Shame that this rivalry descended into something like this, but the fact that it was so many msu players involved speaks to the program's culture. I'm disappointed Stanley didn't address that in his comments.

The sucky thing about this situation is that I respect the OSU rivalry more now? Is the OSU rivalry intense with hate? Absolutely, but that hate is generally mostly clean on the field and just leads to intense play. Sparty on the other hand has an inferiority complex that leads to violence on a consistent basis

I can tell you with absolute certainty that OSU fans/alums may dislike us but they definitely respect us. While MSU alums (they really have no fans other than that) neither like us or respect us. They truly are the “little brother” who is insanely jealous of big brother academically and athletically.
We really should just drop the juggalos from our schedule. We’ll still be the red letter game for OSU, PSU and of course our biggest rival Illinois. State? They’re nothing without us and they know it. MSU vs anyone but us and the stands are half filled cause nobody gives two shits about them. Including their own fans.

Underrated comment. I doubt either of the cities of Ann Arbor or East Lansing ever want this game scheduled in the evening again. Having a huge number of people flooding the city and partying all day is a recipe for a lot of problems.

I agree. It wasn't directly related to the sharty tunnel felonies, but the night game didn't HELP anything either. It was a bad idea. And we have sufficient evidence now to say that anything involving THAT low class program needs to be done in the lowest stress environment possible, because it's clear they can't handle it in a mature manner.
