I thought I saw that men's gymnastics also won the regular season title yesterday.
Yet another several accolades for athleics while Warde is on the job. Time for the haters to acknowledge it.

Warde may be okay at managing some stuff, but as a football season ticket holder and occasional basketball and hockey game attendee, I think he is horrid at improving the fan experience. Ever send a note to Warde? You will get crickets. The rest of the athletic department will respond and even as bad as Dave Brandon was he responded. I no longer donate to the athletic department, just NIL now because of Warde.
Any AD who is involved in the fan experience should be fired. Full stop. This isn't high school. That's not his job.
And sure, the person who does that that job ultimately reports to Warde...but so does the person who is over academics, or broadcast operations, or athletic training...but Warde isn't tutoring JJ McCarthy on Business Law, nor is he filming Softball games on BTN, and he isn't the expert ankle taper just because he's the AD (and ultimately those areas are part of his department).
Also, why in the world would he respond to an email...do you realize how many emails he probably gets a day? Again, this isn't high school.
Do you write to the president and expect a response? And no, not of the United States...I mean of the University. If you wrote to Jim Harbaugh, would you expect a response? Why in the world would you think Warde Manuel is going to respond to you? He could, but that's not a reasonable expectation.
People have this weird idea of what ADs do...and love to complain about them not doing a job that they aren't paid to do.

You don’t need to. I’m an old guy and it took me many years to learn to stop worrying in advance about things that haven’t happened yet, especially if they’re things completely beyond my control.
This comment is so spot-on in so many aspects of life... I see people all the time worrying about things outside their control, while ignoring things that they actually can control.
Unfortunately it sometimes takes a lot of time and experience to turn that around.
So true, Johnny. My first professional mentor told me that you can’t control what happens to you but you can control how you respond to it. A great life lesson. Has really alleviated a lot of stress in my life.
