeing that kind of thing can seriously mess you up. Which is not to say that seeing it in any way compares to experiencing it, but the point is that watching a mentor rape a 10 year old child is probably not conducive to rational thought in the few second that follow. Everyone thinks he should have done something to stop it, but some of us are capable of understanding that it's not a situation that can be prepared for by posting on the internet about how you would beat someone up.
