Where three strikes and you're out are simply a suggestion.

Hopefully that was the Tiger version with an American V8, rather than the sedate Alpine.

Instead of leaving EL early, I came early, unfortunately.

Agree, way too many empty seats in the lower bowl. Even for big games like Maryland. I'd like to see the lower bowl packed. If you can't come to the game find someone who can.
I have had season tickets in both the lower bowl and upper bowl but have not had season tickets in years, but when I do try to find single game lower bowl seats they are hard to find on something like stub hub - yet the lower bowl continues to be 1/4 to 1/3 empty.
I too am a minor donor but I think it you can't be bothered to make sure your seats are used them you should get crappier seats the follwoing year.

Poor mans Cobra, what a nice choice!

We have a couple of Honda CRVs, relatively cheap, AWD. Not the prettiest car but good value - not sure if you can get one with a stick. I really wanted a Crosstrek but my wife wanted a CRV - it's her car. I'm thinking of a Crosstrek as my next car when I finally decide to stop driving a pickup.
Unless Hundai gets off their ass and produces this:

Mine was only a few years old when I bought it, but was getting rusty quick. Not sure how many survived even though they were a high volume car. Not especially powerful with the 4cyl VW engine but the best handling car I have driven because of the mid engine. They had a 916 with the same body but a Porsche engine that must have been really fun.
I wish I had had enough money at the time for a 911 but I had been working construction for years and had saved up $2500 by the end of freshman year and a 911 even used in the 70's was well beyond that. $2500 got me the 914, but even them I had to pour more money into it to keep it on the road.

I remember when having a nice car would attract girls, not sure if that works with millennials. Neither of my kids give a damm about cars.

My brother has had two of those and keeping them on the road was a challenge. That along with the XKE are two of the most beautiful cars ever made.

Mid 60's Corvettes were the best. Didn't they drive one on that TV show Route 66? That show was a bit before my time.

When I was car shopping as a kid in the 70's I drove a MG Midget, MGB, Triumph Sprifire, Triumph TR6 and Porsche 914 (which I bought). I liked the TR6 more, a bit bigger with more motor. But I do like most british sports cars. I had a Lotus Eclat, a bit homely but fun to drive but british reliability is not for the faint of heart.

For fun to drive and good gas mileage - I'd pick a Mini Cooper S, again. Relatively cheap as well and it hauls ass and handle well. I sold mine with about 30k miles for about $10k but it was several years old. But it is unique looking and fairly small so might not fit the bill if you like the Camaro look. Lots of interior room, enough for a fat bastard like me!

I recently sold my 2006 Mini Cooper S with about 30k miles so my college age daughter had a car for her engineering internship - no one but me could drive a standard shift. In collage I had a '72 Porsche 914.
Just a sample shot
This one was mine

I sat in the row in front of Johnny Orr's wife (a PE teacher in the Ann Arbor public schools I think). She would ride the refs all game long.

I was there as a Michigan Soph, other than the 70's 10-10 tie with OSU in Football I've never seen a crowd more rocking. I remembered Green tried to go with a heavily wrapped leg.

I was born and raised in Ann Arbor and never heard that story, cool!
|3 weeks 5 days ago||My Dad graduated||
My Dad graduated in '44 and always talked about Drakes, especially the Limeaid. I was there a couple of times. While my son was on campus I encouraged him to hit some of the iconic restaurants that are still in business - Angelo's, Fleetwood Diner, Argieros, Cottage Inn, Blimpy's - so he will have memories to share - as the VBell, PBell, Bimbo's, Thanno's Lamplighter were mine.
My Dad went to High School at old Ann Arbor High (the Frieze building, now North Quad), U of M and had a small business near campus so he would hit up Drake's and Thano's among other campus hot spots.

in the 80's I used to think I was fairly tough and could hold my own in a fight. Then I get in West Quad and see the size of the football players and realized most of them could quite easily kill me with their bare hands. While now I know that even little guys could have kicked my ass those guys are massive, I can imagine playing against them. Before the scholarship restrictions the 4th stringers were amazing athletes. We had a guy in the dorm who never saw the field at about 6" but was well built, fast and could dunk a basketball.

I've encouraged my kids to take risks I want them to have fewer regrets than I do. I wish I had learned to skate and had tired to hit on all of those girls... doubt the outcome would have changed but fear of failing or rejection is strong even with parental support.
